Xander frowned slightly and nodded. "So far it has only been pokemon found in the base according to the announcements." He said and crossed his arms. "So either some wild pokemon randomly came to the base, a Rocket's pokemon has gone rogue, a Rocket has gone rogue, or someone is in the base and spreading pokemon out." Out of those choices, only the wild pokemon option was appealing in anyway.

Conrad moved under a table holding some misc. stuff as he continued to search around but paused briefly to wave his tail in greeting to Tyke.

[Floor -4]

Izaya hesitated when Faleen's Zoroark and Tambrey's Ella came at his doors. He had just been about to send out Celty, but it seemed there was no need. On the other hand, it didn't seem like Kid would be of much use for now, so he withdrew his Absol. Just then, the lights went crazy and the grunt caught sight of the emote made with lights before the doors finally opened.

Great, a Rotom. He didn't have time to deal with this thing. Something bigger was happening just beyond, but this pokemon didn't seem to care; it was already attacking his partner's pokemon. Or maybe it did care and was providing a distraction. Whatever the case, more pokemon would be needed. The Rocket grunt brought out four pokeballs - two in each hand - and called out his team of Zorua and Purrloin pairs.

"Mairu, Aoba - fight this thing. Kururi and Riviere, find out what's making all this - oi, Aoba!"

But the light blue Zorua had willfully followed after Kururi as they passed the Rotom and went ahead to check out what was happening with the Mewtwo. It seemed Aoba would not be parted from Kururi. Izaya cursed and turned to his remaining pair. "Fine! Riviere, use Faint Attack! Mairu, Assist! Help Faleen's pokemon until that one goes down!" He pointed at the angry Rotom for emphasis before chansing after his other pair.

The sight made him stop in his tracks and stare. The place was a mess. And there was a Mewtwo - a Mewtwo - in the middle of it all. People were bleeding, as well as pokemon...oh, Arceus, was that Faleen's Umbreon over there? And Seth!

Then the psychic-type tried to make its escape. Izaya ducked as the ceiling seemed to come down upon them all, narrowly avoiding a beam. The Mewtwo was speaking telepathically, much like Luciole used to do, only this one was loud, hurt, and scared. Izaya frowned. Like everyone else in the room (as far as he knew) he didn't want to die. But all he felt toward this psychic-type was bewilderment and curiosity. Surely it wouldn't have caused so much damage without provocation...?

Still, in order to understand it, they'd have to at least capture it first. Maybe someone could talk to it. Anything to keep it from leaving the base without having to destroy it - and Izaya had just the pokemon for the job. He tossed up his dusk ball. "Celty," he told her as soon as he emerged, his eyes on the elevator shaft that the pokemon had just disappeared up, "Go after that pokemon. Careful; it's powerful. And desperate. See what it wants. Keep it from escaping if you can, but don't kill it."

The Spiritomb was surprised at her trainer's orders, but glad she wasn't being ordered to directly harm another pokemon. Trying not to get distracted by the wreckage surrounding them, she flew after the psychic pokemon, who she presumed was up the shaft Izaya had been staring at.

[Izaya, Tambery. Elevator Rotom]

When the lights started Flashing Faleen took a step back, lifting a hand up to try and see what it was, until a very clear form of a Rotom appeared.
She blinked
"A Rotom? Thats what this is?" The Agent noted with a heavy tone of annoyance in her voice.
Pokemon! A pokemon was doing this!

She staggered backwards to get out of the way when the Rotom attacked her unsuspecting pokemon. Both Nachtara and Zoroark bucked backwards, yelling out when they were struck.

"Banette!" Faleen yelled, but the ghost was already on it. dashing up toward the Rotom, phasing out of sight for a second before he reappeared on the other side of Rotom in his Faint Attack

Noticing that a few of Izaya's pokemon had joined the fight, she nodded, glancing back over to the Rotom with a cold stare, Oh you stupid pokemon, how dare you try something like this.

[ Floor 2: Jerome + Inigo + Mewtwo]

As the trio (plus Pokemon) moved forward, Spook stopped short a few paces ahead when suddenly--

A wild HAIR DRYER appeared! ... wait...

Alba raised a curious brow, Spook mimicing the motion with an invisible brow of her own. The hair dryer itself skidded to a halt in midair there in the middle of the hallway, blocking any access to the elevator in that direction and whirring angrily at the group.

Before anyone would have the chance to attack it or approach, though, the metallic doors from the elevator located somewhere off behind the hair dryer were sent flying. The gray blur that sped past a second or so later startled the appliance so that it careened sideways into the wall and dropped dead to the floor. Still hovering a few feet in the air above it, though--

User Image

A confused wild ROTOM appeared!

Alba stood back up from where he had dove against the wall to avoid whatever that blur had been. "I, uh... I think we just figured out part of what's going on..." he said, repeating Inigo's words.

((Rotom post))

[ Frost, K.O., Claire (Floor 01) ]

The Rotom chattered in cheerful amusement as it dodged or otherwise avoided all attacks sent its way. It was so busy chortling at its opponents, it failed to send out any attack.

((To attack this Rotom again, roll a 4-sided die.

1 = Your Pokemon is confused! It hurts itself in its confusion.
2 = Confused or not, your Pokemon's attack misses.
3 = Confused or not, your Pokemon's attack hits.
4 = If someone rolls this, cue the victory music. This Rotom has been defeated! ))

----------

[ Faleen, Izaya, Tam (Floor -4 Elevator Rotom) ]

The Rotom eeped as it was hit by Ella's Mud Slap. It shook its entire body to clear itself of the muck. But not before being hit by the Faint Attack from Banette, then again by Riviere. The combinations caused it to bounce against the wall with a shriek, and it narrowly dodged whatever attack Mairu had copied with that Assist.

Righting itself, it sent out an irritated Thunder Wave.

----------

[ Aulus + Rory (Floor -4 Fan Rotom)]

The Fan Rotom gawked at Aulus' and Rory's commands for the strange Pokemon to attack it. Oh, hey now! Just what was the big idea?! All it had done was swipe a fan from someone's cubicle to go play some pranks! And now all it had done was follow a couple humans out of curiosity over- OH MERCIFUL ARCEUS THAT SNAKE THING WAS GLARING. The Rotom froze in place in utterly stunned horror at the look. There was no hope of it being able to dodge the Ember that Jace shot at it, and it dipped almost to the ground with a cry. The paralysis prevented the Rotom from any retaliation.

Harvard grit her teeth as she monitored the screens, particularly the one divided up and switching between multiple camera views. All over the base, Rockets of all ranks were tracking down the possessed appliances. But what really put her on edge were the few screen sections reporting only static, and the other views from cameras near the damaged ones. The working cameras didn't have the best angle of the battle going on against the Mewtwo, but every now and then something could be glimpsed in a corner, and those glimpses weren't looking good.

All audio reports were acknowledged by other Agents working at their stations or the control console. That included the report from Aulus, which was simply acknowledged with a confirmation that help was en route. Harvard had stopped personally responding; there were simply too many to continue that method.

Finally, the screens of static flickered back into discernible images. A murmur moved through the room as the Rockets in the Security offices saw of what the cameras bore witness. It was difficult to see exactly what was happening, who was injured or to what extent, but regardless... It was simple enough to see, as a section of the ceiling collapsed, that the afternoon was no longer simply going to be a hunt for stray pranksters. Harvard clamped her jaw and clenched her fists. She did not utter the curse that had wanted to escape. From her shoulder, Stanford sensed his master's tension, and even he did not make a sound. He could only watch her face worriedly. After a few short but eternally long seconds, Harvard addressed an Agent that worked directly under her. "End this. That Mewtwo is to be taken down. Lethal force encouraged."

"And... the Rotoms?"

"Catch them if possible, eliminate if not. No one will cry for them." That was all on that topic. "Contact the Infirmary. They need to be ready." This day was far from over. They could only hope that this had been the worse of it.

----------

[ Everyone ]

The speakers throughout the base crackled to life. Something had been damaged in the system, but it still served its purpose.

The male voice that spoke was monotonous; it was somber. Hollow. The only urgency the soul behind it could seem to muster was the knowledge that the order needed to be issued quickly. "Attention. Hostile Pokemon confirmed as a Mewtwo. Last seen moving up from floor number negative four." The tone dipped, laced with regret and perhaps... a touch of sorrow. "Kill on sight. Rotoms are to be captured if possible. Otherwise, targets are to be eliminated."

Now a female Agent's voice took over. It sounded much like the voice before it. "Medical team required on floor negative four. Repeat, urgent medical care required on floor negative four. Infirmary, prepare for incoming."

Grunt Shadow winced at Countess' attack, but seemed grimly amused at her trainer's reaction. "Ghosts might not be more trouble, but they sure have their own, creepy way of doing things."

His Jolteon couldn't take it anymore; not while all the other pokemon around her were fighting and she was doing nothing. She was restless. She let loose a haphazard Pin Missle at the Rotom. It was getting on her nerves.

"Lindsay! No! Bad girl," he told her, trying to draw her back into her pokeball. With an angry yowl she charged forward, not seeming to hear her trainer at all. The Haunter hanging around behind Shadow moved forward to take her place. The grunt stared as it unleashed a Shadow Ball on the seemingly wild electric ghost.

"The labs...?" The boy's brown eyes widened, distracted from his pokemon for a minute. "Don't they keep clone legendary pokemon in there...? But I heard they upped security! How could - " As he tried to think back on what he knew of the labs, a few flashbacks of being strapped down to a chair and forced to face a baby mewtwo came to mind. "...s**t."

There were hostile pokemon down there, clones or not, and they were used to attacking people. He doubted being locked up in the labs for so long would cultivate any sort of bond between them and their captors. Why should they hold any loyalty to Team Rocket?

(Angry Mewtwo/ Tech' Floor Battle/ Pinkie and Rory)

<> The Golbat retorted indignantly, mid-battle, despite the carnage and violence around.
He heard Rory, and Pinkie, though, and immediately wheeled around, bringing himself to land in front of the fire horse, facing her, as if his pink wings and body could make a protective shield.
Things were starting to fall all around and people and pokémon were already hurt or worse. He winced, feeling something fall far too close by for comfort, but winked at the pink horse in front of him.
<
There was still that Mewtwo to deal with, but with Pinkie hurt, other pokémon would have to pursue. Why wasn't Rory recalling her? Lasi flapped upward, now positioning himself over the fire-y horse and shouted for the blond man's attention. "Gol! Gol! Ba!"

(Faleen/Izaya/Elevator Rotom)

Tambrey was almost against a wall as she watched Izaya, free from the elevator, let his pokémon loose and then charge off after some of them. There were loud noises, flashes and violence going on nearby and an electric prankster just feet away from her.
Ella had hit it with an attack without being told.
Faleen seemed angry, but professional. Izaya hadn't even bothered to stay and deal with this pokémon...
It wasn't the threat she'd been reacting to; it wasn't a Galactic agent intent on electrocuting her or anything.
It was an electric type, and it was hostile, but she could deal with that.
Tambrey reached up to push up her glasses, taking a breath, and then, with a slight shake to her voice, finally issued a command.
"Ella, try Metal Claw."
"Ron..." Came the reply, and Tambrey seemed suprised to see the flickering yellow that indicated the Rotom had paralyzed her Aron.
"Ah!" Another pokémon might help, she speculated, slightly panicked, and found herself directing Treestar suddenly a few seconds later. She refused to give herself in to the panicked state she'd felt before. Not now she knew what this was and wasn't.
"Treestar, try a Razor Leaf on the... on that!" She pointed at the offending electric ghost.

Of course, Tambrey was only, for now, having to deal with the Rotom. What lay not far away, would have been infinitely more nightmarish.

Riviere and Mairu glanced at each other, at a loss for what to do next without their trainer when they were hit by the Rotom's Thunder Wave. The Purrloin flinched, paralyzed badly, but Riviere still managed to fight back with Fury Swipes. He went to Faleen's side, knowing her best after Izaya, and barked at Mairu to follow. When the dark feline was able to move again, she did so, though paused to watch Lasi defend Pinkie. What was going on? There was so much chaos!

A pair of glowing ghosts appeared from the other end of the hall, both shining with yellow light. The first, a small, glowing Gastly, noticed the Rotom at once and gave it a terribly Mean Look. Jack the Chandelure floated over to Lasi and Pinkie seemingly to guard them as he grinned, aiming a Confuse Ray at their enemy.

[Seth - Floor -4]

Awaiting Celty's return, Izaya didn't have much to do but survey the damage around him in the meantime. Upon doing so, however, he thought he recognized a limp, broken figure among the debris. "Ah...? Seth-ou...?"

The grunt went over to him, frowning, and knelt beside the Elite Agent. "Oi, you look like you took quite the beating. You should probably lie flat until the medical team requested gets here."

Kururi and Aoba came to Seth's other side, curious. Kururi looked at the stern man and nudged her head under his hand. Aoba, snuffing at this action, turned away and used Nasty Plot in case any hostile pokemon still lingered close enough. He'd seen what had become of Umbreon and he remembered that pokemon from that time in the training room.

It was frighting that a dark-type of that level of experience could die in such a way... and a reminder to everyone weaker and younger that one always had to keep up their guard, no matter how strong they thought they were.

"I don't like any of those options," Asch replied with a scowl. Even the wild Pokemon one. If they could get into the base and past their security system... that was just depressing.

Tyke scampered over to Conrad, tilting his head and waving his tail back at him. He then peered curiously at the other Pokemon, wondering what he was doing.

It was then that the announcement about a Mewtwo was given. Kill on sight. Asch's frown deepened even further. "We're wasting our time here." Clearly there was nothing happening in this store room and they could probably be better used in tracking down this Mewtwo. "Tyke, let's go!" And with that red head hurried out of the room to head towards the elevators.

Floor -4, Fan-Rotom, Faleen, Tambrey

The pain that was trying to override the adrenaline that was racing through his body had Rory slightly distracted until he started to hear the cracking of the ceiling above where they had been fighting off the Mewtwo. He watched in horror as the cracks grew and pipes burst as the ceiling started to cave in. He noticed Lasi trying to protect Pinkie as well as another pokemon he wasn't familiar with as he heard the cries of the other pokemon that jolted him back to action. He pulled his pokemon's ball off of his belt and recalled the injured fire horse back before she could get hurt.

"Lasi!" he called to the Golbat as he debated what to do; he could see the elite that the Mewtwo had been terrorizing and he could see what he thought was an Umbreon. Hearing a bit of commotion coming from the other end of the floor and knowing that there was nothing he could do for those there, he called to the Golbat again, "Lasi, let's go!" he called with a wince as he put a hand up to his right shoulder. With the pokeball reattached to his belt and, hopefully, the bat following him, he raced off in the direction he had sent his Charmander.

When he arrived, he spotted the group of pokemon surrounding the Rotom as the message came over the intercom for them to be captured. He tossed a ball towards the pokemon and gave Jace a command to come find him by the elevator they had started from before taking off further down the hall where the other half of the group was located. He spotted Tambrey quickly and the battle going on with another Rotom. He came to stand beside her, still favoring his shoulder as blood dripped down his cheek, before sending his Ponyta back into battle once again.

"Pinkie, use Flamethrower on that thing!"

[Tech Floor, Izaya, Floor 2]

As the Mewtwo disappeared, Seth groaned and began to sit up when Izaya came over. The grumpy elite squinted up at the shorter man, blood staining his right shoulder and arm. Yeah, he looked worse for wear. He'd definitely seen better days. Although he'd seen worse ones too.

"I'll be fine," he told the agent as he tried to sit up further. His line of sight landing on the very impaled and very dead Umbreon nearby. He paused, suddenly feeling very sick as he realized that could have been him. Seth's head then started to throb and feeling very light headed.

"Maybe you have a point," he muttered before laying down again. Ugh.

----

Meanwhile on Floor 2, the Mewtwo continued to dart through the halls. Finding dead ends and then going down other halls, like a frightened mouse in a maze. However, something eventually caught her attention. A glass pane with light pouring in from it and a landscape beyond that she had never seen before. Rushing for the light source, there was a sudden explosion of glass a couple seconds before the psychic Pokemon flew out of it.

Squinting against the bright light of the desert, coming from a bright ball above her, she wondered what this was. Flying high into the air and above the base, the Mewtwo paused, daring to look in amazement and confusion. This was her first time outside the Rocket HQ, and she was unsure what to do with herself now that she was out.

[Tech floor]

Oh f-

As he heard the ominous cracking Aulus grabbed Char's pokeball, recalling the injured fire type even as he dived forward. "All of you move!" There hadn't been time to get all of their pokeballs. They'd all be fast enough, wouldn't they?

A piece of masonry struck him on the back of the shoulder sending him crashing to the ground. He cracked his head on something or other and the world went fuzzy. Shaking his head the dazed agent heaved himself to his feet with the support of the wall. Where were his pokemon? Where were the others? A head bumping against his hip announced Tortie's presence, and after blinking hard a few times he managed to pick out the shapes of Discord and Red as well with Paul in her talons. There was Rory too, and Seth, Izaya had appeared from somewhere too, the other pokemon....

And Umbreon.

Stumbling away from the wall Aulus knelt down beside the dark type, and Absol. No revive was going to bring the Moonlight Pokeon back from that. Thinking through the haze was hard but after a few moments Aulus remembered the Rotom, but a quick glance over revealed that Rory and Discord were still on it. Good then.

Not sure quite what else to do Aulus reached out to stroke Umbreon's ears and then gently closed the dark type's eyes.

Discord exclaimed as debris rained down around him. Slithering out of the way he coiled his body up and then aimed a Dragon Tail at the Rotom, aiming to slam it into a wall.

[KO, Claire, Shadow]

Well that was that annoyance dealt with. Frost brushed down his uniform, listening to the new announcement with his head cocked. "Up, humm?... As an intelligent pokemon, one presumes that it will seek to escape as soon as possible. It might be expedient for us to go outside." Decision made Frost turned away from the defeated Rotom, recalled Skiron and made swiftly for the exit with his fingers curling around another pokeball in readiness.

---------------------

[Frost, Claire, Shadow]

Well well, seemed like discipline in your pokemon wasn't needed to move up from Trainee. KO raised an eyebrow at the Jolteon's behaviour, but he couldn't argue with the swift shadowball unleashed by the Haunter. "Well, that was certainly-"

The announcement cut him off, and turned his smirk to a grimace. "A Mewtwo?..." Last thing he wanted was to go chasing after a hostile legendary. Salvation came however in the form of the next order. "I think that's my cue," he said to the female agent, the probably grunt, and the other agent's disappearing back. "I'll be more use down there than hunting an escaped pokemon." Turning towards the stairwell KO took off at a run; the announcement had said urgent! It wasn't his problem if he failed to hear anyone shout after him in an attempt to give other orders.

Xander shook his head slightly. "I don't like them either." He agreed. Hopefully though everything would be straightened out soon.

Conrad's ears raised then lowered. ~Partner said to look for anyone or anything out of place.~ He offered as explanation.

Xander frowned and had to squish the worry that came with the announcement. Was Frost anywhere near the Mewtwo? Or any of his other friends? He put his mind off that and looked at Asch when he spoke. "Asch we still need to check the rest of the floor." He pointed out but started to follow the other man out of the room though at a slower pace. Conrad and Zack were quick to join him when they saw him leaving the room.
