Donald and Goofy walked up the steps, turning around and looking at Kari and Sora. "Come on!" Donald jumped up and donw, stomping his feet and throwing his hands in the air while Goofy softly hyuck'd.

With a sigh and a slouch Kari looked up, Sora grinning as well before he leaned toward her and hooked his hand onto her wrist.

And then she heard something that she wasn't exactly sure she would hear again, although she didn't give up hope she didn't think she would hear his voice for sometime.
Just like Kari, Sora stopped too, turning around and looking back.
"Hey...isn't that your friend from Twilight Town?" With his free hand he lifted it to scratch the side of his head, frowning a corner of his mouth in confusion.
"Y-Yeah..."

"Bah! Do you want to get this to work or not? Get in here!"

Kari looked back at Dr. Finklestein's lair, seeing him in the doorway again before she sighed. Sora on the other hand grinned and waved at him, striding forward and tugging on her arm. "We're on our way!"
"W-Wait!" She looked back but still let Sora tug her forward, before she looked ahead of her and hiccuped nervously. "W-Wah!"
Even from far away she could see Dr. Finklestein fixing his glasses, zooming in on her and her 'curious' hiccup.

A few minutes later they had dragged her in the lab, Sora pushing her down into the seat while the trio leaned over her and watched as Dr. Finklestein began sticking things to her face and putting a helmet on her head. "It shall work this time!"
The machine behind them made some noise but it soon burnt out, she pipped up, turning around and looking at the machine while she pointed to it irradically. Dr. Finklestein groaned, moving her hand out of the way while she quickly stood up and took off all the doo-dads stuck to her face.

"This will take a while," He snapped open his brain, opening some part of the machine while he worked his hands away at it.
Kari nodded, taking that as her cue to back up out of his lair; but she wasn't going undetected.
"Hey, where are you going?" She winced, putting her arms up protectively and waving them around. "No where!"

The group turned around, looking at her while Sora had pipped in, his arms across his chest while he used one to point her out. [coloor=#a4b294]"That guy from Twilight Town is here."
Donald and Goofy leaned toward him, getting in his face while he chuckled nervously, their mouths dropped a bit.
"Gawrsh Kari, he followed you all the way from there? Is he your boyfriend? Hyuck."

Kari flared up, her hands into fists while her nose became scrunched. "No way! It's not like that! He's just a dumb kid!" She stomped her foot angrily while Donald and Goofy hissed out their own chuckles, making her spin around and stomp out of the office.
Sora ducked his head out of the door, Donald and Goofy following his action. "Come back soon, ok?"

Kari waved her hand back at them, scowling as she stomped her way over to Roxas and Axel; hissing at both of them while she hiked herself up. "What are you doing here?"

Kari winced as he spoke, closing one eye and keeping the other open while her shoulders shrugged sheepishly.
When he started walking away she sighed, still cringing just a bit but she stood up straight walking forward behind him and grabbing onto his sleeve to try and pull him back.

"Wait! Wait! I didn't mean it like that, I just meant...well you're like my little brother Roxas." She let go, puffing up her cheeks while she became sheepish again.
"In Twilight Town, we were just friends. Me, you, Hayden, Pence, Olette; we were just friends." Her shoulders shrugged again, this time her hands going up in the air as she showed her confusion.
"I don't know what memories you're feeling, but they're not of me." She put her arms down and scratched her cheek with one finger, still feelinig awkward. "I don't think you're a dumb kid, or just any kid." Her fists thunked to the sides of her head as she grumbled to herself, "I mean! I don't think you're a kid...well you are...b-but I am too! And...and I don't know."

She let her arms fall, slouching as her head fell to the floor but her eyes looked up.

Kari sighed, leaning forward and grabbing onto him again. "Wait a second!" She tugged on his arm and frowned, not carring that he looked as crazy as everyone else in Halloween Town.
"That's not what I meant, I...we are busy but it's for a good cause?" She sighed, shrugging her shoulders and feeling bad that it did seem like she was putting her new found group over her old time friendship.

"A-And about the Organization and how you "followed me across worlds," she let go of him, lifting up her fingers and putting in her own quotation marks before letting her hands fall back down. "Well, I don't think that's such a good idea. Even if he did kick you out...I'm sure he's still watching over you, being around me and Sora might work to his advantage." Kari shrugged and rubbed her arm, feeling shameful again as she seemed to lump herself with Sora.

"Kari! Come out, come out wherever you are!"
She cringed, slouching her body to lower herself while she turned her head; seeing the trio poke their heads out the door. Kari frowned, pulling herself into a hug around Roxas while she looked up and pleaded with him.
"Can we please, talk in private?" She clasped her hands together, cringing still as she pleaded with him.

Kari's feet landed on the ship with a light thunk, her hair feeling like it had just been sucked through a wind tunnel while she lazily made her way to one of the seats and plopped down on it; looking at the buttons and out the window.

"Well you kept leaving and I don't really want to handle anymore of the Doc's experiments." She waved one hand in the air, leaning forward as she flipped with some of the switches.

"Where are you guys going after this?"

Kari frowned, sighing and scowling at him even though she wasn't facing him.
"That's different, Sora and them need my help; they actually need me to do something." She leaned forward, leaning her arm on the console of their ship while she still played with the switches; flipping them up and down.

"Well, I could tell you what it was like in Twilight Town; that's where we lived." She leaned back in the chair, no longer playing with the switches as she tilted her head back against the chair to look at Roxas without turning around. "But It's not like we were there for a long time," She shrugged, her hair spilling over the chair while she looked at him still.

Kari continued to do whatever she could, keeping herself occupied while her stomach flip-flopped with the idea that Sora and them couldn't be entertained for too long.

And then she sat up staright. Her fingers still on some of the switches and lightly glowing buttons.
His words hit her, and for the first time she thought about why she was actually going so far out of her way to see him.
"I don't know...I...I don't know."

Kari swallowed, licking her licks before she slouched back again and coughed. "I just want things to be like they used to be, that's all." She shrugged a flipped another switch, standing up and turning around to face the ships door and Roxas.
"I think maybe the distraction is over with," She swallowed again, scratching the side of her head and cheek.

Kari's face turned red and on the inside she kicked herself, being influenced this easily wasn't a good thing.
She smacked his hand away and sighed before scratching her head again, "I know Xenmas too, I worked for him. I think we'll be fine on our own. Together...we're more like a target."
Kari licked her lips nervously, moving her tongue across every tooth as she began to become nervous for being so put off. But he just made her so nervous.
Her eyes had drifted downwards since they began talking at such a close proximity but now she looked back up at him, lifting up her hand before running it through his front frindge. "You should just stay in one spot."

Another sigh escaped her lips as her thoughts trailed off, "I don't know how to make it work, they need me; besides Xenmas probably isn't done with you. Having both of us together would be too easy."

Kari looked back at Roxas, letting her hand drop as she took one single step back to distance them again. "We're supposed to go to another world after this, it's King Mikey's castle. If they didn't have me in their group, I think it would be harder to fight Xenmas and to stop him."
She huffed out another breath, blowing up her bangs before stopping after a few seconds. "If you take me to King Mickey's castle, then I'll go with you."
