"To live without servants... what a sad life," Blink said sarcastically, before growing a bit more serious and said, "The reason why they are doing that is that no matter how hard you try you won't be a perfect daughter. You're a genetic freak according to them."

"I'm sure eventually the MRD will release some 'cure' to your ailment and you could do the proper thing and dump your power," Blink continued. "Unconditional love for anyone usually doesn't exist. And, most homo-sapiens see homo-superiors not only as a threat but as an abnormality. You're seen as even worse freak probably by your parents because you look the part with that hair."

She turned and sighed, "If you want to know why just go and talk to them yourself. In theory you could show up and leave easily enough, with your power. You probably have the range from what I can guess."

"Yeah, try being blonde and half Japanese," said Blink rolling her eyes. "Do you know how many lame pick up lines I had to endure in high school and junior high? High school is great for like ten percent of people, and of that ten percent fifty are going to spend the rest of their life remembering their glory days. Homo-sapien school generally sucks. That isn't society. Society is here. People are fairly accepting. And, here I don't have to deal with the ota-ku or whatever they call themselves or guys who watch way too many foreign movies... I mean I sort of do, but it isn't that bad thanks to Warp. And I could always drop them into the middle of the Sahara if they get too annoying. Actually I have sort done that once... it was Madgascar, and it was only two days... not important."

She smiled slightly and said, "Besides, Warp is a natural born teacher. Live a few weeks with him and I'm sure he'll get you to making scrambled eggs and toast... or at least better than my attempts. You went to the store all on your own... no servants. Yay!" She waved at her dozen finished sandwiches, "And they worked to make normal enough sandwiches."

Shrugging, she picked up her book from the counter, and walked over to the couch and coffee table where Warp had pulled out the sleeping bags and tent. She sat down on the couch and said, "Looks like Warp got most of the gear already. His sleeping bag is in his closet, probably. And I'm not going to wake him up for that." Opening her book she glanced over at Shadow Walker and Calamity, "Anything else you two need?"

"Cassandra? Oh, you mean Cassie," Blink laughed. "I doubt she hates you. From what Warp says she doesn't have it in her to hate anyone. She is probably just frustrated at the situation. And she's at Amp's right? That might be a bit disorienting for her. She might find things she doesn't want to see and just feel guilty or more guilty about the situation. He's with the X-men, right? But was it his free will?"

Blink leaned forward and raised a brow, "Honestly, I think only her secondary power can really take away 'free will'... and even then it only changes free will most likely. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to leave your original priorities. I think Amp deep down questioned the Brotherhood. Maybe he would have bailed eventually, anyways."

She smiled at Calamity and said, "Of course, that is not to say they are wrong... just some people are less loyal to their cause." She glanced back at Shadow Walker and said holding her smile, "But Cassie doesn't have the advantage of knowing Amp on any level besides some ex-Brotherhood member, some 'kid', who ends up getting an obsessive crush on her because of her power. Would you, Shadow Walker, think that is all he is? Or do you think like I do? That he actually questioned the objectives deep down, anyways, and 'love' was the push that set him forward? A love that changed from an obsession to dominate to an obsession to support?"

"And of course, according to Warp, Amp is no where like Cassie's type if she did consider dating," Blink added with a shrug before adding. "I talk too much... Though, I'm surprised you haven't thrown me out yet. I thought you hated me, Shadow Walker. Anyways, I doubt Cassie hates you. But if you want to get on someone's good side see where you are alike instead of different."

"Oh, it is partially your fault, but I realized the whole Amp issue is partially mine, too. And he probably is happier now that he's not entirely locked up. I'm sure the X-men are keeping watch on him though," Blink said before adding a small laugh, "Besides, I wouldn't be so sure that Cassie and Amp have nothing in common. Fashion is art to a point. Amp's interested in art and Cassie likes fashion, that would be a commonality, technically."

"Everyone has something in common," Blink said. "See the commonalities and you can form friendship. For example, in this room we all have physical manifestations of our power. And I would guess we all respect Warp and what he does, though in different ways, I am sure."

"Why don't you look at the fact Cassie lost everything getting her power too? She lost her family. She lost the ability to trust people. And she lost contact with her brother when she left home," Blink said with a sigh. "Warp used to call her at least once a week to talk. It was sort of cute... But, yeah, she lost a family just like you did because of her genetics. There's something in common you have. Her parents disowned her too."

"It probably isn't," Blink agreed, "but maybe it'll help you remember she's... anyways, Warp will be with her for the next few days. He'll direct the conversation. She's an open book with him and he mostly with her. Then again, things may have changed some now. Anyways, have a good nap. Dream about light things like sunshine. Maybe it'll help you?"

She stretched and glanced over at Calamity, "Let me guess you want this couch to nap? Girl talk is probably boring to you. And it is about someone who is a traitor to the Brotherhood too... boring stuff, really. Anyways, if you want the couch maybe I should go take a nap too... I didn't sleep as much as I wanted to because I was looking for something last night." She smiled slightly and added, "But I found it. You can find almost anything with enough time, resources, and trying hard enough."

Sebastian was surprised as the chain vanished from his hand, enough surprise that he lost his focus for a moment. As he attempted to grasp the nonexistent chain, the leg in his left hand yanked out of his grip. What came next was the heel of Dean's foot, slamming squarely into Sebastian's chest. The wind was knocked out of Sebastian's lungs as he dropped to one knee. He coughed and his eyes opened. "Alright, Dean. I concede. You beat me!" he said as he raised his arms in surrender. He stood back up, his chest healing itself. "It's late. That was a good spar, but we should rest."

Calamity looked up at Blink and nodded. He hadn't been paying much attention, he'd been busy playing a word game in his head with Dark. It wasn't much fun though, because Dark knew all of Calamity's thoughts, but Calamity couldn't read Calamity's thoughts, giving Dark a bit of an advantage. He went over to the couch and lied on it. He looked up at the ceiling, thinking about how far he'd come in a matter of weeks.

Meanwhile, in the MRD basement laboratory, Jason Richter leaned back and rubbed his eyes. He was too tired. He'd managed a lot this day, and the first plans of the prototype of the Sentinel 2.0 had been given to manufacturing to build one. These plans, unfortunately, would be on a computer connected to the outside, meaning hackers could get in. The really important information, however, was still locked in Jason's computer. Hackers would only be able to see that the Sentinel 2.0 was about the same size as a person. Jason would now go upstairs to his office, to sleep in a bed he had there specifically for overnighters.

Dean had already switched to a different stance when Sebastian surrendered. He was going to help him up but it seemed there was no need for that. "Yeah okay, sounds good." Dean responded and walked with him. Untill that one thought came to his mind again. The Black Reaper toyed with him. Despite all his years or training. On top of that, he had Warp's power. He could create weapons out of thin air and he had a good degree of mastery over them. Dean feared he had gotten a bit soft around the edges. It has been a while since he had a defeat like that.

"You know, you go on ahead. I'll see you tomorrow. I uh...got some stuff I need to finish up here." He said his farewell to Sebastian and turned around. Two katana's appeared in his hands. Nothing special about them. But he began to attack nothing. Just practicing the poses and follow ups. Each strike becoming faster than the other. Like water it flowed into something else. Within a flash he was wielding a staff. Twirling it around himself and sweeping. That became a great-sword.

It was time for him to really test himself. He started a new program. Something to test his limits. A virtual clone of himself. In a sense he was his own worst enemy. It has his skills and powers. It knew how to use them just like Dean did. It was going to be a long night for Dean.

Felicia always sleeps with the door opened. At night her fox form nocturnal instinct takes over and would want to run around a bit. The door was nudged a little as she left the room her tail wagged a little and she darted off into the night. She hopped from couch to couch in the living room.

Then darted off in a different direction to come across the X-Men's jet. Her ears raised up and her tail wagged with exitement. OMG! I've got to show D'mitri this! We can use it to save Cassie! At a full gallop she rushed back to D'mitri's door. She sniffed the bottom of the door and noticed the light was still on. Looks like he's still up. Gently to not leave a mark she lightly clawed at the door. The sound it made was kind of the sound of a machine running in the background.
