"Her name was Futari... Futata... something like that." Jounouchi pulled out the paper he had written the address on, "Futata Sen. A Shinto Priestess. She might be able to banish the Ommyouji." he sighed, not very hopeful at this point, "I don't know how much help she'll be though, since we don't even have the book translated yet. She'll probably need all the information she can get."

((Thanks for the heads-up. I should just make you captain. XD

And that's a good idea. I put a short snippet on the two characters introduced, as well on what Jounouchi and Kaiba have learned about Shikigami and Ommyoudou.))

"Alright. If there's any names that might be the same today still, read them out, just in case i recognize any." Jounouchi said. He was beginning to suspect the same thing as Kaiba; that he was the original target and Kaiba was just an add-on, for some reason. It was starting to seem more likely that this was one of Jounouchi's enemies. Though he did figure Kaiba would have a lot more people wanting him dead, he still had his own fair share.

((Haha, I don't really agree. XD Both of us just kinda talk to people and are like... yup. Okay.

Yeah, it's good to have a reference to at least characters that are significant to the plot. That's another advantage of using characters I've already created though; it's easy for me to remember them.))

"Uh, well I can start thinking of some. You better do the same just in case." Jounouchi listened as Kaiba listed off names, "No enemies that I can think of. I think we had a guy in our class in high school named Ito. I don't think either of us ever talked to him or anything though." he frowned as he thought it over, beginning to list names off from his old gang, "Yoshida, Nakamura, Kobayashi, Tanaka, Sugiyama, Sasaki, Fujii, Kondo, Inoue... oh, and Nezumi... and Hirutani." he frowned to himself at that last name. So many bad memories associated with him, "Those are some names to consider..." he started considering his enemies he'd met from being friends with Yuugi or being involved in Duel Monsters, "Also probably Fujita, Kujirada, Tsuruoka... this would only have Japanese guys, right?" he skipped Bandit Keith, "Possibly Haga or Ryuuzaki, though I don't think they could pull something like this off, and same with Kozuka." Wow, he had a lot more potential enemies than he had realized.

((Aww, that's sad, but I kind of understand the feeling. I don't like playing L4D or TF2 with others very much because I feel like I always suck. XD

Hirutani is the one; he's actually a canon character. He led the gang that coerced Jounouchi into rejoining them in the manga, then tortured him when he rebelled. Later they also tried to get revenge on him with yoyos, because Yugioh. I can put him on the front page too if you would like me to.))

Jounouchi felt a chill go down his back when Kaiba said there was a Hirutani lineage in there. That wasn't a very common name... and of all his enemies, Hirutani had done the most to get revenge on him in the past. He thought for a moment, "Yoshida's was Kenji, Nakamura's was Takao, Nezumi's was Jun, and Hirutani's was... Orochi." he completely ignored Kaiba's mocking of his many enemies, mostly because he himself was still dwelling on the surprising amount. Guilt started overtaking him. This was all his fault. All of the people Kaiba had listed had been involved with his old gang. Even Nezumi, though he'd been a classmate at Domino High, had been taking orders from Hirutani. His stupidity and bad decisions in Junior High had put Shizuka and Kaiba and everyone else in danger. He put a hand over his face, shaking his head slowly, "...see what you can find on Hirutani first." he murmured, "He'd be the most likely to seek revenge on me..."

((Ah, got it. XD

Now I need to remember Orochi, because a given name for Hirutani was never actually stated, so I gave him the name of the eight-headed evil serpent who wanted virgin sacrifices in Japanese mythology. XD))

Jounouchi was quiet a moment. He didn't like talking about his past gang activities with anyone but Honda. Even then, they didn't bring it up very much with one another. The only reason Yuugi and Anzu knew about it all was because they had been forced to become involved later on. He hated that that had happened, and now it might be again... "He... he led the gang I was in in Junior High." Jounouchi finally murmured, figuring hiding any potentially useful information wasn't a good idea at this point, "I was second in command. He always hated that I left... tried to blackmail me back in a couple times... tried to kill me when that didn't work." he was staring off at nothing, expressionless as he explained, "Last time I saw him, he'd gotten hurt pretty bad and ended up in the hospital. Never heard from him again."

((We don't really need a way to link him; Japan's so small and isolated, anyone could potentially have lineage to priests or samurai or what have you. I was just thinking maybe Hirutani's family was one of the few that was keeping up the practice, and he learned it from his grandmother or something.

Wow, wonder what that's all about. XD And yeah, I've been seeing other posts, but just not sure if I really have any interests in the other RPs anymore.))

It took a second, but Jounouchi seemed to return back to reality, relieved that Kaiba did not press for more about his past, or worse, find some fodder to taunt him with. He gladly went back to business as well, answering Kaiba's questions, "I'd never known him to have anything to do with the occult. Same with the others in the gang. They were all pretty... typical." he supposed was the right word. He also supposed he'd better clarify the other three names Kaiba had found, "Yoshida and Nakamura were also part of the gang. They were just followers though. Grunts. Way less ambitious than Hirutani. Plus those are common names. Nezumi was in our class, you might remember, but he also got hired by Hirutani at one point to trick me and Yuugi. His ambition was always self-gain. Not so sure he'd be up for a revenge thing."

((Haha, I usually assume a basic solution if we end up needing one, but leave it open to other interpretations as well. If you have a better idea for connecting Hirutani to all of this, by all means. And I'm totally cool with having you surprise both yourself and me. XD I'll let you know if there's ever something that doesn't work for me, but that's pretty unlikely.

I understand. I still have quite a few RPs, but they're all ones I'm invested in and updating constantly. Not really up for taking on ones that have been dead for forever and have changed the people who are participating. And I'm sure you get by now how uninterested I am in the guild. It was just dead too long and I tried to keep it alive for so long, I just stopped caring. I'm sure that's the same thing that happened to BK when she gave it to me. Well she also just lost interest in Gaia all together.))

Jounouchi was silent for a few seconds, his mind cranking away the same thoughts and dilemmas as Kaiba's, though undoubtedly in a far less eloquent fashion. He had never killed someone before. He'd never been willing to. Even in life-or-death battles, he'd always found a way out of it without killing his enemy. But that might be the only solution at this point... Yami Yuugi had electrocuted Hirutani and his gang, and they came back for revenge. Jounouchi had knocked Hirutani off a roof in a fist fight, and now he once again seemed to be back for more. And it got more dangerous every time...

"If only we still had the other Yuugi... he had a way of getting rid of threats permanently without killing them." Jounouchi lamented, still thinking, "What about you? Would you be able to just... get whoever this is locked away, where they wouldn't be able to hurt anyone anymore?" he addressed Kaiba, knowing he had a lot of power with his wealth and corporation.

((Haha, see it's things like little chats I'm not into. Seems like expended effort without enough reward. XD But I'm glad this is working for you as a reasonable creative outlet.))

Jounouchi was silent. He had only been asking if Kaiba was able to lock the person away, not kill him. But he hadn't considered what the other said, that locking him away might not stop him from summoning. Their choices really were starting to look far too limited for Jounouchi's tastes... if it was just him involved in all of this, he would never consider killing someone... but Kaiba was right. Others were involved. Not just Kaiba and Mokuba, but Shizuka and the rest of Jounouchi's family. He hated the idea of it, especially to someone he, however long ago, had once considered a friend and a mentor, but nothing was worth compromising Shizuka's safety. He was just relieved Kaiba was willing to do the dirty work... because Jounouchi didn't think that he could.

"Well... if there really ends up being no other solution..." he allowed, biting his lip hard. He wasn't sure if he was proud or ashamed that he felt incapable of killing whoever this was. He didn't know if he wanted to admit it to Kaiba, but... no, it could become more dangerous if Kaiba expected him to take someone out, and he froze up, "I don't think I could do it though." his eyes darted off to the side, "I'll do what I can to help, but I can't kill someone." his pride stung at this next question, "...so would you be able to take care of that part on your own?"

((I understand. I don't feel the same way, as regurgitating info still feels like work to me, but I understand. Everyone is different with what they enjoy and what relaxes them, after all. I'm INTJ personality type, so for me repeated things feel insincere and fake, like asking someone how their day was over and over again. I know most people don't feel that way, so I try to smile and answer when people ask that kind of stuff, but that feels like more fakery for me, and therefore more work. XD

And no problem. I hadn't even gotten back on until you replied anyway.))
