 Kurenai crossed her arms and looked at Sasuke disapprovingly. "That's not how you talk to Kakashi, I hope?" she said. The clone disappeared in a puff of smoke.

 Hyojin rolled his eyes before Sasuke did. "Wouldn't surprise me... I'm tempted to kick his a** just to prove that he isn't all he thinks he is," he said dryly. Sasuke rolled his eyes. He just kept his smirk, but didn't answer. His gaze flicked to Liùwěi coveteously as he closed his eyes before reopening them to reveal the one tomoe Sharingan. "If I accept his little 'challenge'... then I'll accept in on one condition, simply two words: 'first blood'. First to draw blood on the other wins, simply put, but unless I'm mistaken, this guy wouldn't know when to take a damned hint," he said idly, flicking a thumb at Sasuke. His ego's bigger than the state of Maine, and only gets bigger as people fawn to him... though it's obvious he don't give a damn, he thought. People like him give humans a bad name... it would not surprise me if, as you humans put it, that 'he would sell his own mother if it profited him', Kraidar muttered in his mind; it was clear the elemental didn't find Sasuke amusing either.

Kurenai looked between the civilian and genin, shaking her head resignedly. "Just so long as you stick to those terms. I don't want to have Kakashi on my butt for getting one of his team sent to the hospital."

Hyojin snickered slightly. "One thing I do, is stick to my word once given... this idiot probably wouldn't know honesty if it bit him in the balls," he said dryly. Kiba snorted out a laugh as Akamaru reverted to his true form, glancing at Hinata.Sasuke snorted derisively. That thing is mine already... then I'll use it to gain power, he thought. Hyojin put one hand in his pocket as he glanced at Liùwěi, who with a softer yelp leaped down before darting to Hinata and sitting down by her feet. A faint smile flashed over his lips. Seems she's smitten with Hinata-san, and to be honest, I see why, he thought. He didn't comment on Kraidar's dark observation, but had the feeling the elemental was correct in its assumption.

Hinata knelt and picked up Liùwĕi, looking back and forth nervously between Sasuke and Jin.

Hyojin shifted his wrist. "Once this hits the ground, it's over," he said casually. He flicked it upward, not looking at the kunai as he did. He saw the Uchiha's eyes flick upward for an instant before the kunai started dropping before it hit the ground with a ting, impaling itself inverted in the ground with the hilt upward. In that instant he saw the Uchiha's eyes widen as he darted forward at high speed. Kiba inhaled sharply when Jin moved, surprised at the kid's speed.Sasuke gasped for an instant, a flicker of surprise flashing over his face, then hurled a handful of shuriken at the kid from a distance of no more than a few feet. He can't possibly dodge that, he thought as the shuriken simply passed through the kid as if he had been nothing more than an illusion as the dust cleared from around his feet. The dust suddenly parted to show Jin skidding on his hip and side along the ground before his foot snapped up, landing with a thud square between the Uchiha's legs. (If you've played Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, it is Quan Chi's 'Rising Star' technique he just used...)Shino coughed slightly, his shoulders twitching for a few seconds as Kiba laughed outright. Sasuke dropped to one knee for just a second, long enough for Jin to shift his legs and kick Sasuke full under the chin. The blow somersaulted the Uchiha backwards onto the back of his head for a second before he fell onto his face. The Uchiha rose shakily for a second before he shook his head, spitting out a mouthful of blood. "This little farce is over," Jin said harshly as he rolled backwards onto his feet. He turned away, walking towards Hinata and Kurenai. The Uchiha growled behind him as he heard slight wisping sounds, not realizing the Uchiha was doing handsigns for his Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu behind him. He heard the inhalation and without looking back, kicked straight back hard. His foot slammed squarely between the Uchiha's eyes as Jin's base foot skidded a couple of feet forward, back towards the Uchiha (Shadow Kick - 1:10). The blow wasn't hard, but it was more than enough to lay the Uchiha out cold as he flew backwards a couple of more feet before slamming with a crunching thud into the bushes.

Kurenai's eyes widened slightly, but she chuckled, nodding approvingly to Jin. "I think he'd make a good addition to Team 8," she whispered to Shino.

Hyojin . Kiba grinned at Jin. "Damn, that took the baka a few pegs down," he said with a laugh.Shino smiled slightly beneath the collar of his jacket. "Indeed... his talent with evasion and strategy is impressive, and it's obvious he shows talent with Taijutsu," he said quietly. He had a feeling the Hokage would think the same as both Kurenai-sensei and himself. Jin rolled his eyes. "Is it just me, or did that kid have a small tree shoved up his a** with that ego of his?" he said dryly. Shino snickered suddenly. "He also seems to have a rather blunt manner with his thoughts," he added quietly. I can definitely get along with him as a friend; it is obvious he doesn't find any of us 'odd', considering he doesn't seem to notice our individual talents as anything strange, he thought.

Kurenai glanced at Shino in surprise. Well, that was a rare occurrence! Shino never laughed. "He reminds me of Naruto," she said. "I'll see what the Hokage says about making Team 8 a five-man team."

Hyojin didn't miss the glance Kurenai shot at the bug user; it seemed to him something about the Aburame had surprised her for a moment. He paused a couple of paces away from the duo, a flicker of caution momentarily forming in his eyes. "Kraidar recognized that technique I used... and it was entirely unintentional, by the way, Shino... I'm still trying to figure out the symbiosis between him and I, but the technique, as he called it, was Reisangan," he said.(Spinning Spirit Ball - it's actually 'Aura Sphere', but the latter fits better.) Shino nodded slightly, his gaze flickering to the creature Hinata had in her arms. I cannot tell if it is a summon or not; my kikaichū say it is like Akamaru, and it is obviously skilled in Katon techniques, though I am curious as to what that jutsu he fired at me was, he thought. He cocked his head when Jin spoke. He shifted his weight as he heard a slight clearing of someone's throat before he noticed the ANBU behind them, near the entrance to the training ground. "Hokage-sama was thinking along those very lines, Kurenai-san, and agrees with your idea; Uchiha Sasuke will be doing half a dozen D ranked missions without pay as punishment for interrupting your training," the ANBU known as Neko said, a slight wry note in her tone. Her violet hair swayed slightly as she cocked her head before flicking something at Jin, who caught it reflexively with one hand. Jin blinked at the headband in his hand. "Huh..." he said softly.

"Uzuki-san," Kurenai nodded in greeting. "Thank you for informing us of this." Then she smiled at Jin. "Welcome to Team 8, Hyojin."

Hyojin shifted his weight, glancing at the headband. ""So this is similar to the military; I had an uncle in military," he said softly. Kiba tilted his head as a grin flashed over his face as he glanced at Hinata and Liùwěi. "Is what you said about that summon true?" he said thoughtfully. Shino cocked an eyebrow, as he'd been curious about that same detail himself. Jin nodded slightly. "Aye. My father sent it as a late anniversary gift, though my mother soon noticed the natural connection between Liùwěi and I when I was four, about a year and a half before Kraidar fused with me... as it is, she's pretty much the only reminder of home I have at the moment. Now... where the heck would I clean up at? I've got mud, dirt, blood, and s**t I don't even want to know about on me; I don't plan on invading your homes, so don't even ask," he said dryly.

"There should be a bathhouse nearby," Kurenai said. "Shino, Kiba, would one of you show Jin the way? It'll give you a chance to get to know your new teammate."

Hyojin looked sheepish after a moment as he slapped himself in the head. "Damn.. should have remembered that I, no pun intended, have nothing but the clothes on my back," he muttered with embarrassment. He didn't realize his face was almost as red as Hinata's got around Naruto, whoever he was. Kiba forced back a snicker. He'd better hope Ino never meets him... she'll try to turn him into a living doll, he thought. Shino cleared his throat. "There should be supplies there, Jin-san," he said in his usual monotone. Jin blinked, relaxing slightly. Liùwěi leaped down, darting into the bushes beside Sasuke where he'd landed. A deep red gemstone rolled out, uneven around the edges. Shino saw Jin's eyes widen as they fell on the gemstone that rolled out as Liùwěi leaped out after it, sitting next to it and looking up at him as if pleased with the discovery. His own eyes widened when both the gemstone and the summon began glowing a brilliant white. He glanced at Kurenai, knowing she didn't expect it any more than he had.
