I'm waiting for Joylre before I post Harrier, but I'll still post Alane after having survived Jayden's attack and then I'm asuming them leaving.

I also leave a tab for this and for the rp up. And I really don't know the reference, I'm only into some later FF's.

I realized that most of you have avitars that match your element. Drac with Animus and Bahamut. Denyala with fire and a whip, Drei with thunder. And even Scythe and Lythe look like something their characters would wear. I think i'll get in on the part and join the cosplay!! : D

What? I definitely didn't dress my avatar because of Rigo, and I'm not so sure Rigo would sport this look.

Hmm... I still have to do that description of Rigo for you, Black Claided. I think I'm just going to be lazy and base it off the picture in Rigo's profile with a few changes and so on. I didn't really have a definite image in mind at the time.

I'm not someone who's really familiar with Final Fantasy, so I'll leave that up to the rest of you.

By the way, I'm not sure if I should post as Rigo again or wait for Drac since Suri is joining the fight.

Well, I pretty much just made it too easy now. The answer to my pop quiz should be very apparent now with my new post.

Anyone confused yet as to just what the f--k Gio is anyway?

I am! All I was thinking during that fight with Kai is "Is gio going to super Saiyan it up?" lol.

I'm only familiar with FF 10 and up. Anything before that is vague in terms of fandom and the newest FF's...they're up to 13 now right? I guess those are kinda vague too. So no, I can't really place where summoning weapons from nothing fits in....lol I saw the word 'halberd' and before I could stop myself i imagined Gio turning into Kimahri from FFX. RAWR! Big Blue Kitty Smash You!!! lol XD

Ima make a random hypothesis based on Tales of the Abyss/ Star Ocean! Gio's a fake human designed to be a bio-weapon of immeasurable power! Right? twisted

And yeah, the RP i deem to be the most dedicated to usually ends up with my avatar reflecting the character somewhat. I have neither the items nor the gold to imitate my character from the only other RP i'm in, so FF takes the cake! (omgeeee i'd love to cosplay in real life. But i'm lacking cash in the real world as well crying )

EDIT: OH WAIT! I remember a trailer for one of the recent Final Fantasies that showed an armored dude coming down the steps from some big church building and there was an army in front of him. they tried to shoot at him and all these floating swords and stuff became visible around the armored guy and he began to kick a** and everything....Is that kinda where you coming from? lol

I can only guess....and vaguely guess at that...that your reference is from FF5?
I've played my fair share, but I'm lacking on a few.
I've got 3,5 and 7 to present day FF under my belt.
But I haven't played 5 in years.
----
Yeah, my avi does kinda look like her, huh? I think I may have actually based my character's looks off of her accidentally. Only...long girly hair and wings and junk. Not too bad.
----
Another crazy rp question.
That I know the answer to...but answer it for my benefit anyway.
Are we going to to do a...8...9...however many..way simulcast?
Or better question. sorry.
When? >: D

Huuuh Im surprised that Jolyre didn't take delight in Orin being bound like that Lythe! Lol.

Im not sure either which FF your referring to. But the name Bartz sounds familiar...FF5 right? Could you be talking about Zidane? He's the only one with Yellow Eyes that I remember. So is the FF reference Dissidia?

My writing processor isn't working right now so I'm not going to reply. Just drag my two along, since the post would just be a filler anyway.

Aw, I thought if you knew that much you all could get it easily. Oh well, I didn't know much about him until I researched the hell out of the FF series. I'm pretty much knowledgeable on all FF games except for FF2 (I hate that one) and anything I don't know about, I know enough to find out quickly on the wikipedia for it.

((PS: Vizzion guessed it in a PM.))

Well, anyway, the character I am referencing is the famous warrior of many swords, Gilgamesh. He was also famous for his cowardly tactic and frequent retreats The warrior famous for searching for Excalibur and only coming up with the pathetic Excalipur/Excalipoor, which deals only 1 damage. xp Gilgamesh also appeared in FFXII wielding many different weapons from the FF series, such as Tidus' Brotherhood and Cloud's Buster Sword, but his mot famous standard weapon besides in FFXII is a halberd, which he wields when he is only in his two-armed form.

Gilgamesh has been a recurring character and sometimes superboss in many games. When he first appeared in FFV, he eventually reappeared in the remake of FFI, and FFIV: The After Years. For FFs numbered after FFV, he appeared as a summon in FFVI and FFVIII. He was a Treasure Hunter/Theif/Card-Game player named Alleyway Jack in FFIX, and NPC in FFXI, and a hired hunt in FFXII. The reason for his appearance in so many FF worlds is because of his last sacrifice. He forfeit his own life to allow Bartz and his friends to beat an enemy known as Necrophobe. This occurred in a separate dimension known as the Void, which is the fabric of reality that holds all of the worlds together. The unique nature of that world allowed his spirit to live on and give him life again, and allowed him to travel between all the worlds as he saw fit.

((I can't say for sure that Gilgamesh ever had yellow eyes, but his appearance changes depending on the world he is in, so I made it yellow. Eye color will be a significant element to Gio himself, so I decided to go with the three primary colors, Red, Yellow, and Blue.))

However, if you all remember, there is one other recurring superboss born from FFV that I have already mentioned in this, Shinryu. I will also say that there is yet another that ha yet to be revealed, but has been hinted at. Perhaps you all would be able to guess it? But most likely not.

Oh, so you've played Star Ocean to the End of Time as well Dreiyan? I loved hat game. The battle system was so unique and the characters were so memorable.... except perhaps Pepita and Roger, though I tried my darnedest to get only Roger out of the two of them since I had to have one of them. Rather dull, but my party was always Nell, Cliff, and Fayt. I loved the Ethereal Blast technique too, but I never managed to beat Gabriel Celest so I could attain it. I was even over level 100 and I couldn't do it. I hated him.

Anyway, as for just what Gio is, that is a secret, but if you guess it right I will admit to it. He, however, is not a bio-weapon like Fayt Leingod or Luke fon Fabre were. His power was slightly inspired by Noctis from FF Versus XIII, (The PS3 exclusive game you saw a trailer for. It's not out yet.) but this power is much more versatile than Noctis'. While Noctis has a set selection of about twelve or thirteen weapons, Gio's options are boundless. Another difference is he cannot summon them around him like Noctis does. What happened when he knocked Kai back was Gilgamesh forcing his own power out to strike at Kai for just a brief moment, and the results were similar. Also, Gio isn't just limited to weapons. He can make shields, armor, clothing, anything he can imagine when he has a hold on this power. My idea for Gio's power is that is meant to be the most powerful when used with the most skill, versatility, and imagination. While other powers rely on some degree of power as well, this one is almost entirely dependent on creativity and change.

Gilgamesh...R U KIDDING ME?! GAH! I've known about him all along but i didn't make the connection. (in like FF2 or some old FF didn't they mis-type his name and call him 'Gilgameth' instead? XD) Oh man i feel dumb. I guess though, Gio summoning a halberd threw me off, if it had been a sword, namely a sword I'd have recognized from the entire FF span, I'd have got it right off.

Dude, Gilgamesh was funny as hell in FF12. My favorite mark to hunt, cuz he coughed up the best armor in the game if you stole long enough from him. I wanted that sunburst sword though, too bad he stole it back. biggrin

I did like Star Ocean, but Roger annoyed the F**k out of me. When I finally got the chance, I kept Albel in the party. But Nell, Fayt, and Cliff were my standards.

Interesting conjecture, Gio's power is based of imagination and creativity right? If he wanted it to happen, could Gio make it so that he didn't exist if he believed he didn't exist? (The Idea came from something called Schrodinger's Cat/ The Schrodinger effect. The only show I ever seen it demonstrated in was the anime Hellsing). I find that an extremely fun power. Very creative.

yeah. I feel dumb now.XD
I can't call myself an FF gamer for at least another 48 hours.
@Vizzion...I thought about it after the fact. but I didn't have time to go through and edit it in. She'll just rub it in his face later like a jerk. cause she's kind of...a jerk...

I'm pretty sure the sword Gilgamesh held in FFXII that he had been looking for so long was the Tournesol. It can be obtained in the bazaar by submitting specific items all at once. The process is described here: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Tournesol

And to be more specific, Gio's power does not manipulate the fabric of reality, it simply transforms raw energy into matter. My idea for this was based off of the law of equivalency that the universe is based on. Matter and energy are never lost in the world, they only flow back and forth from one to the other. You can have less energy in the world, but as a result you would have a correspondingly larger amount of matter, and if you were to have less matter in the universe, the opposite is true. This power is one half of the cycle, the transformation of energy into matter to create whatever Gio can understand. But, as I said, that is also only a portion of his power, there is more to it that allows him to use it to its maximum potential. Granted, he's not even at his best at this point, and won't be until the end of course.

And for me, Roger was the one that was less annoying than Pepita. If you wanted a full party, you had to get at least one of them, so Roger was my choice.

Let's play catch-the-reference again! Throughout the fight scene, I made couple of references to various parts of the FF series. I won't point to any specific moments, though it should be pretty obvious what these moments are.

There are multiple references so I will keep accepting answers until all of the are answered, or you all give up.

Also, if any of you are confused by a certain part or anything, just ask. I'd like you all to be able to perfectly see the picture I was trying to paint in your minds.

I'd just like to add that it was really fun borrowing Jolyre's weapons for that fight. They are really useful for offense and defense depending on how they are used. xp

Yeah, it just so happens that fire is one of my favorite elements, so I decided to change the avatar and go for it. Of course I'll probably change her alot, but I'll stick to the fire/whip theme. It's fun. smile

Edit: Now my avatar looks more like Miya - minus the blue hair XD
