My Story...
Mako grew up withen the Sohma estate his whole life, not because his parents rejected him, but because they were incredibly caring and did not want him to grow up pretty much isolated from their branch of the family and thought that being with other zodiac members would be better for him. The truth is, they were right. He attended an all boys elementry, middle, and high school, pretty much staying away from girls who were not of the zodiac, his mother being the exception. After graduation, he applied to a few school across japan and was rejected by all of them, due to his poor math grades, but was accepted by a small art college in town where he is a photography major.
Yet as he grew older, the suffocation of the main houses walls began to get to him. Often in school the other college students figrued that he was a snob, due to the fact that he was a sohma and that he hardly spoke to others, preferring to just stay quiet and takem picture with his camra. One day though, when he was off campus and was taking pictures for his art portfolio, a few male studetns from his computer editing class caught sight of him. The boys were drunk and saw the first thing, a Sohma just "Prancing around" as they put it.
At first, Mako was only confronted by the boys. Never being athletic or into fighting, he was not one to shove them away. By mistake though he ran into one of the drunk boys. He thought that Mako had shoved him and one thing led to another and soon punches were thrown and the cops were involved. Mako was pretty badly beaten up, but the cops belived the boys story, saying how Mako had come into the bar and had told the boys that he would pay them to pose for some pictures. Yet according to the boys, after they had kindly posed for Mako, he had refused to pay them and when they asked for their monet he went "crazy".
The cops took Mako into the police station for a one night stay to "Calm down" as they put it. He could not handle the stress of the sutuation and found himself crying to hard in the cell that he could not control himself. A doctor was called to sedate the young man, only to find that he was having a panic attack and the first step to a mental breakdown. They police handed him over to his parents, the couple having to make the hard choice to have their only son hospitalized at a Tokyo hospital for psychiatric treatment. Four months later, Mako left the center, almost back to his old self but on heavy anti-depressants, and with scars on his wirstis from a suicide attempt when he had somehow gotten his hands on a knife from the kitchen.
After the "incident" as he calls it, Mako had to repeat his frashman year of college and returned to the main estate, not moving to his old room though, but to one of the smaller houses on the estate, sort of like his own place since his parents did not want him on his own after his mental health scare and suicide attempt. He understood that they wanted him to be safe and were worried about him hurting himself again, even though he is sure that business is all behind him.
Now he is back to his normal life; taking pictures almost constantly of his family members, getting rejected to go on dates, editing his pictures on his labtop computer and such. Unknown to others, he is one of the few people who know of Yuki-sama's secret and he cares deeply for her, knowing that she is forced to be raised as a male. Often he will stand up for her even though he knows that she can be cruel.
This Is Me... Deal With It...
Mako is tender, as some would describe him, almost to the point of being raw and exposed to the world. He can let the comments that people make about him dig at his inner being but will often shake it off. Since his hospitalization, he has attended therapy sessions once every other week for the past year, mostly to talk about how his medication is working and how he can try to boost his confidence a bit.

My Life So Far: When Rena was only eight months old, her father, Kenchi Ota, passed away, leaving Rena behind alone with her depressed mother. As she was young, she does not have much memory of her father. She can only remember her father through photographs she saw in the house she shared with her mother. As her mother, Momo, was thrown into depression, she could not watch television like other children (she kept on changing the channels) and was left alone for many days or weeks or months. At times, her grandparents did drop by to take care of Rena, giving her meals and taking care of her well-being. It was also Rena who made Momo realise that she should not just throw away her life Being reminded that she still had Rena, Momo's world started to revolve around Rena.
Rena since she was young had been bullied by her class mates in some ways. In elementary school, when her class was playing a game called "Fruits Basket", her class chairman gave a fruit name to everyone except Rena, whom he gave her "riceball". As she was as shy as she is now, she did not realise she was being left out in the game at all. She sat there patiently, throughout the whole game, hoping and praying that she would be called out, that maybe somebody would want tp play with her so she would not be alone all of the time. Due to her shy personaility, most of her schoolmates likes to poke fun of her, calling her "weird" or "strange".
Yet even though she had no friends and few people spoke to her, Rena had her mother to Return to. Momo doted on her child and worked hard for her Often she would work double jobs to pay for her school tuition, even though a counsler recommended that because of her shy nature and timid personaility, that she not go to high school. Momo would have no such thing and woked hard to support her. A few months fate Rena entered high school trandgey struck. When walking to the store, Momo was hit by a drunk driver and was killed instantly.
Since she had no family to think of, Rena was on her own. the only reason she stays in school is to fullfill what her mother wanted her to, get her high school diploma. She is currently living in a tent in the woods and working at a dinner after school.

Cain is the youngest of eight children, him being the only male in a family full of girls. Growing up, he was often spoiled by his big sisters and parents due to the fact that he was the only boy. Yet he was always the leader of his group of friends, always convincing them to play "hero" by chasing down the store keepers that short changed their customers and fighting the bullies that tormented other kids. His best friend since childhood was always by his side, Milo O'Riley. Due to his nature though, Cain was always getting himself in trouble. Once he was arrested when he was twelve for beating the living daylight out of a guy that was trying to take advantage of his older sister.
He saw that the system was flawed. There was no such things as real justice, there were the bigger and stronger guys who got what they wanted just beacuse they were bigger and stronger (just like the bullies he fought as a kid), the alchemists in the military got bigger pays and power while the normal people had to work for everything, there were flaws everywhere. As soon as he was old enough at sixteen, he joined the military trianing program as soon as he could but dropped out due to the current ishvallen war, his mother was afraind for his safety and did not want him to be drafted into the war that was killing so many people. Doing what his family wanted, Cain ended up working in his parents' bakery and found himself bored with the work. He wanted to change things, not bake little cakes all day!
After working in the bakery for a few years, when he was twenty Milo joined the military and Cain took this as his chance to put his dreams into action and joined with his friend. Since then Cain has not given up his dream of being the best there is. often he can bee seen being as he calls it "The very picture of manliness" and saying; "Do the impossible, see the invisible, touch the untouchable, and break the unbreakable!"

Cain is a very outspoken and detirmined person. He has a dream to be at the top of the military and will not let anything get in the way of that, often he will take the mission and jobs that people in the right mind would not even try, claiming that to eb a man one must put others before themselves. He is a very loyal person and will take a bullet for his friends.
