Saiya laughed and smiled brightly at him. "Trying to cheer me up?" She asked him with a wink. "It's ok. I'm not the kind of person to stay down. Besides, it's so pretty out here, so quiet. How could anyone be depressed here?" It was so much better than the dinky park and it's artificial trees. She had always been too afraid of her grandmother's stupid stories to actually go outside the city, now she regretted that decision. "Tell me more about the festival. I see the fliers around the city, but I never really payed attention to them before."

Kai smiled. "It's a 3 day festival. Music, parties, food. But all that is seen during the festival is only seen once a year. Special things for a special celebration I guess." he commented. "Hundreds of thousands of people and supernaturals of every color and breed, intermixed into a crowd full of joy and celebration... Not a bad experience." he added.

"Do you ever go?" Saiya asked him with a slight yawn. She hadn't slept since she had downloaded the files two days ago. The first night she had been too busy getting her things in order so she could disappear. The second night she had been too busy running. The virus she had uploaded to cover her tracks had backfired, the company had a better hacker than her friend and traced it back to her computer. Luckily she had already cleared her accounts and was staying at a hotel instead of her home when they ransacked it. This was technically her third night running, and her first day of almost getting caught. She wasn't really sure how they kept finding her, she was good at getting away, but somehow they always seemed to find her again.

"Only on business. The festival draws one of our largest crowds of tourists. So I usually stick around to give any of the disallusioned a guide back out of happy town." Kai answer, pausing a moment to look at a vine of beautiful flowers that wrapped around a nearby tree.

Saiya followed his gaze and blinked. "So pretty." She muttered as she reached out to trace a finger along one of the petals. "I've never seen flowers like this before. They only sell artificial ones in the city." Leaning forward she breathed deep. "Mmmm they smell so good. What are they?"

"Gloriosa rothschildiana." Kai stated, smiling as he looked at the flowers. "Red climbing lilies." he added as he realsized she probablyould ask anyways. "Its the best part of working as a tour guide." Kai commented with a shurg, holding his gaze on the flowers.

"My grandmother always made anywhere outside the city sound like a scary place full of monsters just waiting to eat you up." Saiya said as she tilted her head to the side and seemed to be taking in every detail of the flower. "She never said anything about something beautiful like this ever being here."

"Well some of us do bite." Kai teased, brushing his fingers across one of the flowers blossoms. "But mostly things only fight to defend them things... Tourists blunder into their nests and get angry when the creature attacks. Demanding that it be killed because of its 'taste for blood' its 'ferocity'." he stated. His views on the subject more then crystal, Kai couldn't stand destruction because of ignorance and fear.

Saiya had blushed and bit her lip at his comment about biting. "Is this where we are camping?" She asked him quietly, understanding his views. Humans often sought to destroy what they failed to understand.

Kai shook his head as if coming out of a daze. "No." he apologized. "That would be right over the next hill."

Sighing she started walking. "No offense but I'm ready to drop." Saiya told him with a stretch. "Aren't you tired after all of that running?" She asked him as she looked up through the tree branches while walking in the direction he had indicated.

"Not really." he commented with a laugh. "Supernatural remember?" he asked, taking her by the shoulder and steering her around a tree in her path. "We tend to be able to go a bit longer then humans."

Saiya blushed at his touch, even if it was innocent. "Thanks." She muttered as she turned her eyes back to their path. "It's just that you can't see the stars in the city." She pointed out with a slight shrug.

"That wouldn't surprise me with all those building you have competing for air space... Can't blame a star for feeling intimidated." he teased. "There. Right below that rid line... That's where we'll camp for the night." Kai stated, pointing ahead and into the darkness. "Pretty sure you'll be able to see the stars from there too." he added with a smile.

Saiya laughed lightly. "In other words I should watch where I'm going." She translated with a smile. "Is it safe to make a fire? I'm freezing." She said as she pulled a pair of gloves out of her messenger bag. Her trench was thin, made more for style than warmth.
