[PRP] Days Best Spent With Friends

Luke's expression both softened and swelled at her response, and he offered another nod with a quiet admission, "It was." He knew he'd probably feel embarrassed about it if he thought about it much, so he simply decided to let it stand as it was: a feeling, a good feeling and one that he certainly didn't want to let go of too soon.

Nate didn't mind stepping aside to let the star of the party enjoy the spotlight, but when the song ended and Rosie called from the balcony to summon her friend, he led her from the circle back towards the higher platform, asking offhandedly, "So you enjoying yourself?" Seemed pretty obvious from that last dance, but she had looked a bit unimpressed with the whole shindig in the beginning, so.

It was perfect timing, really, that both her dancing and the song ended at roughly the same time that Rosie called her name. She was a little winded anyway after such an intense and fast-paced round of dancing as that, and therefore grateful for a reprieve when Nate led her away. Her hand moved up to slip around his arm as they maneuvered through the crowded dance floor and towards the VIP section, and at his question, she replied with a bright smile, "Yeah. Haven't had a chance to dance like that in a while." And it was a lot of fun.

Her hand fell away from his arm once they reached the steps to the higher level, and she moved up and across to get to Rosie to ask, "What's up?" Her two best friends looked similarly happy, which was good - Rosie normally was anyway, but Luke hadn't really looked happy in.. actually she couldn't really remember. It was good to see him smiling like that.

"That was really good Sera," Rosie commented to her friend when she was back up on the second level with them.
It was hard to hear over the new music, so Rosie stepped forward "We have a quieter aria we can go to, its got food and something to drink of you want it."

Sera grinned at Rosie's compliment, then nodded at her suggestion. "Yeah, that sounds good." She really was thirsty after that, anyway, so she moved to enter the room her friend had indicated.

Once inside, she immediately got a drink for herself, and after drinking about half of it she lowered the glass to regard her best friend, "So what all's in here?"

"Ummm" Rosie continued around the room once she showed the others where the drinks were. lacing her fingers behind her back as she paced along the outside of the sitting aria. a set of cushioned seating forming a large semi circle around a table. Along the counter set to the back of the room behind it was where the food way laid out, an assortment of snack, and some of Sera's favorite foods, as well as a cake.
Enough for the party that was invited anyway, this room was much quieter, giving the guests a chance to relax away from the chaos of lights and music.

"Lots of things, help yourself." She gesture toward it, "Everyone. Also!" Rosie perked up remembering something as she put her hands on the back of one of the seats. "You've got some gifts to open too."

Really she didn't even have to ask, if she'd bothered to look beyond the nearest place from which to procure a drink, and she took the time to survey the room as Rosie spoke. The mention of gifts, however, diverted her focus back to her blonde friend. "Really?" That was unexpected. Well, considering the entire party was unexpected, she'd sort of assumed the party itself was a gift - not that there would be others added in.

At the nudge, Yuri leaned back against the bar with his elbows resting on its surface. A smug smirk crossing his face.

"Pretty smooth, huh?"

Yeah she'd pretty much gotten that one right on the nose.

Yuri then glanced towards the group as they went back into the private room. He didn't seem to be in any particular hurry to join them though. He was content right where he was. Though Yuri definitely wouldn't be leaving without a slice of that cake.

When the DJ mentioned that it wasn't yet request time, Akira retreated a little from the railing, his pale apricot complexion reddening in embarrassment. As he hadn't been to too many clubs so far, he hadn't realized there were times allotted specifically for requests. He would have to keep that in mind for the future, but he was grateful to the man playing the music for accepting his request all the same.

"...What?" Emil's reply took him by surprise as his wits returned to him. "You don't?" Regarding the blond teen a minute, the brunet smiled. "Well then we'll just have to fix that sometime, won't we? If you want to, of course."

Returning to the rail in order to see Sera's reaction to the song, he watched her and Nate take the dance floor by storm and sighed happily at their performance. They really were very talented dancers; Yuri, Luke, Rosie, Sera, Nate - the whole lot. Was it experience and lessons that made it so, or passion and joy? Perhaps it was a combination of both.

When the song ended, Akira stood by as Rosie called to the birthday girl, summoning both Nate and Sera to the platform before the blonde young lady led them to a separate room. Akira, however, noticed a couple of guests were missing and leaned over the balcony railing once more to see if he could spot them. They still seemed to be lingering by the bar. Creating yet another paper airplane from the pad on the table, he wrote another note and aimed it at Yuri's back.

"Were you planning to join us, love birds, or are you busy with your own party?"

He figured Yuri would be able to take the jest without being offended, and if not, he could tell him so later face-to-face. Besides, Akira still really wanted to meet the woman Yuri had been spending so much time with. If they would come up to the private room, maybe he would finally get a chance to introduce himself properly and talk to her.

With a satisfied smirk, the brown-eyed young man turned to follow the other party-goers toward the more secluded party area. He too had brought a present to add to the small pile for Sera and he eagerly wanted to know what she would think of it.

Ray and Yuri, being the only two in the group that was invited that was of drinking age, had been very strictly informed that they were not to bring any alcohol up into the VIP aria, by the DJ himself. A discussion that might not have happened had the DJ's niece and friends not been the ones in the party.

Bruce, while strict about this, was not a cruel man, and welcomed them to drink as much as they liked, so long as it was at the bar, or on the floor.

Ray lifted her drink in acknowledgment to Yuri, nodding in agreement "They need to start busting out the glow sticks, see what you can pull off with those.
out of the corner of her eye something bounced off of Yuri's back, an eyebrow arching as she glanced up at where it had come from.

Yuri had since acquired himself a drink too, having no problems adhereing to the rule of staying out of the VIP area. However, he had left a gift for Sera in the room, among the others. It was a Zubat Pokedoll. And while he didn't put who it was from, he was sure she would have no problem guessing.

"That a challenge?" Yuri said back to Ray before taking a sip of his beverage. Just as something tapped him on the back. "Huh?" Blinking and turning around, he looked down to see a paper airplane on the floor.

Bending down, the man picked it up and unfolded the paper, eyes lifting to see one of the guys he didn't really know, retreating into the VIP room. "Heh, I guess our presence is expected," he said while handing the note to Ray.

"I was a competing trainer." Ray pointed at him her notched eyebrow arched high "I know how to make things flashy, so yes, yes that is a challenge."

Whatever bounced off of his back was picked up by the man, read, and then handed to Ray. she blinked quietly as she took it, glancing it over before a wide, amused smirk spread over her face.
"WELP!" she announced, snatching up her drink, taking a few seconds to down in completely, then step forward to throw an arm around Yuri's shoulder "Come on honey, sweety, pookie pie, the kids are calling us, lets not leave them waiting."

A smirk slowly slid across Yuri's face. Heck yeah, challenge accepted.

However, he blinked and grimaced just a little when she threw her arm around him and started calling him all sorts of endearing names. He too downed the last of his drink, setting the glass on the bar before relenting and going with Ray to the VIP room.

"Okay, I can handle the honey and sweetie, but lets drop the pookie pie."

"Don't be ashamed of me." ray huffed in mock offence, throwing her arms up once they reached the sets, and walking up before Yuri "Sorry Yuri, I don't think this is going to work out, we need to see other people. it was fun while it lasted, but you need to move on." She stopped at the top of the stares, turning around to hold a hand up "We can still be friends though, do you think you can handle being friends?"

"Damn, I think that's the quickest I've ever been dumped," Yuri replied, folding his arms across his chest.

"Sorry, I don't think I can handle it."

The problem was he said it with a completely flat, monotone voice.

Ray let out a heavy sign, reaching both hands out to drop them onto his shoulders. "Yuri...I understand... What we had must be difficult for you to move on from. all five seconds of it."
