Kurai motioned another clone forward with a smile upon her face. The Doton clone that stepped forward used two earth swords. Ooooohhhhhh… definitely evolving.

She began to combat the clone with her staff. Kurai and her clone were honestly going head to head. Neither side was giving way in all honesty.

The clone destroyed her staff making Kurai chuckle. She began to combat her clone with her bare hands and was still doing well. She wasn’t even worried in the slightest bit.

If she were to get wounded by her clone then so be it. She would learn her lesson to never underestimate her clone ever again. However until that time she would always underestimate it.

She quickly used a set of hand signs utilizing the next jutsu. As she was standing on top of sand her body sank underground. The weird part was she was still able to breath underground.

Then again all other jutsu that she had used she was able to breath underground. Wasn’t she… She couldn’t quite remember but this jutsu was honestly fun.

She was moving underground as her clone was above ground. Her clone placed her hand on the ground and used a sensory jutsu that she had learned. She wasn’t able to detect Kurai at all.

That was the interesting part of this jutsu. The fact that she wasn’t able to be detected. This would definitely come in handy.

Without a doubt she would use this in battle… Just like this. Kurai burst from underground behind the clone and struck at it with a roundhouse kick. The kick sent the clone flying into a tree.

She began using hand signs for this next jutsu. She was moving through the jutsu that Kiyoshi had given her at an accelerated rate. Which was truly amazing.

Kurai had then used the jutsu and disappeared with a gust of sand. She appeared right next to Kiyoshi and realized it was yet another Shunshin jutsu. She chuckled slightly as she walked forward back to the training ground.

Kurai concentrated a bit more on her chakra output as well as her hand signs. Focusing more on her chakra output her hand signs began to slow down. This next jutsu was actually quite a unique one.

The preparation for the jutsu was quite easy but it was using the jutsu that was the hard part. Sighing softly an earth clone came towards in as if to attack her. Kurai’s eyes narrowed at the clone daring it to attack.

She continued her hand signs as she was nearing perfecting them. Her chakra output was pretty high in all honesty as well. She cracked her neck as this jutsu was already a pain in the a**.

She eventually raised her chakra output even higher. Her chakra didn’t need to be this high however it made things easier in all honesty. She regulated her breathing for this jutsu as well.

Her chakra continued to raise until she used the jutsu. Her body fell down into a complete small pool of sand. The pool of sand began to move slowly but surely around.

The clone didn’t know what the hell was going on at first as the sand surrounded her. Then the next thing she would know is Kurai reappeared and then struck the clone. The clone dispersed from the blow and then Kurai looked to the rest of them.

Clones swarmed Kurai and this was honestly the most fun she has had in a while. They were plotting against her which was brilliant in her opinion. She smiled underneath her mask as she rushed towards them.

At this point she was concentrating on her chakra while taking her clones on. They were rather well organized at this point. Whenever one would strike another would as well.

Whenever she would strike one would defend the other. Then the other would strike during the mean time. The fun she was having was honestly immense.

After a bit she began concentrating on her chakra a bit more while attacking. One of the clones lunged toward her and threw a punch at her mask. She didn’t hesitate in the least bit to side step and put it down.

That was the only rule she had in combat. Do not touch the mask. Do not talk about the mask unless she brought it up. Most importantly do not even think about the mask.

She used hand signs and used the next jutsu. A large arm burst forth from the sands and launched itself at the clones. It hit one of the clones head on and into a tree.

Kiyoshi removed her blind fold and instructed her on what to do now. From here on out she was almost done. Almost there she could honestly taste it.

So close yet so far away… The sand upon her body released slightly making it to only half of her weight. Sighing she closed her eyes trying to get her mind somewhere else. To somehow resurrect strength within her body.

Her body was quickly adjusting to the weights as this was nothing compared to her Taijutsu as well as her other kenjutsu. Then again what was? In all honesty she didn’t think any other jutsu would compare with weight training.

She opened her eyes with a new found determination. She was going to make it through this and she would be damned if she didn’t. This portion of her training was shadow boxing.

Even though others would see shadow boxing as being easy. With how tired her body was others would understand. She didn’t have a choice in this matter however.

She started her shadow boxing at a slower pace at first. Simply jabbing at her fake opponent. Then eventually things began to pick up as she combined her Taijutsu into it.

Jabbing at her fake opponent with speed and accuracy of Kiyoshi himself. She may not be Kiyoshi’s rank but the hell she wouldn’t give him a run for his money. She was beginning to remember everything tactically from her past.

She was pushing through the weaknesses of her body. Eventually simply ignoring them and the only thought was on her training. She would become a god once again.

She would inherit the title of Princess of Sunagakure once again! No, She would inherit something better. She would inherit the title Queen of Sunagakure.

She would do everything in her power to protect the ones Ayane cared about. Regardless of how little Kurai knew them she would defend them until her last breath. She owed it to Ayane for giving her a second chance.

Kurai wanted to kick her training up a notch so she was going to cheat a bit. Or rather make it more difficult for her. The more difficult this was going to be for her the better honestly.

She summoned two volcanic earth clones and took a defensive stance. One clone stood back knowing her role was to summon more volcanic earth clones. Where the other was to bust Kurai’s a**.

The clone cracked her neck and rushed forward to the real Kurai. Kurai timed her shot and lunged in punching at the clone’s stomach. The clone jumped over her entirely and came at her from behind.

Kurai made her chakra burst and dodged to the side. An after image appeared and the clone attacked it thinking it was the real Kurai. The clone was fooled as she punched through the air and began looking around dumbly for the real one.

Kurai moved in close ranged combat striking at the clone. The clone got hit twice but it was enhanced with Doton. Making it harder to get rid of.

Kurai had passed through being tired. Her body was on the verge of failing since it wasn’t technically quite alive yet. Which was something that had to change soon or she would lose her mind.

The cloves that covered her hands began to slowly melt with every hit that connected with the volcanic earth clone. The clone was taking it easy on Kurai as she had weights that were slowing her down. However the clone was taking it easy on Kurai, She was having no trouble as the weights seemed like nothing to her.

The clone eventually got extremely frustrated and went all out on Kurai. Kurai couldn’t help but chuckle as the clone had no weight but was still slower. Kurai had a handicap and she was winning this spar.

The clone lunged yet again attempting to strike Kurai. Throughout this entire spar it has underestimated Kurai entirely. Then again the clone could never compare to the real thing.

Kurai used another burst of chakra creating an after image. The clone lunged for the after image and this sealed its fate. Kurai used strength and accuracy of her Taijutsu to hit the clone’s head making it crumble.

Kurai stood up triumphantly for the second stage of her training. Her eye glanced over at the other clone nodding to it. The clone nodded back and created another volcanic earth clone.

Kurai began jumping up and down slightly trying to get whatever fluid that was in her body flowing. The purpose was hopefully to get her heart racing. Unfortunately she couldn’t even feel a heart beat.

As disturbing as it was she felt it better to not explore that and just leave it as it is. Hopefully it would heal in the future giving her a real body in due time. Until then she would have to be content with being a zombie.

The thought of being a zombie cracked her up slightly. Being a demon that couldn’t rest and relied on eating the brains of the living. In all sense she was a zombie except for the brain eating part.

Shaking off the feeling of being undead she began to focus on the sand weights. The weights increased to her body’s weight. She jumped up and down for a bit getting used to it.

The point behind her jumping up and down was always either to get used to weight. Or again to get the fluids in her body flowing. The yet again the zombie thought crossed her mind.

The whole zombie thing was starting to frustrate her as she moved into a slow jog for this portion of the training. She was supposed to run through the woods but there wasn’t much of one at this training area. So she had to improvise like always.

The newly created clone rushed at her throwing her leg high into the air at Kurai. Kurai ducked below and began to pick up the pace. The clone rushed in front again throwing a punch at her. Kurai used a burst of chakra creating an afterimage clone.

The clone hit the after image clone as Kurai side stepped. Kurai was honestly flying through this kenjutsu showing that in a way she was made for it. The clone delivered yet another kick at Kurai.

This kick was a low one catching Kurai slightly off guard. She jumped above the leg and continued running around the training grounds. The clone clapped at Kurai once she made it back to the starting position.

Kurai stood up looking to the clone that was attacking her. She took an offensive stance as the clone charged at her. The point behind this stage was to use everything that she had learned to this point.

She wouldn’t have a problem in the world with this. The weights didn’t bother her at all anymore. Even though it was still less than what her great sword weighs.

As the clone struck at Kurai she used a burst of chakra creating an after image clone. What occurred was the clone attacked the after image by mistake while Kurai sidestepped. Kurai lunged in and her fist connected firmly with the clone’s head.

She intentionally attacked the side of the clone’s head for a reason. She still didn’t want to see what she looked like at this current state. Lord only knew that she probably still looked like a corpse.

The hit that connected with the clone sent her flying in the distance. Kurai was somewhat surprised that her strength was that great. Something she honestly wasn’t expecting.

The clone hit a tree in the distance pretty hard. Then her body hit the ground even harder. The clone laid there for a bit making Kurai think that the clone was done.

The clone surprised Kurai by actually getting up. The clone struggled for a bit but then rushed forward. Kurai used another burst of chakra and side stepped again.

The after image clone attacked the clone. As the fist from the after image connected with the clone it became evident that it was just that… An after image. The clone stood there somewhat confused at this.

The clone had learned that the after image clone couldn’t hurt her. Much less actually make a connection with a physical being or object. The clone began looking around and saw the real Kurai.

The clone lunged for Kurai and then Kurai used another burst of chakra. This time the after image took the hit and Kurai did a semi-circle around the clone. Kurai lunged forward placing a powerful punch upon the clone.

The clone dispersed upon the punch that Kurai delivered. Her hands were burnt up but it didn’t quite matter as they had yet to fully heal. Her skin was in blotches and was quite sickening.

She would have to get new gloves after this and that was definite. The thing about it though was she was caught in thinking about her body. When would it heal… This was catching her off guard.

The clone was about to summon another one until Kurai shook her head. She needed to do this stage alone. This was for the duplication of her blade as well as an after image clone using it.

Kurai walked forward to the katana that was plunged into the ground and grabbed it by the handle. She released it from the ground and began to swing it getting used to the weight of it. It was so light compared to her great sword.

This portion of the stage would come easily as she was used to swinging that great sword of hers around. The fact of it was this weighed nothing compared to it. Meaning she would be quick with this indefinitely.

Swing after swing she began to appreciate katanas. They were decent sized and also quick. In a way they were combining speed and strength. Eventually she decided to try and continue to the next portion of her training.

Duplicating the weapon she wielded. She began to strike and used bursts of chakra with each strike. What occurred was after images of her katana would appear as she was slicing.

It was like there was a continuous stream of katanas striking along with the real one. In all honesty she found it highly entertaining and continued. Not even caring that it was training either.

To her this was too fun. She used a burst of chakra as she struck with her katana. While side stepping it revealed an after image clone that actually struck with her weapon.

Although it would do nothing she didn’t care. It was just too cool in all honesty. She decided to try something else as she struck once more with her katana. Using a burst of chakra and side stepping she performed a semi-circle yet again.

To her surprise each after image clone wielded her katana and all struck in the center of the semi-circle. That would be a serious mind f*** to anyone she faced. Perhaps causing her opponent to panic as well.

At least that was the hope behind it. To catch her opponent off guard so that she may utilize it to her advantage. She’d be a magician of sorts… wouldn’t she?

Drawing the audience’s attention to one place. Where the action was actually was taking place in another. Yes! She decided with this kenjutsu she would indeed be a magician.

Kurai stabbed the katana into the ground as this next stage required complete focus. She began to focus chakra through her entire body. She kept her eyes open as she needed to do this for a while.

The reason why she was doing it with her eyes open was for the fact that she had to learn this. To do it without stopping and closing her eyes for a few seconds. After all she couldn’t do that in mid combat could she?

Well she could… but the fact of it was that she couldn’t summon a clone and do it. That would be highly impractical. On top of the fact that her opponent could get to her like that.

Then she would feel like a complete jackass. End up back where she was in the first place. Six feet under.

As that cold though crept back up on her mind she closed her eyes. She didn’t do it out of necessity but just out of focus. The chakra pouring through her body began to outline her body in a teal color.

It was honestly somewhat special as the teal color was gorgeous in the sun light. The teal chakra formed a circle around her feet and two lines began to spiral around her entire body. Seeming like dancing teal snakes.

Once she was done focusing her eyes shot open and then she used a burst of chakra. Two after image clones appeared at her sides and then two more. They rushed into a pentagon formation and she knew she had this stage down.

Kurai began laughing slightly as she was almost there. She could taste it at this point. Two more stages and she’d officially be a badass.

She sighed at the thought of the training method behind this next one however. The weight would be double her own weight. Making this a truly trying stage of learning.

She cracked her neck and then began to focus before she let the weigh emerge upon her body. She let out a breath that honestly seemed to help her. It was somewhat odd that this single breath helped her.

She nodded signaling the clone to use a sand jutsu upon her. The clone complied with her and added further weight upon her body. Kurai didn’t move an inch as she was purely focusing first.

The key to being able to handle this was all in her mind. Mind over matter in other words. No one knew this better than Kurai in all honesty.

Kurai then began to move around a little and honestly was struggling slightly. She handled this much weight while training with her greats word however her body was giving up on her. Which was honestly somewhat of a surprise.

Her eyes shot open and then she grabbed the katana. She began to swing it and the weight upon her body was slowing her down greatly. She had to get this…

It was then that she was thinking about all of this. She had done a lot of training today… perhaps it would be alright if she took a break for a while…

She mentally kicked the s**t out of herself as she growled loudly. She would be damned if she gave up when she was so close to her goal! In her left hand she grabbed a bit of dirt and made a Doton sword.

She continued striking at the air and with each strike she got faster and faster. Eventually it became nothing to her and it was like moving her finger. It all had become second nature to her and she was smiling under mask.

Kurai stood still after a while and simply began to breath. Her body didn’t require the oxygen but it just felt nice in all honesty. Whatever helped her get through it she allowed herself to do.

The clone dispersed for an unknown reason and Kurai looked over at the volcanic earth clone rubble. It was somewhat strange that it dispersed like that. She didn’t release it did she?

She realized that the volcanic earth clone must of released itself. After all she must of known what this next stage was. It was purely all Kurai by herself.

Relying on a technique from Raiton and reversing it. Which if she didn’t do it right she would become heavier along with hurting herself. Smiling under her mask she was appreciating the challenge of it all.

She dropped both of the katanas and looked over to Kiyoshi. She wondered what was going through his mind at the moment. Whether or not he was proud to have her as a student was mainly going through her mind.

It was somewhat odd that Ayane had the same thing about her personality. She wanted to make people proud of her more than anything. Perhaps Kurai inherited it from Ayane when she was reborn?

If so she couldn’t decide whether or not it was a good thing or a bad thing. After a while she decided it didn’t quite matter. She needed to do what would make herself proud to be herself.

Currently she was damn proud of herself as she was going through all of the training she did like a pro. The sand began to slowly release from her body. She remained absolutely still and slowly concentrated on her chakra.

Once the sand was fully removed from her body she honestly felt light. Her body felt like a feather to her and it felt very strange. The chakra she was focusing in her body was making her even lighter.

She knew the reason for this was her body had hit the limit for her speed. If she were to go any faster she would only do harm to her body. That’s why this stage was made… to reduce the weight of the user by using chakra and making them faster without harming their body.

After she completed her training her body fell to the ground and she began to laugh. Her body had given up on her for the moment. She simply needed to relax for a little bit. “Kiyoshi-sensei… Did I do well?” She asked Kiyoshi curiously.
