Alia swam into her room looking back at him, "Well, from what I heard of Ariel, you kind of have her hair," she sat down on a small chair and looked at him, "Well, at least he wasn't hostel towards you. I know he would have been if I had gone."

"Probably, though in his position, I likely wouldn't have been too amused at the fact an 'enemy' was in my palace... but I would have tried to at least be semi-tolerant and cordial," Marius said softly, his tone thoughtful.

Alia smiled a little at the comment, "True...and I try to convince my Father to be tolerant of people from Atlantica who come here as well. I know we're at war right now, but...families are being torn apart by this...I try to help as much as I can so they can see each other. I don't care what my Father says, any punishment he gives me is much better than the one he would give to a villager or someone from Atlantica."

"What if that may be the reason behind whatever's going on? What if this person or people are seeking vengeance because they went to prison either here in in Atlantica?" Marius reasoned. His gut said that could be a very viable reason for doing something like this.

Alia thought for a moment, something that he said sparked a thought, "Well, in the past, Coralia used to be where we held Atlantica's prisoners and vise versa. It has to be someone who used to be in Atlantica, but was inprisoned here. That would explain why the grudge is against Atlantica, but they want Coralia to be the direction the rage is aimed at. It has to be an old prisoner that was held here. And I know where the records are hidden!"

"Whoever it was had to be fairly well connected or possibly worked in one or both of the palaces, since they had access to the royalty," Marius said softly. Even if we figure out who it could be, we'd have to find them or one of their 'prisoners' would have to escape, neither of which I think would be easy, he thought.

Alia thought for a moment, "Well, the records will be able to tell us all of that. Only I have the key to the records, so follow me Marius," she got up and swam towards her window

Marius shrugged slightly before following her. He cocked his head, ignoring the low voice in the back of his mind muttering that he didn't mind following her wherever she liked. He made a mental note to ask her how they bathed, partly because he was curious and partly because he was starting to feel the effects of swimming almost non stop for so long. They must have some damn impressive muscle endurance, he thought.

Alia continued to swim down and she groaned to herself when she saw one of her suitors with another batch of bought sea flowers. She looked back at Marius, "Sorry about this...my Father wants me to marry as soon as possible, so he lined up a bunch of suitors and none of them have stopped trying to win my affection."

"They seem more interested in catching your eye for a flashy infatuation rather than anything else; they don't seem to realize you have things you enjoy and one of the best ways to reach you and probably get ahead of others would be to show interest in them rather than give halfhearted gestures when they don't really mean it," Marius said softly.

Alia only sighed, "It's true, they don't realize that I care nothing for items that are bought for me. I care more for items that are handmade, it shows that they care enough for me that they made me a gift themselves. But, more than anything, I just want someone to talk to. Not one of them has asked me how I was doing, or even the things I like to do. All they ever do is talk about how great they would be for me...they don't realize, I don't care how much they make. I care for the person...now if only they saw me as one."

Marius sighed. "Sometimes the best thing a person can do is shut up and listen rather than ramble on... it's tiresome and irritating when someone doesn't know when to shut up," he murmured.

Alia nodded listening to him, "I know that more than anyone. I keep quiet to not be rude, but, I do wish that they would let me talk. It wouldn't hurt them to ask about the things I like either. I may be a Princess...but I like simple things."

Marius sighed softly, thoughtful. "Sometimes its the simplest things in life that have the biggest impact," he said softly.
