Sara smiled softly at him for a moment before she went back to the stew, "The stew is ready," she pulled out some stone bowls and poured some of the stew into it. She picked up two spoons and she gave Nick one, "Here, let me know if you like it."

Nick tasted the stew, it was hot but it didn't affect Nick, he was used to heat. "It tastes good, I haven't had human food in a long time." He smiled at her. "Thank you, Sara."

Sara blushed lightly as he ate and she took her own bowl and tasted her stew. She watched him for a few moments before she spoke, "You are welcome. If you are going to live here, I might as well cook for you."

Nick smiled at her and leaned over to her. "I don't want to be a burden on you, at least let me help you with something." He kissed her on the cheek lightly, closer to her lips this time and moved back and smiled.

Sara looked at him with a light blush on her cheeks, "Well...there are a few things I could use your help with. Just some things I have trouble doing on my own..." she continued to eat her stew as she watched him

Nick smiled at her and his tail wagged, thumping as it smacked the ground. "I'm here to help." He got closer to her and flapped his wings slightly. "But it will soon be night, will it not?"

Sara looked at him for a moment smiling softly at what he was doing. "It will be soon. I need to go set up my crystal barrier before I go to sleep. There are some creatures of the night that are vicious."

Nick wrapped his tail around her. "You have nothing to fear, I can deal with any creatures around here, you saw my large size." He said that as a strike of thunder crashed and he wrapped his arms and wings around her.

Sara was touched at the gesture, but when the lightning struck again, she wrapped her arms around him again and she gave him a soft smile, "How about for tonight we both rely on my crystal barrier?"

Nick laughed and smiled sheepishly at this. He nodded and held onto her, he wasn't sure why, he just kept holding on, to him, her skin was soft and nice to touch. He blushed as he looked into her eyes.

Sara held onto him, enjoying his warmth. She looked into his eyes for a moment before she pulled away, "I need to go place my crystals around the forest for the barrier, could you help me? Or did you want to stay inside?"

Nick shook his head. "I would rather come help you." He smiled again and let go, having his wings flap for a second. "So what are these crystals and where do I need to put them?"

Sara looked at him for a minute before she smiled at him, "Okay," she went over to a brown box and when she opened it, large white crystals were inside of it, "Here, take two of them. One goes to the pond at the edge of the forest to the north and another to the large tree to the west. I'll handle the rest. Crystals have a lot of energy inside of them and when they are placed in certain areas, they activate the powers inside them."

Nick nodded and morphed into the form of a small wolf with white fur and took the two crystals and ran off to the pond he saw. He placed the first crystal at the pond. Then he moved quickly to find the large tree and eventually found it with a little bit of time. He placed it at the tree and watched as the crystal began to glow and slowly rose. "Wow."

Sara went out with her crystals and placed them in the other places and once she placed the last one, four large lights came up and formed a barrier around the forest. She smiled softly as the rain poured down on her body.
