Uncle Kenny Simplistic-Tyranny On July 6th, a friend of mine's account was compromised because it had gotten hacked, since then she's managed to get in touch with an admin and has had an investigation started.
However, around 3pm on July 7th, the person controlling her account was beginning to dump items in the marketplace for at or way below Lowest Market Price. Since we didn't want any of the items to be circulated around the site [ because we didn't want innocent people getting in trouble ], I and 4 other friends in a guild camped the vend, purchasing anything we could afford to prevent circulation.
I currently have 2 CoCo Kitty's, a superior Form, a whip of ice, and a February 2005 letter that I purchased from the store, and I've had them in storage since purchase so I knew where they were.
What I want to know is, even though we [ my friends and I ] have the suspicion that they're hacked items, since we bought them from a hacked account--Do we, the innocent buyers, get in trouble for trying to save her items?
I've been waiting over two weeks for an answer, and I and my friends need an answer as to what's to happen to our accounts and these items we purchased. I'd appreciate your answer and I apologize for disturbing you. Your accounts would not be banned for buying via legit trades in the market, no. It isn't really necessary to buy up all the items though because we can and usually do grant back any items that were lost due to the hacking.
