First of all, I would like to express my gratitude at being accepted into this guild. I have always liked the idea of honorable competition, and am quite pleased to enter a guild full of like-minded people. smile
In any case, I am currently trying to figure out how to tell you who I am... hurm... well, let's try this.
I am a caucasian American female, 17 years old, soon to 18. I live in a house. I go to college. I have people who love me. I live quite comfortably, and know that I am extremely lucky in this, perhaps luckier than I deserve to be, looking at the lack of luck many better people in this world are cursed with.
A small group of my friends call me Gandalf. I like to think that this is because they believe me to be wise and somewhat mysterious, and not because I look like an old man with lots of facial hair. As for myself, I prefer the name Selete.
I friend once told me that I speak in the same manner in which Lemony Snicket writes. I consider this a compliment.
I am somewhat repressed, but keep an open mind where action is not involved.
I philosophize when I am bored. I do not know how successful I am in my endeavors to capture the world around me in theories, but I enjoy the process.
I fear that I am very easily corrupted.
I am a follower by nature, and not particularly ashamed by this. However, I pick my leaders carefully, and I can handle myself alone when forced to do so.
I believe that I enjoy a challenge. In actuality, I merely enjoy a game.
I am a lover of lies. The truth scares me.
I am a seeker of truth. My lies compel me to seek them.
I sometimes spit long lists of jargon.
I enjoy the company of others, but do not always know what to say.
I enjoy eating, drinking, sleeping, being in love, and quoting Langston Hughes indirectly.
I think that just about covers it.
