As Vilos left the area, Inae shook her head. She hadn't really cared that he left, but she wouldn't have really cared if he had stayed, either. Taking a few moments to collect herself, she shifted her gaze to the small group around her.

There was Strength, who had been silently glaring in the direction Vilos had made his departure in. It was obvious to Inae that she wasn't amused, and she assumed it was because of the comment regarding her position. Deciding to leave her be, she brought her attention to Miu, who greeted her with a very displeased look.

"Auntie Inae..."

Miu folded her arms across her chest as her nose scrunched up like a cute little rabbit. She obviously wasn't happy with the idea of the one person that could easily find Mirela and Kalan being driven off like that. She wanted to hurry and find them, and even someone as dim-witted as herself knew that it'd be better to have someone help look, especially when they knew where they were, instead of just looking around without any idea of their whereabouts.

"Auntie Inae, why'd you have to be so rude... He could have helped..."

"You think I don't know that? Yes, he could have helped. Did he choose to? No. There's no use in dwelling on that when we have people to look for." A small sigh escaped her lips.

'Though, why anyone would really want to look for those two is completely beyond me..'

Inae turned her attention from Miu, only to have it rest on Nala. "I'm glad to see that not all children lack proper common sense." Leaving Strength to watch Miu, Inae made her way over to Nala before gently brushing her bangs out of her face and folding her arms across her chest.

"To be honest, I'd rather not look for the two of them. However when it comes to terms of annoyance, Miu is a lot worse than Mirela and Kalan combined. From what you've seen of the harlot so far, I'm sure you won't really argue with me there..." She shook her head.

"The only reason I'm even suggesting we look for them is to keep Miu quiet. If we end up leaving without them, we'll have no way of shutting her up. Mirela is really the only one she listens to, and I know for a fact that Mirela won't leave without Kalan. Its useless, really... In order to keep Miu quiet we have to have Mirela, and in order to keep Mirela around and quiet we'd need Kalan. Do you see where I'm going with this? To make things less annoying in the long run, we're going to have to put up with them. Understand?"

--------------------

Mirela had been hurrying along her way, only to stop in her tracks upon hearing the Caller's screech. She remembered that this wasn't the first time that she had come into contact with one, and had prepared to fight it off when the rest of the demons made their appearance.

Mirela found quickly found her body completely taken over by panic, to a point where she froze in place. Even though she couldn't move, she knew that she would without a doubt be killed if she remained in the same place. It was because of this very awareness that she was screaming at herself in her mind, telling her body to move.

Her body responded at long last, allowing her to drop to her knees and cover her head with her arms, while still holding Love and its bow tightly in her hands. She shut her eyes tightly as her heart pounded in her chest. She knew that she had messed up, and the fact that her family was still out there pained her even more.

However, as Mirela prepared for what she thought would be her final moments, she heard a young woman speak, which was enough to bring her out of her panic. This was mainly because of the words that that woman had said. Someone other than her family was glad to see that she was safe. Mirela was a bit surprised, considering the majority of everyone she had met in the past have either wanted or tried to kill her at some point.

Mirela rose to a stand and listened to the woman, who had introduced herself as Yasia, talk. After all, it was a bit rude to ignore the person who had just saved your life from an army of demons. So, Mirela did the best she could to listen, despite the amount of shock she had been in. When Yasia mentioned having questions to ask, Mirela tilted her head slightly, obviously a bit confused. She was glad to see that she was safe and had questions for her? Just what was going on?

She waited a few moments after Yasia stepped out of her way, wanting to make sure that she wasn't just imagining things. After deciding that this really wasn't the case, Mirela smiled a bit tiredly at her.

"Listen, thanks for saving my life. I'll be more than happy to answer any question you have for me, but do you mind waiting a little while? I need to find Kalan and make sure that he's still alive, then after that I need to find the rest of my family." She paused for a moment.

"I don't mind if you stay near me, just as long as you help me fight anything that may try attacking. I really don't want to admit it, but I'm getting tired. I won't be able to answer your questions if I'm eaten alive, so I suppose as long as you help me out, I'll help you. Alright? Sorry if it seems rude, but I really need some help right now."

Mirela hurriedly walked in the same direction she had been going in previously, hoping to run into someone else that she knew. She would have been running, but with Yasia with her, she didn't think that would be the best idea. She could only pray that Kalan, Nala, Inae, Miu, and everyone else as well was still out there somewhere.

She glanced back over her shoulder as she walked to glance at Yasia before returning her gaze to the space in front of her.

"If you don't mind me asking, what are these questions for? Also, Yasia, was it? Would you happen to know why this incident is happening in the first place?"

"This can't be good..."

Hikari's breathing was staggered as her two blades reformed in her hands.
Her glanced fell upon the young boy as the crowd of demons fell back.
Hikari's body gently flickered as her newly found power was still settling within her.

"It looks like these are stonger....now would be the time to get out of here.."

As the Brothers lunged forward, a small "tch" left Hikari's lips as she threw her two daggers in front of her, hoping to catch them before they closed in.
A blade shot off one of the rebirth's arms, sending black blood flying through the air.
It's minor wound quickly healed as the horizontal slash shot at Hikari's abdomen.

Quickly she dashed forward into the slash, the curved blade quickly surrounding her body, her black gloved hand flying forward as she began to pump light into the fabric.
Her hand slammed into Brothers face, her grip tightening as her foot slammed into the ground, throwing them both forward as she ran with the demon.

With each step the blade grew closer to the girl, the second Rifter closing in on her right.
Fluently, the girl jumped, her hand vaulting her over the demon as her legs barely grazed the demons blade.
Reaching the climax of her assent over the demon, her other hand let out a loud snap as her fingers clicked together, the built up light in her glove exploding in the demon's face.

"Sora! Saken! Let's get the hell out of here!"

Sora nodded as her own assailants grew closer.
Using the hilt of her spear, she knocked the Brother's slash away, quickly spinning the spear and running it through the demon's chest.
A crackle of corrupt light shot across the spear's length as Sora's eyes left off the same light in her eyes.
Corrupt lightning rolled down her arms as the spear began to glow.

"Now Tonbogiri! Dance of the Dragonfly!"

The decorative wings on spear glowed brightly as they began to expand.
The wings shot out, tiny droplets of light running down their now blade like metal.
Sora lifted the blade as the Brother struggled against the spear head, it's black blood boiling as it touched the light.

"Now go back to hell."

Sora launched the spear, the wings seeming to flap faster than the human eye could hope to catch, it's vibrations slicing the air around it as it picked up speed.
The Brother let out a wicked scream as the spear shot through the rifter's rift, slicing through, catching the demon along with it's cohort.
The spear slammed into a building before exploding into hundreds of blades slicing all around them, shredding the two demons caught in the epicenter.

Sora threw her arm out, her blade returning to her as she dashed forward behind Hikari.

Hikari turned, shocked that the Brother was once again on the attack, her explosion doing nothing to stop it.
She quickly leapt back to gain distance between herself and the two demons.
Her now bare hand began to glow as she slowly arced it in front of her, a floating dagger of light forming in increments until four daggers now sat before her.
Her other hand fanned out to create four more daggers, each the same as the others.

"This should buy a little time...Eight daggers of Heaven!"

Hikari quickly swiped her right hand in front of her, grabbing each dagger until a fan of light shielded the left side of her face.
Quickly she began throwing the daggers with such speed and ferocity, the daggers slamming into the Brother and the surrounding ground.
As the last dagger left the girl's hand, she brought her right arm forward, her delicate hand aimed at the demons.
Her thumb moved to her middle finger just as the last dagger slammed into the Rifter's head, a snap ringing out as all eight daggers exploded simultaneously.

"Now go!"

Hikari turned and began to run after Sora as they headed towards the town gate into the mountain.
She turned only to meet eyes with Saken, motioning him to hurry.

Saken was slammed against a building as the rebirth wrapped it's hands around his neck.
He grit his teeth as he met the eye of the demon, having blown off the right side of its face which was slowly regenerating.
Saken glanced over at Hikari when she spoke about getting away, agreeing with the idea.
He kicked the rebirth as it changed its arm into a blade before holding his neck and coughing.
He didn't have much time to recover as as the rebirth ran at him.
"Ahhh! Just die already!"
Turning he dodged the rebirth's stab and gripped the back of its head before slamming it into the building.
He threw it to the ground before mounting the demon, keeping his arms down with his knees before building light into his hand.
He punched the rebirth repeatedly in the face with his light imbued fist, ignoring its screams as it struggled.
Hearing Hikari again he stood up and stepped on the rebirth's face one more time before exploding the rebirth with darkness.
"Regenerate from that," he said running after Hikari and Sora.

The demons lay still from the explosion of light, chunks of their bodies laying among the demons silence falling between the once rowdy creatures.
The other demons started to feast on their brethren when black smoke started to surround the bodies of some of the flesh.
The brother's bodies started to rush back to each other before reforming the little brothers.
Their eyes and red shoes glowing as their bodies fully returned to normal.
They glanced back at their fallen brethren before one brother reached his arm out and snapped his fingers.
When they did the black smoke surrounded more flesh as the rebirths bodies returned to normal.
They made their ways over to the little brother's standing behind him.
"Pursue them," the brothers said pointing in the direction the three had gone.

Kalan and Luck walked side by side, though Kalan tried to talk to Luck, he kept poking his pocket watch and holding it up trying to find Birth.
Kalan looked over at Luck, the man who was once his rival in his pursuit of love, now showing a little bit a maturity.
The old Luck would have gone off looking for one of his 'babes' but he put that aside to try and find his sister.
Kalan couldn't help but nod in approval at how much Luck had grown over the seven years.
"Oh babe ahead! Kalan don't talk you'll scare her away with your voice,"
Or he could still be the same annoying man that didn't have a shred of decency.
Luck started to walk after the woman when a flying demon swooped down from the sky, picked her up and flew into the distance.
Kalan and Luck watched the woman vanish into the distance before Luck looked back at his pocket watch.
"Figures the one time I'm sent down here it has to be when demons are getting more action then I am,"
Luck let out a small sigh as the two walked through the demons as they avoided nearing the glowing Luck.
"Even if I can get some alone time, demons are right around the corner. This is just torture."
Kalan stared at Luck as he turned a corner Kalan following after him before he spoke.
"Hey Luck....can you find Mirela with that thing?"
Luck froze in his steps hearing Kalan before he glanced back at him.
"You're....still with Mirela,"
"Well it's actually a long story...I vanished for the past seven years and just recently found her."
Luck stared at him before reaching up and squeezing the bridge of his nose.
"....I can't even think of an insult to define that kind stupidity."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Kalan said stepping forward.
Luck grabbed Kalan by the front of his shirt causing Kalan to grab his as the two glared at each other.
Sparks started flying between the two causing the demons to back away even more.
"Seven years, I don't age and that's too long for me. You're still a stupid human who lacks any common sense,"
"Of course you still lack any heart or grace when it comes to relationships. Do you even know what the word commitment means?"
"Yeah the man who left his woman for seven years is telling me about relationships,"
Kalan and Luck glared at each other before they eventually released their grips and continued walking.
"Good to see your still alive Kalan,"
"Yeah you too Luck."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nala glanced over at Inae when she spoke to her before turning her attention forward again.
She adjusted her hood before taking a few steps forward moving away from Inae
"An easily solution is followed with that," Nala said before glancing back at her.
"Not caring,"
Nala turned her attention forward again sticking her hands into her sleeves, ignoring the demons that flew overhead.
"Separate from them and those problems resolve themselves, you're free to care about the whining of that girl. I on the other hand will happily feed her to the nearest demon to silence her. Of course this is wasted one someone who has formed a bond with that person."
She glanced back at Inae.
"I hope your smart enough to understand I don't want anything to do with any of you, not even Kalan."
She turned forward again before removing one hand and made a slight shooing motion with it.
"Don't talk to me unless you have something to say with more intelligence behind it. In that respect you shouldn't talk to me again."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yasia stood a few feet behind Mirela nodding as she spoke, she could practice patience as there were other matters that needed her full attention.
Once they were resolved however she intended on getting the answers she desired.
"I must speak with Kalan as well so that's a fine arrangement," she said. "Thank you for agreeing to assist me, I appreciate it,"
She planned on keeping Mirela safe anyway to get her answers so she decided not to respond to helping her fight, deciding to let her actions speak.
At the mention of what her questions were Yasia remained silent, and crossed her arms as Mirela continued talking lowering her head for a moment.
Yasia picked up her pace until she was next to Mirela, before answering her questions keeping her attention forward.
"I suppose I'll answer the second question first. Reaper seems to have a hand in what's happening here, I couldn't tell you why but he's involved."
Yasia stopped for a moment letting the information sink in before she spoke again.
"I'm looking for a certain someone and you've encountered her. I must also speak with Kalan, Kina, Inae and Jazz Kobayashi...though I may have to return to the underworld to do so. I'm looking for Tsuliria and you know who she is. She's one of my questions, the rest can wait until we sit down and talk."
After providing answers to her questions Yasia went silent again.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cloaked figure slammed into a building causing the bricks to fly off at the force of the collision.
Asmodeus rolled on the ground after him in human form before stopping at his feet.
A book was clutched in the hand of the cloaked figure as he lifted his head and looked into the dust of the tavern.
Velara walked out of the dust brushing the bottom of her dress off as she watched the two regain their composure.
"What...what are you...no matter Asmodeus kill her!"
Asmodeus ran forward and threw a punch at Velara's head, however she knocked his fist away with the back of her hand and slammed her foot into his stomach.
Turning her her body she knocked him into the air with the bottom of her shoe slamming into his chin.
She unleashed a barrage of kicks kicking him suspended in the air before she raised her foot high into the air and slammed it down into the back of his skull.
Asmodeus face was slammed into the ground causing cracks to form in the cobblestone before Velara removed her foot.
The cloaked figure summoned red energy into his hand seeing Asmodeus had been knocked to the ground. He let out a loud yell as he shot a medium sized beam of energy at Velara.
She back handed it sending it flying into the distance, hitting a handler in the process.
"Asmodeus take your form!"
Asmodeus body emitted a dark glow before expanding and rising high above the buildings.
Velara watched as Asmodeus grew high above the village and looked down at her as the cloaked figure landed on his shoulder.
The four heads, one of a horned horse, what seemed to be a man wearing a crown, a ram and a strange lizard like creature peered down at her. Fin like wings sprouted from his back as his body took form from each of the heads.
The human one stood out in front front as his large hand formed into fist.
The heads roared at her before it raised it's fist and brought it down on her.
Velara didn't move as the giant fist slammed down on her, watching it draw closer with a blank expression.
The cloaked figure's eyes widened as he noticed Velara stop the fist of Asmodeus with her finger with little ease.
"The tavern's closed," Velara said before pushing the fist.
Asmodeus arm went flying back before Velara shifted her stance and delivered a swift upward kick to Asmodeus
Asmodeus' body went flying into the distance as Velara lowered her foot and picked up her broom.
"So many guests today," she said picking up her broom and sweeping up the mess.
The cloaked figure laid a few feet away from Asmodeus who rested on top of a crushed building.
He slowly stood up staggering a little once he got to his feet before looking in the direction of Velara.
"We should be wary of that one Asmodeus."
The cloaked figure held up a book with a strange red leather on it, though the figure recognized it was human skin.
"Still we were able to acquire it....just wait everyone...I'll help save us."

Hikari and team fled from the town, the large dark mountain before them their destination.
The Lotera Mountains, a natural mountain shelf formed seven years ago from a massive explosion said to have destroyed the previous capital.
Sora's blade crackled with corrupt light as if reacting to the rocks around them as they made their way up the mountain path.

As the town gate began to disappear behind the trio as they ran up into the dark mountains, a lone cloaked figure stood, watching their ascent.

"Sir, the three light users have started heading up the mountain."

In a dark room lit only by the flickering flame of torches and small hung lanterns, another cloaked figure stood over a glowing pool of water, a red seal surrounding the pool.
The figure reached up, pushing the bridge of his flickering glasses back up upon his nose, covering his eyes.

"Stay with them but stay hidden, we'll see how the others do, understood?"

"Yes sir...Hawk mobilizing."

The cloaked figure leapt from the gate, disappearing into the darkened red sky.
A small grin emerged from the shadows covering the glasses cloaked figure, the bottom of his cloak vortexing around his body as he quickly turned walking into the adjacent room.

Smoke covered the room, the smell of the dead filling the air.
This room was much darker than the previous, it's lighting stained blood red as a massive pulsating black mass covered the back wall.
The black chains holding it radiated with a red aura, as thick as blood, the droplets raising from the links to the ceiling.
A small man stood in the middle of the room, his back turned to the door as he calculated on the book in his hands.

"Ryo, how is he coming along?"

The man turned to face his master, his dark hair covering the pale skin of his face.
Ryo was dressed in long baggy robes that covered his delicate body, his appearance that of a dead man walking.

"It is a pleasure as always Alexander."

Ryo's wicked grin met that of his master's before he turned to gaze upon the massive chained mass before him.

"His vitals are looking normal. I was almost afraid he'd rip through that body what with the amount of energy his soul possessed, but he should be ready within the next few hours."

Alexander stepped forward, the light of the aura revealing his face.
The black rims of his glasses reflected the red aura that filled the room, accentuating the young man's brown eyes.
His noble posture radiated from his face, the smooth curves of his jaw giving him an air of genius.

"Were the shackles that necessary Ryo? A man of your abilities should have no problem controlling that demon."

A small laugh left Alexander as he jeered his subordinate.

"Oh but sir, the shackles were only there for your safety, lest we forget what he did to you the last time?"

Alexander turned and headed for the door, his tone changing as his pupils flashed crimson.
Ryo's quill scribbled into his book, his smirk never leaving his face as his Master's voice filled the room.

"Have him at 100%...I won't be losing to the Reaper or the other fools who stand in our way."

With those words, Alexander made his leave.
Ryo turned, smoke starting to roll from his body, his grin widening as he bowed to his master's back.

"Of course sir.."

The mass pulsated violently as a single eye opened, peering over Ryo's back.

[ Chapter 3: Piercing Light ]

---

As Mirela walked alongside her newly acquired companion, she found herself keeping quiet. To be honest with herself, she hadn't completely expected Yasia to answer her questions, but she felt that this was because she still wasn't entirely used to the idea of someone who actually wanted to help her.

Mirela listened intently to the things that Yasia had to say, and as she mentioned Reaper, her slight good mood seemed to drop drastically. It was definitely a name that she hadn't heard in a long time, and she had hoped that she wouldn't have to become involved with him until it was absolutely unavoidable.

"Reaper, huh..." The woman lef out a small, slightly irritated sigh. "I should have known that he would have something to do with this."

Mirela went quiet once more as Yasia continued to speak. She had thought that her already sour mood couldn't get any worse, but as a few familiar names had gotten brought up, she felt a shiver shoot down her spine as goosebumps began appearing on her skin.

She wasn't entirely pleased that this woman wanted to talk to Kalan, and matters were only made worse once Kina's name followed after. She didn't exactly mind that Inae was on the list of people to be spoken to, but she did however feel bad for Yasia for wanting to talk to Inae at a time like this.

The last two names however brought a look to Mirela's face that made it seem like she was going to lose the contents of her stomach, which in reality wouldn't have been anything more than acid since she had hurriedly jumped out of her window after waking up that morning. It had certainly been a long time since Jazz's name was even mentioned to her, and was perfectly fine with her companion returning to the Underworld to question him, just as long as she wasn't dragged along.

On the other hand, hearing Tsuliria's name caused Mirela's face to twist a bit more than it already had been, showing that a large amount of fear was still welled up inside of her. In Mirela's mind, however... this fear was incredibly justifiable.

Before responding, Mirela took just a few moments to regain her composure.

"If you're really looking for Tsuliria... I'm sorry to say that I can't help you find her. While its true that I've met her in the past, I wouldn't exactly be able to tell you where she is now."

She shook her head slightly. "Since I can't really help with finding her... What else would you like to know?"

--------------------

Inae shook her head a bit, finding herself to be rather irritated from Nala's words. Despite the anger welling up inside of her, she knew that no good would come from hitting a kid, she decided to just let it be and take her frustration out on Mirela later for leaving her to babysit in the first place.

'Just what exactly has happened to me... Back then, I wouldn't have taken this from anyone. These kids would just be left alone. I could just walk away. The kid's right, not caring is the best option here...' She shook her head a bit, letting out a slightly depressed sigh. 'I've gotten soft...'

"Fine..." She muttered, lightly squeezing the bridge of her nose. "Let's go, then."

Making sure that she had Miu's attention, Inae began walking back in the direction where she had last seen Mirela and Kalan. Part of her hoped that if they were even alive, they had the common sense to at least stay put. However it was at that exact moment her hand flew to her face. This was because she realized that common sense was an unknown frontier for those two.

Strength could only shake her head seeing Inae's frustration, simply followed after her. However after taking a few steps she stopped, glancing back over her shoulder at Miu and Nala.

"It would be wise to follow... My duty is to protect Milady as well as the both of you. I can't do that if we're all separated. Please follow Milady's wishes."

The arcana closed her eyes for a moment as she turned back around, only to open them and resume following Inae almost immediately afterward.

"Coming, Auntie Inae!"

Miu reached up and innocently adjusted her hat. She giggled rather happily, just as if she had already forgotten how upset she had been just a while ago. She got ready to run, however stopped herself and smiled happily at Nala.

"Come on, Sissy! Let's go~! We gotta go get Momma and Daddy!"

Shooting one last grin in Nala's direction, Miu turned on her tiny heel and hurriedly ran after Inae and Strength, giggling happily along the way. If one were to look at her, it would be difficult figuring out if that overflowing happiness of hers was genuine or not.

"Wait up, Auntie Inae! Wait up!"

"Just hurry up and stop yelling!"

Saken made sure to keep up with Hikari and Sora checking behind them every now and then to make sure they weren't being followed.
He wasn't sure why but something was pulling at his chest, and though he tried to ignore it he couldn't shake the emotion welling up inside.
It took him a moment to realize it was fear.
It wasn't from the demons and it certainty wasn't from the two girls in front of him, but something in the air just made him worry.
He kept these emotions to himself however as he continued following the two, keeping his attention forward.
However it ended up landing on Hikari causing his fear to be replaced with rage.
Just looking at her made him hear the sounds of those accursed chains, he clenched his hand into a fist and tried not to show his anger.
He just needed be just a little more patient, once he kept his word to Kalan he could do whatever he wanted.
Of course if Kalan was dead then he could go ahead and do it now, though he knew his luck wasn't that favorable.
"I can dream," he mumbled.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A young woman turned and ducked into an alleyway as the roars drew closer to her position.
Her breathing was heavy and sweat decorated her olive skin as her green eyes glanced over towards the opening of the alley watching the streets.
Her long maple colored hair lay draped over her shoulder her bangs stopping a little above her eyes.
Seeing the shadows draw closer she held her breath and gripped something that hung at her chest before closing her eyes.
Four crawlers ran by in their original forms, one stopping at the alleyway entrance before sniffing the air.
The crawler lingered for a moment before turning and running to catch up with its sisters.
The woman let out the breath she was holding once their screams could no longer be heard, and walked out of the alleyway letting out a sigh of relief.
A black liquid dripped onto her shoulder staining her yellow long sleeved blouse, she looked up at the source to see a rifter staring down at her.
Her eyes widened as she stared at the rifter, carefully trying to moving away from the it.
The rifter let out loud roar and lifted its hand causing the woman to scream before something splashed on her.
She opened her eyes to see a golden pocket watch fly back into the hand of a tall green stranger.
The rifter had a large hole in its chest and fell to the ground before turning into a black liquid.
"Are you alright?"
Luck spoke making sure to put as much suave into his voice and stance as he could muster.
"Ah...yes thank you very much," the woman said before bowing.
Luck bowed lightly to her removing his fedora as he did before speaking.
"Think nothing of it, I live to assist others,"
"Luck there's a man about to get eaten over there," Kalan said from behind him pointing at a pinned middle aged man.
"If I may be so forward, may I ask your name?"
"...he's ignoring me," Kalan said with a sigh. "I'll get him."
Kalan turned and made his way over to towards the pinned man summoning his straw.
"Oh...well I'm normally called by my last name Sonaki. Naki for short,"
Naki seeing the man in front of her wasn't a demon relaxed a little and lowered her arms from her chest.
Luck started to speak but froze as his eyes landed on Naki's chest, his eyes widening as a face flashed in his mind.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luck's Flashback

The marketplace seemed to develop a life of its own whenever foreign merchants stopped into town.
It was the perfect opportunity to obtain rare items not found in the village, or pick up on new discovery's or inventions in foreign countries.
The normally large area was packed with hundreds of people sampling the wares of the old and new merchants.
Since it was morning it wasn't uncommon to see so many people, though when evening comes it'll most likely slow down to it's normal pace.
A pair of green eyes watched the people pass by as they opened and closed a golden pocket watch in their hand.
A tall man wearing a pair of brown cloth pants with brown boots stared at the women as they walked by.
He leaned forward revealing the white shirt he had on before he reached up rubbing some small hairs located on his chin.
He had skipped shaving just to get to the marketplace early and check the area.
"I wonder if I'm lucky today,"
The man spoke with a grin before holding up his pocket watch, a light glow emitted from it as he focused on a young woman at a fruit stand.
"Alright Luck, let's break that monthly record."
Luck stood up from his seat and made his way over to the woman, his medium length brown hair hanging a little past his neck uncombed.
He stopped in front of the woman causing her to turn and look over at him.
"Excuse me but could I have a moment of your time,"

Luck threw his shirt on before making his way over to the window of the building.
He dropped out of the window and hid in an alleyway as he noticed a man enter the house.
Thankfully under the cover of the night he wasn't noticed by the man he had seen in the picture in the home.
He chuckled as he ran away from the home, picking up the sounds of an argument as he faded into the distance.

Luck sat back in the same spot as yesterday holding up his pocket watch as his eyes scanned the crowd.
"Excuse me,"
Luck leaned his head back not bothering to turn around before he realized he was looking up at a woman.
He turned fully around as he got a better look at her closing his pocket watch in the process.
She had long flowing red hair that stopped at the bottom of her back and wore a white short sleeved shirt and a pair of black pants with brown shoes.
"You could at least dress more ladylike..." he mumbled to himself.
Though he said this she did have fair milky skin and her amber eyes had a strange glow to them.
"You're Luck right? The deity who controls...well luck."
Seeing someone had recognized him from his perfect reputation and devilish good looks he nodded.
"I'm Luck, I control good and bad fortune,"
He held his pocket watch up causing it to glow yellow before glowing black then back to yellow.
"Good I'm glad I found you. My name is Hari, if you don't mind I had something to tell you."
Luck grinned and turned fully around to face Hari before making a motion to continue.
"You are utter and complete garbage," Hari said with smile.
Luck started to thank Hari when the words registered with him causing him to stare at her, his left eye slightly twitching.
"You have to use that pocket watch of yours just to get a date and you look like you climbed out of an alleyway. Some deity you are."
Luck recovered from his shock and stood up clenching his hand into a fist.
"How dare you mortal! You underestimate my already heightened talents. I only use my pocket watch to speed up the inevitable."
"Is that so? If you have that much confidence how about a bet then? I bet you can't land one woman in a period of three days without your power. If...no wait...when you fail you have to do what I say for a day. Sound fair to you?"
"I accept your bet, and when I win, you'll serve as my servant for an entire week."
Hari took Luck's hand before the two glared at each other.

Nala shook her head and started to follow after the three when she felt a chill go up her spine.
The area around her vanished as everything went dark.
She looked around only to see endless darkness, and hear low chuckling from all around her.
"I pulled you into your own consciousness. No one can hear you here."
Nala quickly turned to see Reaper standing behind her, a small grin on her face.
She took a few steps back before Reaper turned his attention into the distance.
"No need to fret I'm not here to kill you. Though I could considering how many times you've been at my door. I came here to tell you I want you to let out little of it out."
Nala's face was hidden behind her hood but Reaper could tell she was glaring at him.
"It's not up for negotiation, if you don't do it I'll drag you down into the underworld like I should have done four years ago."
Reaper snapped his fingers and Nala opened her eyes to see Miu running to Inae.
She lowered her head and followed after clenching her robe as Reaper's words echoed in her mind.

"Found you!"
A cloaked figure landed a few feet in front of Inae throwing off the cloak she wore in the process.
White vine like objects started surrounding the the four, including the area behind the woman.
The woman stood a little over five feet tall, her light purple hair was tied in two twin tails and a white skull floated near her.
Her pointed ears twitched a little before her red eyes settled on Inae.
She spread her feet a little causing her black dress to flutter before a small smile formed on her face.
"Inae, wielder of the summons. I could earn a reward if I I gave those cards to our leader as a gift."
The woman flexed her hands causing red snow to circle around her hands.
"Oh how rude of me I didn't introduce myself. My name is Mazis, I'll be your executioner today."

"Shut up,"
Nala walked forward pushing Miu out of the way before walking in front of Inae.
Mazis look down at Nala before she leaned down placing her hands on her knees.
"Awww is the little girl cranky?"
Nala lifted her head causing her right eye to show itself in the light before it narrowed at Mazis.
A red mist started to seep out of Nala as an immense amount of dark pressure started to fill the area.
Corrupt energy started to float around them in tiny streams of red smoke as corruption started to pour out of Nala.
The air seemed to be stained with red as the corruption filled the area confined by the vine gate.
The cobblestone started to crack at the pressure being forced upon it. A black substance started to form on the buildings from the exposure of the corruption.
Mazis quickly jumped back before putting her hand over her mouth, a nauseous feeling starting to overcome her.
"W-what is this....it's..hard to breathe all of a sudden. Is this corruption coming from that girl?"
Mazis let her thoughts try to seek answers as she kept her mouth closed to keep from throwing up.
Demons started to draw in at their location, recognizing the familiar stench of hatred and malice that emanated from Nala.
It wasn't long before the five were completely surrounded by a horde of demons.
Nala glanced over at the demons before her hand twitched slightly.
The pressure in the air seemed to shift for a moment before returning to normal, the demons around them falling apart afterwards.
Chunks of rotted flesh and heads rolled into the streets as crimson ran down the side of the buildings and rained down on the five as Nala's corruption literally crushed the demons around them in one motion.
"It seems you can't breathe properly. That proves you're not a demon."
Nala allowed her corruption to fade away slightly causing Mazis to remove her hand from her mouth.
Flexing her hand she made the red snow appear again as her attention landed on the five.
"What are you...no human can emit that much corruption and still live. Not even an arch demon can let that much out."
Mazis made the vines around them grow taller ensuring their was no exit.
"You three," Mazis said motioning to Inae, Strength and Miu. "I won't let you live either, not if you're protecting this thing."
Red energy circled around Nala's hand before a large rectangular blade appeared in her hand.
The sword was much larger than Nala and had a strange mechanism at the top.
Nala slammed the sword into the ground, breaking the cobblestone in the process causing the sword to stick out of the grown.
The mechanism on the top of the sword opened up though nothing happen.
Nala took a seat on the blunt part of the sword.
"Its hard to threaten someone when your shaking Executioner. ,"
Nala crossed her arms as Mazis extended her hands into the air causing and large medium sized wave of red snow to descend upon the four.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yasia didn't speak for a moment after Mirela spoke as her attention was focused on the area around them.
She looked in a direction as she picked up a strange signature of energy before looking back at Mirela.
She wanted to tell her about what she had felt but creating distractions would only hinder her main objective.
However not wanting to be rude she decided to respond to her.
"I'm sorry but I still have to question you about Tsuliria. You are one of the few to have actual contact with her so it doesn't matter if you know her location. I know your relationship with her was....well I don't think it can be called a relationship. I know more about you than you may thin Mirela. I know Reaper threatened to use your spine as a bowstring, I know you and Kalan are lovers. There's much I know about you and the others, I came to find you with that knowledge. I seek to expand it and use that to seek Tsuliria. Kalan may not comply with my wishes at least my memories say so. I know he will not give me that information without good reason since she is his sister. Right now you are the only person who may willingly answer my questions, thus why I came to you first."
Yasia reached up and adjusted her hood making sure her face couldn't be seen before turning her attention into the distance.
"I'm sorry to force this on you. I want you to return to Kalan so you can find happiness again, for both of you. When I do please answer my questions. Do you have any more questions for me Mirela Lovel?"
Yasia stopped and opened her book as she noticed a carrier coming their way.
The carrier let out a dark glow and its eyes glowed a bright red.
"I guess they'll have to wait. That's a corrupt carrier, a feeder has made its way into it."
The carrier opened it's large mouth causing four crawlers to fall out before he spit out a regular rebirth.
Yasia's book appeared in front of her before the pages started flipping.
She glanced behind her to see two rifters appear behind them before a feeder peeked it' head out of an alleyway.
"I'll handle the carrier and the crawlers, please take out the ones behind us,"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Velara crossed her arms as the tavern owner stared at the empty spot on his mantle.
"Vel...you said that man with green colored hair and a weird headpiece stole that book."
Velara offered a small nod as she stood a few feet away, hands folded in front of her.
The tavern owner sat down in a nearby chair and squeezed the bridge of his nose.
"That's not good...I recovered that book after demon overrun."
"Demon overrun...you mean that event seven years ago with father Kervani?"
"Yes...that's the book he used to unleash them in the first place. Rai gave it to him since he had a connection with Pet, thus he could open a hole to the underworld. Of course Kervani didn't realize he had been fooled into opening the door to the underworld for Rai to slip into. I grabbed the book afterwards to keep the door from being opened again at random...however if the owner of the book is now Xalvodin....this may cause some trouble."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xalvodin gripped the book having sealed Asmodeus back since he had taken some damage in the fight with Velara.
Xalvodin took his cloak off causing his long green hair to fall to his back before he held his gloved hand out, his staff floating beside him.
A pentagram had been drawn on the ground in front of him in blood from both demons and humans.
Xalvodin started reciting a strange chant in another language causing the pentagram to glow.
His clothing fluttered as energy started to build in the area before a bright red glow filled the room.
Xalvodin held his arm up to shield from the light before he lowered it to see five glowing figures standing in each circle of the pentagram.
"It worked...hahahaha it really worked. Allow me to welcome you with open arms my brethren,"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"You look very tense, calm yourself I know you can smell the flesh outside."
The leader turned to the window as a human shaped figure twitched nearby, pieces of it's armor glowing purple as its red pupils stared wide eyed at the leader.
"Our brethren are out in search of Tsuliria. Yet I keep you confined here. You'll have to excuse me for being fore-thoughtful but I am concerned about your well being."
The leader looked over at the figure at it cackled lowly to itself before twitching again mumbling something.
A small smile formed on the leader's hidden face before she turned back towards the darkness.
"Nonsensical...I suppose you're right in that regard."

As the chaos raged on in the capitol, things outside were just as bad.
In the ruins of the old capitol, demons swarmed over the rubble, tearing the earth to shreds as if in search of something.
The air lay heavy across the crumbled ruins as a black cloud hang in the air, particles of darkness and rubble surmising it.

Just outside of the carnage, the field of Karma too lay under siege as burning gates filled it's landscape, demons pouring from them.
The once battle filled field was now a docking point for the demon army that had overrun the world.

The demons in the field halted as the ground began to shake around them, a massive gate opening at the apex of the field, the dark flames bursting forth from the underworld as hell fire surrounded the gate.
A small figure appeared in the gateway, a black mist slowly flowing out as they stepped into the world of the living.
As the mist began to fill the field, hundreds of black masses began to wriggle within it, tiny red eyes forming.

"The world has gone on long enough without judgment, it is time to once again cast punishment down upon these fools."

A soft female voice rang out as the black masses formed into dark shadowy creatures, each with tiny wings adorned upon their backs.
The creatures launched forward, their blackened claws and fangs tearing through the demons within the field.
A small laugh echoed over the screams as the tiny figure stepped into the light, her silverish hair flowing in the "night" air.
Her clothes were tattered and worn, the ends singed and burnt, a lone cross shaped pendant dancing along the fabric.
The young woman's yellow eye shined brightly as the other half of her face was covered by her hair.

"Come my pets, lest we let the dog catch up to us."

Both Inae and Miu had been completely stunned by the sudden display from Nala. However after a few moments, Inae returned to her senses and shook her head, running her slightly trembling hands through her hair. She did her best to glance at the area around them, as if she had been trying her best to assess the situation.

However, when she saw Miu's legs completely trembling, she narrowed her eyes and reached down, quickly snatching the child's hat off of her head and grabbing the bag of feathers that Miu had stashed there, paying no mind to a small silver key that had been tucked inside the seam of the hat.

"Miu, listen to me!"

Inae hurriedly put Miu's hat back where it belonged before shoving the bag of feathers into the child's hand. In a normal situation, she would surprisingly had been a bit more gentle, but the current situation was far from anything 'normal'.

"W-What is it... A-Auntie.. Auntie Inae...?"

Miu tightly clutched onto the bag that had been shoved into her hands, trying her best to listen to what it was that Inae had to say. Her legs were trembling to a point where she wasn't entirely sure if she would be able to stand up after she had been pushed out of the way, which at this point she had completely forgotten about it. Large amounts of fear were clearly visible in her eyes.

"Use your power to put up a barrier around us, and be quick about it!"

After glancing up at the red snow that had started its descent down upon them, she knew that now was not the time to be anything but hasty. Once she saw Miu start rummaging through the bag, Inae brought her attention back to Nala. She felt slightly bad for leaving her out of the barrier, but something that she had said eased its way back into her mind.

"It seems that you can't breathe properly. That proves you're not a demon."

Remembering this caused Inae's attention to quickly move to Strength, who hadn't seem surprised by the display in the slightest. Despite her human appearance, she knew that Strength wasn't anything more than a summon. Mist in a human form. By that logic, Inae assumed that Strength would be able to withstand being close to Nala.

"Strength, you have a new priority."

"Yes Milady?"

"Fight alongside that child, her safety comes first. If I'm right, Miu and I will be just fine. Do whatever you have to in order to keep that child safe. Now, go!"

"...If that's what Milady wishes... then very well."

Strength quickly made her way forward, stopping just a few steps in front of Nala. She hadn't actually wanted to abandon Inae's side the way she did, but she knew that she didn't quite have a choice in the matter.

"Young lady, please allow me to assist you."

It didn't take Miu long to start forming a barrier around herself and Inae, but it didn't quite change the fact how scared that she was. After the barrier went up, covering just a small area around the two of them, Miu managed to pull herself up off of the ground.

"Auntie Inae... since when was Sissy so scary?..."

"I don't know... But now isn't the best time to ask questions. It looks like we're just going to have to put off finding Mirela and Kalan for now."

Giving a tiny nod, Miu gazed onward, keeping her focus on Nala, Strength, and Mazis. In her hand she clutched a large feather in hopes that her barrier, crackling with energy on the outside could withstand any attack sent their way.

--------------------

Mirela hadn't been too happy knowing that she would still be questioned about Tsuliria, and had wanted to protest further about the matter, but as the demons approached them, all she could do was take a deep breath in an attempt to muster up a bit more strength.

Despite her irritable mood, Mirela was a bit thankful for Yasia offering to take out some of the demons for her, and she was able to accepted helping out with the rest. With that, Mirela gave a nod and turned around, bringing her gaze to the Rifters. She noticed the Feeder poke its head out and took note of its existence before raising Love and its bow and shifting into playing position.

"No problem," She chuckled a little tiredly. "I'm still feeling weak, so whenever you finish with your side, please help me with mine if I'm having trouble. Good luck, Yasia. Remind me to give you a nickname when we're finished here."

Mirela then took another deep breath and drew her bow across Love's strings once more, causing a bitter sounding melody to resonate throughout the area at a moderate tempo.

Green energy began forming in the air around the two of them, however it quickly split into three separate streams.

As Mirela picked up the tempo slightly, the streams began to rapidly shoot toward the demons, one stream aiming for each. As the streams traveled, they left trails of green energy which continued to linger in the air even after the streams continued moving.

Mirela knew that it wasn't much, but she wanted to conserve as much energy as possible in the even of something bigger coming by with the desire for blood.

Letting the streams draw in closer to their targets, Mirela prepared for a shift in her melody, planning on using the extra trails of energy for a backup plan just in case her initial plan failed, which she had a strong feeling that it would. Still, she was hopeful.

'Please work...!'

(Profiles updated)

Nala watched as the snow descended upon them remaining seated even when strength came to stand next to her.
Seeing it draw closer Nala stood up and gripped the hilt of her sword, and raised it in one swift upward motion.
The wave of red snow divided into two halves slamming into the buildings around them decimating them before evaporating.
Mazis took a step back before glaring at Nala, who gripped the hilt of her swords with both hands.
Mazis snapped her fingers causing her skull to let out an ear shattering wail.
Nala tapped the large sword on her shoulder as dark figures started to close in on their location.
Four handlers hovered above them in a small circle before two carries waddled out of the rubble behind them.
Two callers let out their loud screams which only summoned more demons that soon surrounded the four in waves.
The demons filled the alleyways and crawled to the edge of the roof as they reached their main location.
All the demons eyed the group and thanks to the corruption in the air, their hunger was intensified causing black saliva to drip out of their open mouths.
Nala looked around them for a moment before gripping her sword with two hands as Mazis chuckled.
Nala took a step forward swinging her sword diagonally up towards Mazis.
A large purple wave of energy that towered over the buildings exploded from the sword and traveled along the street in a long purple trail.
Mazis eyes widened before she summoned a barrier as the attack hit her sending her flying back and slamming into a building on the far end of the road.
A large trail of broken cobblestone remained as Nala lowered her sword.
"If you want to be useful," Nala said addressing Strength. "Kill them,"
Nala pointed at the demons with her sword as she spoke.
forty-two crawlers, twenty-two rifters, four handlers, nine feeders, fourteen sister crawlers, three carriers and two rebirths stood around them.
More were probably on the way since the wail echoed considerably far.
"You're still alive? Can't you do one good deed today and die,"
"Shut it monster!" Mazis retorted back as she raised her hand into the air.
Red snow started to draw in around her gathering above her head, the snow slowly started to expand from a small red ball as it grew larger starting to reach the size of a small sun.
An army of demons lay in front of her blocking the way as a grin came across Mazis face as she continued to form the large ball of snow above her.
"I'll kill all of you in a rain of crimson!"
Nala's sword vanished before a purple aura surrounded her causing her cloak to flutter for a moment.
"I'm a monster?"
Nala flexed her hand the purple energy surrounding one of the handlers, the handlers eyes widened before it was torn completely in half the two halves hurled into the demons crushing a few of them.
"If I'm a monster does that make you an abomination?"
Nala jumped into the air as the demons ran towards them, four crawlers made their way towards strength as two of the feeders made their way towards three of the sister crawlers who were moving towards Inae and Miu.
The rifters didn't move but one of the rebirths was slowly walking towards strength forming it's arm into a blade.
An explosion of energy erupted from Nala as eight crawlers were lifted into the air before they were hurled into one of the handlers, causing it to fall and crush a building.
Turning her body she made a sweeping motion with her hand as her sword formed back into her hand.
She stabbed her sword upward into the stomach of a crawler in mid air, before running along it cutting it in half.
Turning her body she drew the two blades as she spun slicing through the demons that ran towards her as a flurry of slashes filled the area around her.
The sword vanished as a pair of large gauntlets with the face of a lion appeared on her fists.
Nala raised her hand into an uppercut as she neared a carrier sending it flying into rifter.
She turned around and slammed her fist down into a feeder crushing it.
She dismissed the gauntlets and returned her sword to her hand before holding her hand up.
Eight glowing red swords appeared above her before crashing down creating a ring of red around her.
She stabbed her sword into the ground next to her and crossed her arms as the red blades rapidly slashed around her creating a sphere of red lines slashing apart the demons around her.
Nala closed her eyes as a rifter drew closer to her from behind within it's rift.
She turned to look at it before rolling out the way as it tried to cut her stopping in the center of the slashes.
Nala pushed it forward which cut it into pieces as it fell into the myriad of red lines.
The red lines stopped as Nala picked her sword back up, purple blood decorated her face and cloak as she shook it off her sword.
"The rest are yours," she said glancing back at the others.
Seven more crawlers crawled along the wall as little brother rebirths made their way towards them.
With that Nala walked forward resting her sword against her shoulder as she made her way towards Mazis.
The darkness of her hood remained focused forward as what few demons remained moved out of Nala's way moving back into the darkness.

Luck's Flashback

Luck rotated his right shoulder and slapped his face a few times before smirked.
He had shaved for the challenge getting rid of his scruff, and his brown hair was combed and currently down.
He picked a white cotton shirt without patches and a pair of black pants with brown boots.
He adjusted a pair of brown gloves on his hands as he looked towards the market.
"One date in three days, watch and learn mortal you might learn something,"
Hari smiled and waved as Luck made his way into the market, the beautiful morning gave Luck confidence as he vanished into the crowd.
Luck approached a woman who was sitting at her stand reading a book, dressed in a grey cloak, her blond hair tied in a bun.
Once Luck neared her he cleared his throat before opening his mouth to speak, however the woman spoke first.
"Not interested," she said in a dull tone keeping her attention on the book.
Luck stared at the woman, confusion setting in before he opened his mouth to speak again
"Still not interested," she said turning a page. "If you go away I won't call the guards."
Luck blinked a few times before turning and walking away from the stand.
To Luck's displeasure his courting skills didn't help him, causing similar situations to occur until he reached his time limit which was evening.
Luck sat on a bench, his face buried in his hand as Hari leaned over the back of it staring at him.
"Wow you're really bad at this...a lot worse than I thought."
Luck lifted his head from his hands and let out a long sigh before looking over at Hari.
"I'm a little rusty. I got it out of my system so tomorrow is mine,"
The day passed once again and Luck sat on the same bench, hunched over with his forehead resting on his knees.
His eyes were closed as Hari leaned against the bench backwards staring at the evening sky.
"Wow you actually got paid to go away. I haven't seen that one yet," Hari said nodding a few times.
"Impossible...it has to be some kind of fluke," Luck mumbled.
"You say something?"
"No...and today was just a string of bad luck. I'm at my best in crucial situations, tomorrow for sure."
"Don't you control luck?"
"....shut up..."
Hari sighed and turned around before she reached into her her pocket and held a piece of fruit out to Luck.
Luck stared at her for a moment before reaching over and taking hold of it.
Hari sat next to him and took out another piece before taking a bite of it.
"Give it your all. It'll make it all the better when you lose," Hari said before taking another bite.
Luck glared at her but took a bite of fruit.

Luck leaned against the wall of a closed shop as he looked into the market place.
It was daylight and the normal time he came to the marketplace, today was the last day of the foreign merchants so this was his last chance.
The previous days failures repeated through his mind as he reached into his pocket and pulled out his watch.
He started to open it when his eyes landed on a woman buying fruit at one of the stands, not too far away.
He stared at her for a moment before looking back at his watch and shoving it back into his pocket before walking over to her.
Hari pulled her head back around the corner of a nearby stand as she watched Luck put his pocket watch away.
"Surprising," she said with a small smile as she walked away.

Luck sat on the bench his arms resting on the top of it as he stared up at the sky with a small sigh.
The sun had set and evening had descended on the day again, and just like before he failed.
Today was especially bad, worse than the previous few days.
He had to dodge four husbands while trying to court, which was more difficult than he thought without his power.
He felt completely drained and knew what was going to occur soon as soon as Hari got there.
"You look defeated."
Hari leaned over Luck and looked down at him causing him to glare at her before sitting fully up causing her to lift her head.
"By some weird circumstances I've lost. I admit defeat, I'm mature enough to at least do that. Thought I just barely lost."
"Just barely? Luck I think one of the women actually went on a lifelong journey just to avoid being asked out by you again. Then there was the one that went to become a nun too."
Luck hung his head before looking over at Hari, his eyes narrowing as he saw her smile.
"Actually you could have won the bet if you held out a little longer."
Luck lifted his head hearing this before he stood up causing Hari to tilt her head.
"You mean I actually succeeded! Uh...I mean of course I did....but who was it since there were so many?"
Hari put her hand over her mouth to contain her laugh before waving it at him.
"No wonder you failed, you're really bad at this kind of thing aren't you?"
"Would you stop taunting me. Tell me who it was, maybe I can catch them."
Hari put a hand to her cheek and averted her gaze for a moment as she thought for a moment.
"I'll give you a hint."
Luck nodded before Hari put her hands on his cheeks causing Luck to flinch.
She brought her lips to his and closed her eyes lingering for a moment before backing away.
Hari lowered her hands before turning around and walking away from him, she raised her hand as she left before speaking.
"Be here tomorrow when the market opens. I'll be mad if you don't keep your word"
Luck watched Hari go before he put his hand to his face as his face turned a deep crimson as he closed his eyes.
"...annoying mortal,"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yasia gave a nod to Mirela as the crawlers made their way towards her, small writing started to float in front of her before an explosion of energy shot forward decimating two of the crawlers.
The carrier started to spit out another demon but Yasia flipped another page before turning her book to face him.
A red orb hovered in front of the book before a red beam of energy shot out of it, hitting the carrier disintegrating it in the process.
She drew a few letters with her finger as the rebirth drew closer, and in one motion took out half it's body causing it to fall to the ground and fade into black smoke.
She grabbed the remaining letters lingering in front of her and fired two short beams at the remaining two crawlers as they jumped at her, before she let out a small sigh.
Yasia looked back at Mirela as she turned to help her.

One of the rifters had been taken out by Mirela's attack, however the other one was able to dodge the attack and ran over to the feeder.
It grabbed the feeder before biting into it's head, feasting on the tiny creature.
The rifter wiped it's mouth as it body started cracking as the feeder started taking effect.
It's purple skin took on a black color before dark a aura surrounded the rifter's body.
The rifters slashed into the rift before it started slashing rapidly at Mirela.
The rapid slashes took on a black color before dividing into two different claws marks that closed in on Mirela.
The one on the right seemed lighter than the one on the left but both drew closer to Mirela.
"You can't hit it like that. Get out of the way!" Yasia yelled.
The rifter drew steadily closer to the two causing Yasia to open her book.
However, before the rifter could reach them an array of pale red lines appeared in front of Mirela.
The rifter hit them its was cut into pieces from the attack before it landed around Mirela, the lines fading shortly after.
Seeing the lines Yasia quickly looked around seeing the other demons had been wiped out while they were occupied as well.
"That was the weeping widow...only Linora knows how to use that..."
Yasia's eyes landed on a darkened figure peering around the corner at them, wearing a dark cloak.
The moment Yasia met the darkness of their hood the person turned and ran away from them.
"Mirela someone just ran that way. Come on,"
Yasia ran past Mirela as her book dissipated into the air, as she pursued the figure that had been watching them.
Another figure leaned against the wall of an alleyway nearby glancing towards the opening as Yasia ran off.
"I'll have to get Yasia way from her,"
The figure turned and walked into the darkness of the alley.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The tavern owner looked up at Velara as she swept up the mess Xalvodin made when he broke in.
Just as she finished sweeping up the last of the glass and broken wood, the door went flying across the room, slamming into the mugs resting on a shelf next to the tavern owner.
He paid the door no mind and continued cleaning his glass as Velara turned towards the now open doorway.
"Hello freak,"
Xalvodin walked into their home a grin on his face as he tapped his staff on the ground upon entering.
"Pleasure to see you again,"
"Xalvodin correct? Have you come to cause trouble?"
"I just brought my little sister to visit."
Velara started to speak when a large golden bird burst through the wall and slammed into her sending her into the counter.
The bird landed on the ground and extended it's wings knocking over the tables and lights in the tavern from it's massive wingspan.
The tavern owner looked up from his glass as a young girl walked in, a small black book hovering near her hand.
"Go ahead and call it back Razanili, we seem to be making a mess,"
Xalvodin looked over at Razanili as she whistled causing the bird to shrink into a small orange orb and return to her.
The orb hovered next to her head and she offered a small bow to the tavern owner and Velara.
Xalvodin's staff let off a yellow glow as he pointed it at the tavern owner.
"You have quite the reputation old man. Most of us in the underworld know of the tavern owner that visits Reaper. Now I'm sure you have more secrets hidden here somewhere other than that book. Save me the time of tearing this place apart and just tell me where they're at."
The tavern owner wiped the outside of the glasses before sighing.
"Since when did servants become so ill mannered," the tavern owner said setting his glass down. "Velara teach these young demons some manners. Show them a quarter of a real servants strength."
Velara stood up and brushed off her dress before she let her arms hang at her sides.
"If that is your wish master,"
Xalvodin gripped his staff and held it in front of him as Razanili took hold of her book.
"Let's begin."

(Profiles Updated!)

Judgment began to fall backwards, her gaze holding on the field before her.
Black mist formed beneath her, catching her, forming into a black throne beneath her.
With the snap of her finger, the throne began to hover, lifting her into the air, her fist coming to rest against the soft white skin of her face.
Below the diminished rampaged through the black mist, materializing to attack the demons scattered through the mist only to dematerialize back into the mist.
The demons howled out, frantically attacking around them only to be sliced down by the diminished surrounding them.

"Things will be a tad difficult without my dearest Cataclysm, but no matter...My brother and this world will fall. Even if I must tear the very crust from this pit-"

"That's enough Judgment..."

Judgment's smirk turned to sheer disgust as a familiar voice cut her off.
Her throne quickly turned to face the portal she had exited just moments ago.
She quickly stood, the mist dissipating and forming under her feet, her arm flying outward as she pointed at the gate.

"Forget my brother's dogs! Kill that man the moment he steps forth from hell!"

The mist seemed to fly at the gate as the diminished materialized, their red eyes filling the black cloud that was now barreling at the gate.
The black flames began to dance wildly as footsteps echoed from the gate, Judgment's army quickly closing in.
Silence fell over the field as Judgment's anger boiled over, her anticipation for what was about to step through the gate filling the air around her.

An explosion of light shot through the gate as a shadowy figure walked through the gate, the lustrous aura climbing into the sky as he entered the world of the living. The mist slammed into the tower sending it flying off into several directions, the diminished that made it up all materializing, slamming into the ground.
The figure removed his hand from his pocket, his fingers snapping, the sound resounding through the field as the tower dispersed, calming the field once again.

As the light faded, the figure came to light.
There stood a young man, his age looking to be that of a teenager.
His white hair danced over his pale face, red tinted eyes peering through it.
His clothing was tattered and burned as Judgment's was, his ripped sleeve revealing a black tattoo that run up the length of his arm, it's archaic symbols matching those as the one's on the black glove that adorned his right hand.

The man flexed his hand, stretching the old, tired muscles through his body as he stepped forward, his head slowly rising to meet Judgment floating high above the field.

"Kill him! Rip him apart!"

The diminished scattered through the field slowly rose, the sounds of popping sounding out as they fixed their broken bodies. The young man exhaled, a small white cloud leaving his lungs as they filled with the fresh air he had long forgotten.
The diminished quickly launched themselves at the man, their sharp talons bared as they closed the distance.

A diminished slashed at the man, his claws ripping through the form, the man's body popping into tiny orbs of light that illuminated the diminished's confused face.
A ringing snap filled the air as the orbs exploded, sending the crowd of diminished flying, The white haired man quickly meeting them as they shot over the ground.
From his back two wings of light exploded into creation, his eyes filling with the same light.
quickly flexing his hand, a small ball of light formed from his palm; it's pulsating form illuminating his stoic face as he stared down into the crowd flying towards him.
The man launched the orb into the crowd, his left hand quickly grabbing his right wrist as it flew open, his fingers spread, each lined with light.

"Light Cage"

The orb exploded open, rapidly sucking in each diminished before slamming closed.
A massive orb now hovered over the field, filled with Judgment's pawns.
The man closed his right hand into a fist causing the orb to shrink rapidly before exploding, decimating the diminished within.

Judgement slammed into the ground, a massive black cross landing behind her.
She held her tiny hand out opening a small black void in the ground beneath it, a black cross shaped sword flying up from it into her hand.

"How many times must I kill you before you stay down!"

"What happened to that arrogant nobility Judgement? It's very unlike you."

Judgement rose her blade, the tip aimed at the man as he touched down, his hand flexing forming a blade of light in his palm.

"I will end this now, no longer will I tolerate your meddling you ungrateful dog. I will kill you here and now Jazz."

A small smirk came across the man's face as he rose his blade, his head cocking to the side.

"Go to hell"

Mirela had felt a wave of relief wash over her body as she found herself saved from what she assumed would be a rather painful death. However, before she was able to stop to take a breath, she heard Yasia call out to her, asking her to follow along in the pursuit of someone. She didn't exactly want to follow along, and sure enough, hesitation arose. Her eyes softened a bit as she brought her gaze to the direction she had wanted to go in, but after a few moments a small sigh escaped her lips. Mirela's attention and gaze was brought back to the direction that Yasia had ran off in. Taking a deep breath, she hurried off after Yasia, hoping that whatever they were pursuing wasn't anything that would try to kill them in the future. However, Mirela was perfectly aware of the fact her luck was flat-out terrible in situations like this.

"Yasia," She began, calling out after her companion. "I thought we were going to try and find my family! Why are we chasing someone?!"

It didn't make much sense to Mirela. Yasia wanted answers, and Mirela was more than happy to supply them. She just wanted to be reunited with her family first.

“Yasia…! Hey, Yasia!!”

Mirela’s pace quickened a bit, and she soon found herself just a small distance behind her. This was a little surprising, considering how much fatigue Mirela had been feeling.

“Well…it won’t take long…will it?”

--------------------

Inae watched on as Nala continued to decimate most of the demons around her. The small woman was left to wonder if sending Strength out was really necessary or not. Normally, she wouldn’t care, but since she wanted to make sure she didn’t push herself too far, especially when she wanted to make sure not to use her own energy recklessly.

However, despite her common sense, Inae decided to leave Strength active for as long as she could. The reason for this was something not known to her mind.
She wasn’t sure as to what it could be, but the thought wouldn’t leave her alone.

Inae’s attention finally settled on the demons that had been approaching herself and Miu, she found herself being pulled back to her senses. She was pretty sure that as long as they were behind Miu's barrier they would be fine, but the sight of the still-trembling child brought doubts within the fortune-teller's mind.

"Miu, I know this is getting hard. But I need you to stay focused. How long do you think you can keep this barrier up?"

"I... I dunno... A-Auntie Inae..."

Miu's lip quivered slightly, showing that the child was obviously a bit terrified of the sights she had been witnessing compared to the small woman standing beside her, who seemed a bit too calm and apathetic towards the situation as a whole.

"A-Auntie Inae... Why are you so c-calm...?"

Hearing this question, Inae's eyes widened slightly, but however they returned to normal just a few moments later. She wasn't entirely happy with the question that had been asked, but instead of dodging it, she simply pulled a card from her pouch in an attempt to prepare for trouble, and answered Miu calmly.

"Mirela and I encountered these... things... in the past. You could say that unfortunately, we've gotten used to it. That's all I'll say for now."

"But.. but.. Auntie Inae!"

"No buts. Miu, stay focused."

Inae focused her attention on the decimation going on before her, and a small sigh escaped the woman's lips.

'End this quickly...'

--------------------

Strength momentarily watched as Nala advanced forward, but soon brought her gaze back over her shoulder to meet her Mistress's gaze. The look in Inae's eyes alone was enough to reassure Strength of her current objective.

The warrior glanced upon her surroundings as she made an attempt to mentally keep track of the situation. Closing her eyes for a moment, she assessed the situation before brandishing her rapier and pointing the tip towards the sky, opening her eyes and aligning the blade between her crystal blue hues.

"The damned are no match for my blade. May all who seek to oppose the noble cause I fight for fall by my hand."

Brandishing her rapier once more, Strength locked eyes with the approaching demons before quickly advancing toward them, ready to strike.

"Perish!"

The snowball let off a red glow before Mazis lowered her arms, hurling the ball of hellfire snow towards the four.
The snow slowly descended, destroying the buildings and tearing up the street as it drew closer, an intense heat filling the area.
The ground started to shake as the snow drew closer to Nala who stared up at it gripping the large sword in her hand.
Nala took a step forward and raised the sword in a diagonal motion in movement.
A large crescent of purple energy exploded from the sword and cut the giant attack in two causing it to explode, decimating the buildings ahead of them and blowing up the demons in the area around the buildings.
Nala glanced back at strength which the crawlers had reached at this point, one of them screeched at her as it jumped into the air and fell towards her trying to pin her to the ground.
"You!"
Nala quickly turned her attention forward and raised her sword as Mazis' scythe collided with her sword, the blade inches from Nala's neck.
"You little freak! I'll kill you and all your-"
"That's quite enough Mazis."
Mazis was interrupted as an average sized woman fell next to her, clad in a long red cloak with black lines on the shoulders.
Her face were hidden but the cloak hugged her body revealing her curves as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Alina...why are you here?"
Mazis backed away from Nala before Alina extended her hand towards the crawlers.
She snapped her fingers which caused an invisible forced to rip all the crawlers apart, except for the one crawler that had leaped at strength knowing she could kill it on her own.
"We were ordered to observe them, not interact. If you keep this up you will share the fate of Arvis Mazis."
Mazis grit her teeth and looked towards the others.
"Retreat Mazis...you've already complicated matters,"
Mazis glared at the four before turning and vanishing in darkness, the remnant snowflakes in the air vanishing with her.
Nala's corruption faded from the area as the main threat vanished, however she kept her sword out as the one named Alina stared at Miu.
"A child with powers, not rare...but she's survived this far..."
Alina turned her back on everyone, she made sure to show she had no intention of attacking them.
"Inae....protect Miu...she interests me a little."
Alina glanced back at Nala before her hand closed into her fist.
"You child...have the scent of arch-demon about you...who are you?"
"I have no desire to speak with lowly creatures like yourself." Nala said resting the sword on her shoulder.
Alina chuckled and vanished in a burst of wind causing Nala's hood to blow off from the gust.
Nala's sword vanished and her energy faded as she dismissed her power.
No sign of her power excluding the giant crater and corpses around remained as she hid it once again.
"Disappointing...I had hoped they were dead,"
Nala said before putting her hand under her chin lowering her hand to think
"Still...why did he want me to use my power....
What was Reaper trying to do by requesting such a thing from her, the thought bothered her as she didn't like the thought of speaking to him again.
Next time it might be redirected at someone else.
She glanced back at the three behind her before letting out a small sigh.
"Are you ready yet? Walk ahead so I know where the demons are."

Luck's Flashback

Hari leaned against a small grey bricked building glancing towards the brown door as she heard rustling on the other end of it.
A day had passed and as agreed Luck had to do whatever Hari asked for the day.
Her first request had been a strange one but Luck agreed to it nonetheless.
It was early morning and before the request Luck had been half asleep, his thoughts keeping him up the previous night.
He tried to replay his attempts the day before, but after awhile it just depressed him so he dismissed the thoughts.
Now he was on the other side of the door torn between walking or staying inside until closing time.
"Luck hurry and come out! I wanna see!" Hari yelled.
"This is humiliating, I have no intention of coming out,"
"You have to we still have stuff to do!"
There was silence between the two before the doorknob turned and the door slowly opened before Luck walked out.
Luck was clad in a green suit jacket and shirt, wearing a green pair of dress pants with a green buckle, he wore a pair of formal black shoes and his combed brown hair was under a green fedora.
His face had been shaved and his pocket watch chain hung loosely out of his right pocket.
Hari seeing Luck clapped her hands a few times laughing a little.
"You look good Luck! That suits you."
"This is just too much green....I only have to wear this today right?"
"Yes only for today."
"Ugh...this is too fancy for my tastes...who would wear this regularly?"
Luck stopped looking at his new clothing and looked up at Hari.
"Did you ask me to wear green because I'm the deity of luck?"
"No I really think it looks good," Hari said containing a chuckle.
"...did you make me a walking four leaf clover?"
Hari shook her head though her mouth was slowly forming into a smile as she fought to contain her laughter.
"I'll make sure to give the next twenty generations of your family bad luck for this,"
"Why twenty?" Hari asked placing her hands on her hips.
Luck opened his mouth to respond but stopped as Hari pulled on his arm.
"Never mind we're going!"
Luck was pulled along by Hari as they walked into the bustling town, Luck complaining until they faded into the distance.

Luck sat on the bench with Hari sitting next to him, the two were eating a piece of fruit as they watched the sunset in front of them.
Luck had followed Hari's wishes as previously agreed, they had walked around town together, spoke about their pasts and got to know one another.
He didn't say anything but he was tired at the amount of things he had been forced to do today.
Luck stared ahead at the sunset, the last thing Hari had requested of him as the day continued to go through his mind.
".....wait...was today a date?"
"Yep."
A simple nonchalant answer that made Luck freeze up as he stared at his fruit.
"That's all you wanted?"Luck asked looking over at her.
"Pretty much."
"From the very beginning,"
"Correct."
Luck stared at his fruit as Hari continued to eat hers before he squeezed the bridge of his nose.
"You mean I went through bone crushing denial and that embarrassing situation for a date?! Why didn't you just ask me then?"
"I thought it was more fun this way. That and you'd have do whatever I wanted."
Hari looked over at Luck and smiled causing Luck to glare at her, however his glare faded before he started laughing.
Eventually he stopped laughing and wiped a tear from his eye.
"You know mor....Hari....you're alright.
"Thank you, you're still garbage though."
"What?!
"Good garbage though, like a trinket you don't want to get rid of."
Luck remained silent and turned back towards the sunset as the sky started to get dark.
"....let's do this again,"
"You have to wear the suit if we do."
"............fine."

Days soon became months as the two spent time with one another, some that knew him were surprised to see Luck with the same woman over the course of a few days much less months.
Even Luck was surprised to find he enjoyed his time with Hari, each day seemed to bring something new.
Luck remained lost in these thoughts as he stared out the window of a building, his train of thought stopping as a warm feeling enveloped him, he glanced back to see Hari hugging him from behind.
He smiled and reaching over took his Fedora off her head before placing it on his own.
"You didn't sneak off," she said with a smile.
"I decided to stick around for a bit longer,"

The time they shared became precious to Luck, something he found himself looking forward to each passing day.
However, he came to a quick realization one day when Hari became sick.
It was a small cold but it reminded him of Hari's mortality, Hari was a mortal which meant her lifespan wasn't even half of his.
Luck felt his heart sink as he was taken away from his joy at this realization.
He spoke with it about Hari and though she mentioned just enjoying their time together, he knew the thought had crossed her mind from her expression.
She always watched with a small smile as she watched Luck do his duties as a deity, but he always saw a tinge of sadness show for a brief moment.
Luck looked towards the heavens and closed his hand into a fist as he decided to head home, with a new resolve.

"What do you mean we can't do anything!"
Luck stood up from his seat at the deity council, looking around at his brethren as continuum spoke voicing his opinion.
"We can't just go making a human into a deity Luck, that's common knowledge. Giving a random human powers like ours can lead to complications if they use it for the wrong reason.
Continuum crossed his arms as Luck grit his teeth and looked over at Nature who sat quietly a few feet away.
He turned his attention to Death who sat two seat's away from him, dressed in his cloak with his hood up.
He could see the blond hair sticking out of his hood and as always he couldn't tell his expression because of it.
He did see him shake his head and knew he was smiling under his hood as he felt a chill when he looked at Death.
Whenever he felt a chill up his spine and looked at Death he was always smiling at something, thus he could only tell when Death was pleased about something.
"We can't just pick a human like that Luck." Death said rubbing the side of his head.
"Sorry Luck, there's no way past it. If there wasn't an emotional connection to her she could be considered for a candidate for your replacement....but..."
Nature trailed off since it was obvious at what she was going to say.
Luck had an emotional connection to Hari, thus his decision would be based off his emotions and not logic.
Luck looked at his other brothers and sister before backing away from the table.
"Fine," he said closing his eyes. "I understand...sorry for bothering you over such a matter."
Luck turned and walked away from the conference and made his way back down to earth via the gate.
"I won't let Hari suffer...I'll handle it by myself,"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yasia came to a stop as the figure vanished from sight causing her to sigh before rubbing the side of her head.
"Who was that?" she questioned looking into the darkness.
Hearing Mirela's question she turned to look at her and respond to her question.
However before she could speak her body vanished as a gust of wind blew past Mirela.
No sign of Yasia remained, her form vanishing just as fast as the wind had passed by.
Something moved in the shadows at Yasia's disappearance.
"Good day Mirela,"
The figure that had run away walked out of the shadows and stopped in front of Mirela.
The figure reached up and removed their hood, causing their white hair to show.
She was a small person roughly the size of a child causing her to stare up at Mirela her red eyes letting off a soft glow.
She barely came up to Mirela's belly button and her smile caused her fangs to show before she spoke again.
"It's been awhile hasn't it? You haven't forgotten me have you? I believe I went by Pet back then."
The little demon smile faded before she crossed her arms and let out a small sigh.
"Well actually...that hasn't changed....I'm disappointed in that."
Pet waved her hand at the idea and looked back up at Mirela, reaching forward she gripped her hand before placing her hand over it.
"I came to warn you that your life is in danger...well more danger. Xalvodin is looking for you, he's a servant intent on finding the hero's that fought against judgement. I'd like to stay near you until I pick up his scent, I'm sure they'll come right for you.
Pet took a step back releasing Mirela's hand and bowed to her.
"I'm in your care Mirela, oh and my master Kina sends her greetings to you. Liriana....well she still hates you so there's nothing from her...sorry."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A drop of red fell into a puddle of blood as a demon's corpse hung a few feet of the ground.
Hundreds of demons were scattered throughout the vacant village, either in pieces or impaled against something.
A crawler was kept against a building by the bladed arm of a dead rebirth who lay a few feet away, it's face contorted in fear.
A little brother rebirth head rested in the chest of rifter who was slumped against another building.
The soft rattle of a chain could be heard as a feeder hung by it's neck above the rifter.
Black chains ran throughout the city, through the buildings and up through the streets creating a web of metal. Demons were impaled through the center of the chains creating a graveyard of red and black.
The stench of blood hung in the air, the gentle breeze causing a chain to rattle as a sister crawler still in it's child form hung by it's foot, half it's torso missing.
"M-mistress," A small young boy who floated near a hooded figure tentatively called out to his master.
He wore what seemed to be a jacket, the sleeve too long for his little arms causing his hands to be hidden.
He had short blond hair that was covered by a hat, his light green eyes rested on his mistress.
The cloaked figure wore a black cloak that covered their entire body, minus the tips of their slender finger and the black boots they wore.
A scythe with a long black handle with a long dark blade rested in the left hand of figure, a small stream of red running down the handle from the blade.
The scythe seemed to crackle with darkness as bits of dark energy fell off it, and sparked occasionally.
Crimson dripped off the blade and fell into one of the many red puddles.
"What Yusa?"
The voice was cold and emotionless, but the little boy named Yusa could sense the anger coming from his master and backed away from her.
"Liria,"
The cloaked figure looked back at the person who had addressed her.
A woman stood a few feet behind her, dressed in a white cloak her amber eyes staring at Liriana through the darkness of the hood.
She also wore a cloak that hid her appearance, though her small hands were exposed revealing the purple butterfly that rested on the back of her hand.
"I know Kina....killing Yusa won't solve anything."
Yusa hid behind Kina at Liriana's words, since she was still holding the scythe as she said this.
"These demons are Reaper's work....which means Saken is in danger. Knowing that I can't help but feel angry."
Yusa peered over Kina's shoulder.
"B-because you're concerned about Saken,"
"No I'm not letting Reaper take my kill. I want the satisfaction of watching him realize his own demise...slowly. "
With that Liriana continued walking dragging her scythe along the ground causing sparks to fly off.
"I'll empty his insides myself and leave his shell behind for the demons to feast on,"
"Let's go Yusa, we best not fall behind,"
With that said Kina walked after Liriana, Yusa clutching her cloak as the two walked after Liriana.

Judgment launched herself forward, her blade resting eye level to her face, the yellow aura in her eye reflecting from the metal.
She quickly closed the gap between her and Jazz, her anger reaching it's peak.

"Die you b*****d!"

Judgment switched her grip on the hilt of her blade moments before bringing the blade down, back handing the blade.
The cold metal ripped through Jazz as his form dissipated, a blast of air shooting up into Judgment's face.

"Again!?"

Judgment quickly turned, slashing her blade in a full arc around behind her only to have the blade stopped by Jazz'. His blade sweeped her sword down to the side as he stepped in, his glowing right fist slamming into her face.
The deity flew back as the light in Jazz' fist exploded from him on impact, her blade flying from her hand.
Jazz dashed in, his blade dissipating back into his body as he launched a spear from his other hand, it's shimmering form piercing through Judgment's abdomen.

The deity hit the ground, her body bouncing from the momentum from each blast. She struggled to her feet only to be met by Jazz' fist once more, launching her up into the air, a small orb following behind her.
Jazz snapped his fingers causing the orb to materialize into a copy of himself, it's body composed solely of light. The copy slammed it's heel down into the ascending Judgment, sending her rocketing back at the ground where Jazz was now aiming up at her, his finger sparking with light as he built up his power into the tip of his finger.

"Let's get this over with Judgment"

Jazz' wings began to glow brightly before they flashed, breaking up into tiny orbs that surrounded him, illuminating the ground around him. Judgment regained a bit of strength, commanding her cross to attack, it's black figure firing off a massive purple beam that tore the ground asunder. Jazz vanished from the line of fire, reappearing with his orbs of light above Judgment as she still fell.

He grit his teeth as he unleashed the stored light in the tip of his finger, rerouting it to his palm, a massive ball of light forming in it.

"You should've just stayed down Judgment."

The orbs around him began absorbing light from his body, growing before they began to pulsate.

"The quiet roar that serves their power, Envoy's Cry"

The orbs fired down slamming into Judgment just before Jazz' attack connected with her chest. The two slammed into the earth before a massive pillar of light ripped the ground around them to shreds, lighting the old capital as if it were day.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deep in the Daryan Mountains, Hikari, Sora, and Saken made their way to the fortress said to be hidden away.
The mountain road was tucked away between the cliffs, walls on each side of the path.
Hikari stopped as a shiver shot down her spine, her body beginning to left off a soft glow.

"What's wrong with you?"

Sora stopped, her hat lifting from her head as she stared at the glowing girl.

"I just....felt something...familiar."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the pillar faded, Jazz stood alone in a crater, four wings stretched from his back.
He gave a small smirk as he began to hover, his hand glowing slightly.

"Well...that's a murderous feeling I haven't felt in a long while, I'll have to steer clear of her until I figure out what that sadistic deity is up to."

Jazz gave the field a last look over then shot off towards the source of the demons, the deity of death.

Mirela stopped in her tracks as she felt the gust of wind blow past her, only to raise her hand to her face in case of the possibility of some sort of debris being carried along with it. However when Yasia stopped as well, Mirela let out a small sigh, and was finally able to catch her breath, if only for a moment. It was a small rest, but a rest that she was thankful to have. Especially since she knew how rare a moment of rest could be during a time of war.

"I don't know," She began, finally bringing her hand down from her face, but not before running her fingers through her bangs. "I didn't even see an-..."

She had then realized that she wasn't able to sense Yasia's presence beside her anymore.

"Yasia...? Where did you g-..."

Her sentence was cut short as the sound of a familiar voice reached her ears. Mirela brought her attention downward toward the ground, only to have her eyes rest upon the tiny person before her. As her hand was gripped, Mirela felt a warm smile find its way to her lips.

However, before Mirela could even say anything, let alone greet the person in front of her, she was told of Xalvodin and what his plan was. This caused Mirela to frown quite a bit, and a sigh escaped her lips. Her disappointment was further fueled by hearing that she was still hated. Of course, it wasn't very surprising, but it still disappointed her.

"Well, Pet." Mirela leaned down a bit to be more on her level. "I'm really glad to see you. As far as Xalvodin, or whatever his name is goes.." She paused for a moment. "If he's looking for everyone, and he's going to be coming for me... I'll stay with you until he comes. I don't like being bait but if it means keeping my family out of danger, I'll gladly do it."

As Mirela rose to a stand, straightening her posture, a look of determination came onto her face.

"Where should we wait?"

--------------------

Paying no mind to the events that had just happened, Strength's eyes locked on to the Crawler that had lunged at her and in one swift movement, raised her rapier and thrust it forward, only to run it through just as it came a few inches away from her face.

With an icy stare in her eyes, Strength's eyes met the Crawler's before turning her head slightly, only to allow a slight scoff pass her lips as she raised her arm and threw it back, flinging the Crawler off of her rapier.

Only after she was sure of its demise, Strength wiped her rapier clean before turning her attention back to Inae, Nala, and Miu. Even if she had not personally witnessed the events that had gone on, it did not mean that she hadn't been aware of them.

Inae, however, narrowed her eyes slightly at Alina's words. Even though she was relieved that they could finally continue on, she refused to show it. It was only after she disappeared that Inae put away her card and folded her arms.

"Miu."

"Y-Yes...?"

With a small sigh, Inae reached forward and snatched the feather out of Miu's hands, which caused the crackling barrier around the two to fizzle and dissipate into nothing. Before Miu could say anything, Inae handed the feather back and began walking toward Strength, motioning for Miu to follow behind her.

"Strength, your initial priority has been restored, but keep an eye on those two. We're leaving."

Listening to Inae's command, Strength gave a very slight nod. After making sure that Miu had caught up with Inae, Strength followed after the three, and eventually they had stood beside Nala. Strength continued to stand beside Miu and Nala as she watched Inae continue forward, only to glance at the two after she got a certain distance away.

"You two, please go ahead. I'll follow behind you so I'll be able to follow Milady's order and look after you."

Miu gave a silent nod. She had been a bit confused about what had gone on, but surprisingly managed to keep most of her thoughts quiet. Some of those thoughts included where her 'Momma' was, why 'Sissy' could do all of those things and who the nice lady that was apparently interested in her was.

As she put the worn down feather back into her feather bag, Miu glanced over at Nala, only to start walking off after Inae. "Come on, Sissy~! Auntie Inae will leave us if we don't hurry!"

Saken came to a stop as he felt a chill run up his spine causing him to look behind him.
He made sure not to stop for too long not wanting to fall behind since he wasn't sure if the demons were still around.
However a feeling had suddenly enveloped his entire being as he felt a presence that had lingered in the back of his mind.
He didn't realize what it was until Liriana's face flashed in his mind.
It was fear.
He shook his head and forced the emotion down making sure to keep up with Sora and Hikari.
If what he feared was true he had no intention of staying in one spot for too long, not that it would matter.
He was a traitor and Liriana had told him in the past, 'traitors only get one ending.'
The details she had so descriptively provided wasn't something a six year old boy should ever hear.

Nala stared ahead at Inae as she walked ahead, her mind still drifting back and forth at the words of Alina and Reaper.
Nala turned her head as she felt something spark near her, her eyes narrowing in the direction it had come from.
Someone was coming towards them, and another was following behind them.
Nala flexed her hand contemplating whether or not she should say anything to the others.
Hearing Miu call out to her she turned and followed after making her decision deciding to ignore the sissy.
She would have preferred having them catch them off guard and Miu 'accidentally' getting caught in the crossfire.
However that would also mean it would take even longer to move from there spot and she could feel Reaper's eyes on her.
"Inae I suppose I may as well tell you at this point. Kalan is that way," Nala said walking towards her and pointing to the northeast.
"Also someone is coming and they have a friend, I'd give them two minutes before they make it here."
Nala came to a stop and looked back at Inae.
"Since you're the grown up you decide what to do,"
Nala turned back around and face forward again, coming to a stop.

Luck's Flashback

Luck held his pocket-watch out as a green glow surrounding it before he looked up at Hari.
He had called her out at night and the two had walked to an abandoned house outside of town after he explained what he was going to do.
Even know as he summoned energy from his body he showed no hesitation in his movements as Hari watched on a few feet away.
"Luck....are you sure about this?"
Luck looked up at Hari but didn't stop casting as he responded to her.
"Creating a deity isn't as hard as it sounds. I've seen the ritual done before. I should be able to branch you off me as lesser deity...maybe name you Fortune. That way there's no problem."
Hari smiled a little before nodding her head relaxing a little.
"Okay...I trust you Luck but don't strain yourself."
Luck nodded and lowered his head back to his pocket-watch before the green energy left his watch and surrounded Hari.
The energy lifted her a few feet off the ground before a green glow surrounded her letting off a small glow.
Hari looked at her hands as a green aura surrounded her as Luck smiled.
Hari started laughing a little before looking at Luck who grinned at her as he continued pouring his energy into her.
However, his pocket-watch sparked before the green glow was enveloped in a black light that consumed the green light entirely.
"What the- Luck said looking back at his watch.
Luck tried to stop the black light but his pocket-watch wasn't responding to him, panic started to surface as the black light got brighter.
"Luck! It hurts turn it off!"
"I'm trying it's not responding!"
Luck put his hand over the top of the pocket-watch and finally forced it shut causing the black light to vanish.
Hari fell to the ground the black light faded as Luck ran over to her.
He shook her and called out to her until he she started mumbling and slowly opened her eyes.
He let out a relieved sigh and started to hug her, however the moment Hari laid eyes on him she quickly backed away from him, pushing him back.
"Stay back! Don't come near me!"
Luck started to walk towards her but stopped as he saw her pull out the dagger she kept on her and point it at him with both hands shaking.
"It'd be better if you didn't go near her,"
Luck turned as he heard a familiar voice before Nature walked into the light, her hands folded in front of her.
She averted her eyes for a moment, a sad expression on her face before she continued.
"I'm sorry Luck, I was asked to watch you after you ran out like that. We were worried you'd do something desperate...and I had to stop you."
Luck slowly stood up as Nature drew closer before her attention turned to Hari who had curled up in the corner.
Luck looked over at Hari, her eyes widened and blank as she stared at the floor lightly shivering.
"What...did I do to her?"
".....I'm sure you know this already but the knowledge we carry is not light. We know how to alter the very fabric of reality pertaining to who we are. You're involved with every living thing Luck that's a heavy burden for one who's not ready to take it on. If a deity isn't properly made this kind of thing can happen."
Luck looked over at Hari once more who seemed to be mumbling in a strange language to herself.
"What will happen to her Nature?"
Hearing Luck's question Nature rubbed her arm and looked over at Hari
"There's only two ways this kind of things resolves....we kill them...or they end up taking their own lives,"
Luck flinched as Nature answered his question, his hand closing into a fist around his pocket-watch as he watched Hari rock back and forth in silence.
"However I anticipated this...so I set up a deal. It comes with a sacrifice but she'll live...are you okay with that?"
"If Hari get's to live I'll do anything. What do you need to do?"
"Head back to the heavens first. It'll take awhile and you still need to be punished."

Luck and Nature sat on the edge of a table as a red glow resonated on the far end of the room.
Hari was hovering in the air with Death standing at her side, his hands covered in a red glow.
Luck was surprised to see Death was willing to help him out, though when he asked why he only got a smile from him.
"Are you alright Luck? They didn't do anything too bad did they?"
Luck shook his head and held his pocket-watch up by its string.
"They just made my power random, I can't control when it's good or bad anymore. It makes my job harder but I got off easy. Are you alright?"
"Oh yes I'm quite fine. I didn't have to give much for this,"
Luck and Nature turned back towards Death before Luck spoke again.
"So erasing her entire memory of the past couple months will fix everything?"
"Yes....though I'm sorry you have to be erased as well Luck but we can't risk it."
Luck shook his head and put his pocket-watch back in his pocket.
"Karma said something to me some time ago. 'Human's always have tomorrow, but deity's only have today.' Which at the time confused me but I understood what she meant later on. No matter what a human faces in a day, tomorrow can always be a different, new experiences, new people. We however are doomed to repetition, every day the same thing, same duties, same people, we don't get a tomorrow,"
Luck looked back at Hari as Reaper put his hand over her head and started erasing her memories.
"Knowing that....I know she'll be fine without me,"
"What about you?
"....I'll be fine."
Death finished and gently lowered Hari to the ground before turning to them.
"Everything's gone, she'll wake up in a few minutes so we should leave. Seeing you might trigger something."
"Thanks Death....I owe you one,"
Luck watched as Death lifted his head slightly letting Luck see the toothy grin form on his hidden face.
"Indeed you do little brother...Indeed you do,"
With those words Reaper vanished in a burst of hellfire causing Luck to rub the back of his neck.
"Nature....is it alright if I say goodbye?"
Nature nodded and Luck thanked her before he walked over to Hari, lifting her with his arm he allowed a sphere of green energy to hover in the palm of his hand.
The energy let off a bright glow before it formed into an oval pendant with a bright green gem in the center of it.
Luck put the pendant on Hari and held her with both his arms before speaking, making sure to speak softly to avoid waking her.
"My selfishness causes this...so consider this an apology....thank you...for giving me a tomorrow Hari."
Luck kissed Hari on her forehead before laying her down, standing up afterwards..
He stared at Hari before speaking keeping his back to Nature.
"Nature...how were you able to do all of this? I'm sorry to ask...but you were able to save Hari pretty quickly."
A gentle yet sad smile formed on Nature's lips before she turned her back to Luck.
"You aren't the only one that's fallen in love brother,"
Luck's eyes widened but before he could speak Nature vanished from sight.
He stared where Nature once stood before looking back at Hari once more.
"Goodbye,"
A green glow surrounded Luck before his body dissipated and faded into nothingness.
Hari's eyes widened before she quickly sat up, after looking around at her surroundings she stood up and brushed off her bottom.
"...where am I?"
She looked down at the pendant and lifted it up for a moment tilting her head slightly.

Luck Flashback End

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Luck's eyes remained fixed on the pendant around Naki as his memories faded away.
"Excuse me...sir...are you alright?"
Luck shook his head and looked back up at Naki before smiling offering a nod to show he was alright.
"Sorry your pendant caught my attention, I couldn't look away,"
Naki looked down at her pendant before smiling a little resting her hand on it.
"This has been passed down in my family for generations, its said to bring good luck to whoever wears it. My great great grandmother gave it to her daughter and so on until it reached me."
Luck chuckled to himself and nodded as Naki continued explaining the Pendant's origin.
"I'm glad you found happiness..." he mumbled.
"Did you say something?" Naki said stopping her story.
"Hm...ah no I didn't say anything. You should go hide though, today a little hectic but make sure you look forward to tomorrow."
"I hope everything returns to normal by then...but I'll look forward to it."
Luck nodded and turned away from her to see Kalan fighting demons nearby.
"Um...I never got your name,"
Hearing Naki's voice from behind him Luck glanced back at her, before he reached up and adjusted his fedora as he responded with a smile.
"Its more romantic if I don't reveal my name.
Luck walked away from Naki before looking back at his pocket-watch as he tried to track the light again.
"Oi Kalan! Stop playing around and hurry up or I'm leaving you behind. Actually I'll do that anyway,"
"Who do you think has been fighting the demons while you were flirting! Show some appreciation!"
"Alright then. Thanks mortal for doing something I can do with a snap of my fingers. I'm so impressed by your valor and conviction, allow me to pat you on the back for your useless efforts. Now don't come near me you're bloody."
"Come closer and say that!"
Naki watched as the two faded into the distant gripping the pendant as her eyes rested on Luck.
"...why does it hurt...to watch him walk away."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pet blinked grateful that she was trying to be courteous by moving to her level, but she was also slightly insulted at the action.
She kept this too herself however knowing Mirela didn't do it with ill intentions.
At the mention of where to wait Pet looked around not necessarily having an answer.
The demons would be able to smell them wherever they went, still she tried to consider the safest location.
She didn't have long to consider their options as she heard something being scrapped nearby.
She looked in the direction of the noise, only to have it grow closer with each passing second.
"Ohhhh I recognize that scent...hahahahaha."
Pet's eyes narrowed as her book appeared in her hand, the pages flipping open as her eyes let off a red glow.
Though the voice spoke in a childish manner, it came from a young woman who was slowly approaching the two.
High pitched giggles could be heard in the distance, and they grew louder as the figure's form started coming into view.
"Mirela get ready," Pet said spreading her feet and preparing for a fight.
"It is! It is you! I knew I'd see you, big brother said so!"
A young girl came into view, she was covered in black armor except for her stomach which was exposed.
Her fair milky skin was covered in blood, both human and demon.
Her long messy blond hair moved back and forth with her body as she smiled at the two.
Two black horns were on her head and she had long pointy ears that went off to the side.
Her eyes were red and fixated on the two, as her hand which was also covered in black armor held a giant sword with an eyeball below the hilt.
"Big sister! Did you miss me? I missed you soooo much! Mommy misses you too she just cried tears when I told her you were gone."
Pet's eyes narrowed at the girl who rocked her head back and forth, ecstatic to see her sister.
"Xalvodin translated my name for me! It's Arvania! Isn't it pretty sister, much much better than Pet heehee!"
Arvania looked over at Mirela before waving to her with a free hand.
"You must be Mirela, Xalvodin said to find you and harvest your heart for the ritual! Oh speaking of that sister! Xalvodin said he's willing to forgive you for sealing us away seven years ago if you'll help us. The whole family wants you back."
"I decline Arvania, knowing Xalvodin his work will harm humans."
Arvania remained silent for a moment hearing Pet's response, her smile fading.
She put her finger under her chin before a toothy grin appeared revealing her fangs.
She tilted her head to the side as she gripped her sword.
"Xalvodin said you would say no. How could be so cruel sister. I'll be really said if I have to kill you. Oh I know! I'll bring your head back with me and keep it so we can always talk! That way we can be together! I'll put it rigghhht next to-"
Arvania cut herself off as a dark aura started surrounding her, a black sphere of light floating behind her.
A crazed look came into her eyes as her pupils shrunk, her body twitching.
"Kalan's."
She clapped her hands together before gripping her hilt with both hands as she returned to her somewhat normal appearance.
"You too Mirela! I'm allowed to kill you, such pretty hair I want it!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yasia was thrown against a building before coughing as Alina came into view.
"What was that for?" she asked straightening herself.
Alina remained silent as she stared at Yasia, not pleased she was the one forced to retrieve her.
She had come to rest in the darkness of an alley, figuring it the best location.
Alina held out a piece of paper to Yasia, who took it in silence before reading over it.
Alina turned her back to her as she finished reading the paper, before crushing it with her hand, the red glow around her hand destroying the message.
"Yasia you do understand our goal correct? We are to kill Tsuliria not make friends with her acquaintances."
Yasia stared at Alina who glanced back at her, most likely reveling in talking down to her.
"You're free to pursue your own way of finding her, but know you walk a path that may get you killed."
With that Alina vanished in a burst of wind, Yasia turning and leaving the alley.
