Well hi... xD Let's see, all the basic facts about me.
My name's Mary, I'm from Chicago. I started playing violin in 1st grade, and kept at it with my school until 6th. After that I focused more on piano but still dabbled in violin. Then I started guitar and stopped piano. And now I'm back on the violin. Full circle, eh? Anyway, Violin is by far my favourite instrument to play, it's so pretty. I mostly play classical-ish stuff (you know, Solo Pieces) and I also do some anime/video game music (like Final Fantasy, Gunslinger Girl, etc).
Since my school doesn't have a classical orchestra I just sort of play random stuff... Haha, so terribly exciting I know!
Favorite composers are Beethoven, Mozart... I like Berlioz... And Carl Orff's O Fortuna, of course! Haha, actually I listen to just about anything classical, some more than others.

Hay I am a clarinetist and I play in the school band. I go to a small school so the band is tiny. I have been playing for seven years. I am also a volcolist and I have helped many of my friends learn how to sing. I love listening to classical music and my fovorite conductor is Seiji Ozawa. I love all Classical music and many composers. I have been to All Countey Music festival for singing twice. I adore music and I want music to always be apart of my life.

I'm not much of a pianist anymore, but I've played the piano on and off pretty much my entire life. I also have a bit of background in other percussions, trombone, Bb clarinet, yadda yadda.... I have almost no performance experience but I've taught piano and music theory.
I guess I'm more of a listener now, save for the odd special occasion when I'm egged on to improvise pop tunes and Christmas carols during family gatherings.
My favourite era is hazily around romantic, late romantic.... I also listen to jazz and I like Dave Brubeck quite a bit.

Hello. biggrin
Just call me Cherry. ^__^ I play the piano. I started when I was in grade school (I can't remember how old I was exactly, but one thing's for sure: my handwritting was horrible then. XD) and after a year or so, I stopped. A couple of years passed, and I became an animanga fanatic, then I discovered the manga Nodame Cantabile.. and after that, I decided I wanted to play piano again. I was... in first year high school. XD
I'm not really that great with piano, but I do my best---basically, I think I just lack practice. Having a quite busy school life and all. XD
Aside from classical music, I do like pop too. My favorite composers would have to be... Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and Chopin. (Perhaps another Nodame influence. XD)
I can't really be in an orchestra, since we all know there aren't any pianos in one--unless they're playing a piano concerto. XDD I don't have a band.
on a side note, I find violin interesting when my friend let me play hers. Although I only played one note? Oh I dunno. HAHA. But it seems fun. I'd want to learn to play violin too, someday. XD

Hi everyone nice to meet you all! ^^
I play the piano. I started learning when i was 8 years old, and have since ended my lessons, but I still play because i like it so much. I've only ever played classical before, nothing contemporary (except for a few pieces on the side here and there). In my last year of training i really only played Chopin.
my favourite composer is Chopin, but I also like Liszt, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky. heart

Hello! nice to meet you all. I am very excited about being in this guild. I am currently a vocal major at university, but I started out as piano. I have played piano since first grade and still accompany tons of vocalists and instrumentalists while playing my own solo music on the side. I played violin for about thirteen years, but I have not had a chance to pick it up for the last few, although I loved being in orchestra. I also played bassoon in high school and had tons of fun. I also dabble in flute and guitar.
I love all composers, although I tend to lean more to anything before 1900. Right now I am listening to a bunch of arvo part, and actually transcribed his solfeggio for my choir today.

Hello to you all. I taught myself piano when I was 8 years old, and now I can pretty much play anything. I learned the flute in 7th grade, and I have been teaching myself how to play the cello for about two months now. I mainly play movie score soundtracks on the piano. I find that those type of things are what make my fingers the happiest. I also really love playing Gershwin. My school doesn't have a band or orchestra, but I am one of 3 people in my school that play the piano, and I am the pianist for my choir at school. I don't really play the flute much any more. I find the cello much more exciting. There is something about the cello that I cant really describe. Playing it is like filling up an empty whole inside my heart. They say that is what love is supposed to feel like. Perhaps I have fallen deeply in love with my cello. Playing it makes my heart so happy, and though, at the end of 4 hours a day, my fingers are sore, and my back is stiff, I feel something that is beyond words. ninja I someday hope to become very good at the cello, and piano, I think I have kind of forgotten the flute, which is sad because I really use to love playing it. Perhaps after today I shall pick it up again. I think that it is just so simple compared to other instruments. It provides no challenge for me, where as the piano and cello do.

Umm hey guys, I play classical piano and have been playing for about nine years (started when I was seven). I am also a soloist. Despite my love for the piano and classical music in general, becoming a musician is second on my list of wanted professions (I actually want to be a nanotechnologist). If I do go on to study music, I want a masters degree in piano performance. I'd love to learn to play the harp. Umm, my favourite composers would probably have to be Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt. Anyway, nice to meet you all.

Hi. My name is Kaitlin, and I'm a bassoonist. And I'm a freshman in Highschool. Even though I only did it for a couple weeks, I made some big progress on the instrument. I used to play the french horn as my main for couple of years. I'm a fan of classicals, especially fantasia musics, but I dont think I'm going to use classicals in my future carrer. Anyways, nice to meet you guys!

Sorry, everyone, but...no real first names from this fellow musician. Not yet. ninja
Anyways...
I'm Puff. Percussionist. Better at mallets than any of the others, but I'm quite fond of my Elmo (lol guiro) and congas. I'm a sophomore at my high school. Pit section leader for our marching band, vibraphonist/everything that's not drumset in our jazz band.
I kind of want to be a band director, and luckily, I love classical music lots. And opera. And stuff like that. biggrin
