Whatever Zacharie had it mind, it would have to wait just then.
Quote: Abruptly, a faint trembling began to shake the earth, accompanied by a peculiar shuddering sound in the distance. The dull noise rapidly escalated into a roar, an awful twisting of metal and crashing of stone and unbearable screams of noise that burst through the air as if the earth were a pounded drum. The sound gradually subsided to a dwindling rumble, replaced by a surge of wind and, carried upon it, a nearly solid wall of stirred sand rushing at them from the north.
Back at the battle, the group of Trainers, forgoing the bravado from seconds before looked around questioningly. "What is that?" one asked, but the others could only shrug.
Harvard looked to the northwest over her shoulder. "Recommendations, Elite Agent Becca?"
Elite Agent Becca, as Harvard had so formally called her, suddenly changed her demeanor drastically at the noise. She knew exactly what that was -- and she should, given she'd been the one to cause it. At a swift gesture, her Drifblim let her down, and immediately after she pulled a ball from her belt to release a Solrock as she turned to yell at the Rockets, "Everyone duck and cover! Panel, Protect!"
"Sol!" The floating pokemon hummed, immediately throwing up a Protect as Becca ducked behind it, using it as a shield from the oncoming rush of sand and various debris.
((And now damage rolls... BECAUSE WHY NOT! 8D These rolls are light because of the circumstances, and you have until end of Sunday to cause it. As usual, you may inflict heavier damage than rolled if desired.
7-10: Maybe some ruined hair and dirty clothes, but no injuries. 4-6: Light damage (scrapes, bumps, and bruises) 1-3: Moderate damage (broken or sprained appendages, deep cuts/gashes, etc.)
Modifiers: Elite +3, Agent +2))

The Battle continued on, it wasn't anything spectacular, though Faleen hoped to finish off the trainers soon.
It was the trembling that she noticed first, the poised Agent lowering her gaze to the ground, where she saw the sand quivering below her feet, only to increase in velocity until it became almost to intense to stay standing. Turning around, Faleen lifted her wide eyes to the north, where she found just what she had expected to. "Oh.... dear."
Get cover was ABSOLUTELY the best thing to do. But all at once Faleen had a greater concern, The hard drives. "BANETTE!" She yelled "THE CASE!" There wasn't much time, Faleen yanked a dusk ball from her strap and thrust it out. "Sharpedo Protect!" The Large shark bounced around and thrashed angrily, Faleen having barely just managed to get to him, hunkering low and clinging as tightly as she could as the shark threw up his Protect. Banette crashing into her with the bag that she snatched to her chest and clung to tightly.
Anyone who was close by her would be welcome to take shelter under the Protect, if they could get over there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was Jerome that had no idea what that noise and the shaking earth was. as he turned with a frown and was met with a wall of Rock and sand rushing them, he stood in complete shock, at least the order was very clear, it gave Jerome a clear direction, one he had FULLY intended to listen to.
"Everyone duck and cover"
There wasn't much time, Jerome didn't have to be a genius to see how fast that s**t was coming.
"Mother ********!" Jerome burst out, thinking of the first thing that would help. His massive metal pokemon. Throwing out the Metacross from her Pokeball the dark skinned man did the first thing he could think to do in the amount of time he had. Reaching over to grab Zacharie, and yank him over to the Metagross who was hunkering down. Ducking under the large steel type the older man thew his arms over the Trainee, . "Keep yer' head down, N'hold yer ********' breath!" He growled.
Bro and Tremain were still out there, he wasn't worried about Bro, but Tremain wasn't a ghost type, he wouldn't be able to go through those rocks. <******** ******** ********! ********' don't die!
((D1 = KO. D2 = Aulus))
KO clenched his fists and jaw, his usually cool smirk giving way to a savage grin of satisfaction as the Sceptile went down. "Viceroy, Regent! Help Countess! Kaiser keep on the Rapidash! Cojiro that's enough Sand Attack, get on-"
The order he had been about to give died in his throat as the earth began to shake under his feet. KO considered himself a man of many talents, and one of said talents was finely honed survival instincts. "Belay that! Viceroy get over here now!" The fire type was both large and fast making him the best candidate for a getaway or hiding behind.
This turned out to be a very smart move, as moments later the elites gave the order to duck and cover. As the wave of debris approached Viceroy hunkered down to give covered to his trainer, and the rest of his friends - besides Kaiser who was too large in Wash Form - who had also hastened over to take cover.
KO dropped into a crouch, hands on the ground to give himself balance and to help shove himself upright and into a sprint if the situation called for it. Despite Viceroy's best efforts to protect him the trainee Rocket felt a burst of pain in the side of his head as something struck him. Uttering a curse that was lost in the cacophony he huddled closer to the big fire type to wait out the hail of debris.
____________________
Aulus had slightly different priorities, namely calling his pokemon back to safety when the order was given. Char gave a roar of protest as he was sucked back into his pokeball but he would just have to live with his protective instincts being thwarted. As the wave approached Aulus dropped to the ground, shielding his head with his arms as best he could. Without any actual shelter sharp little pieces of rock sliced painfully into his back, nothing serious but he would need the attention to tweezers later to get all the bits out.
Since their van was already parked sideways, Harvard ducked down along the opposite side of the vehicle and next to the front tire, using it as her shield for the approaching storm that had been kicked up. The drivers and cargo handlers did the same by the rear tire, and there was room left to spare if Bro and Tremain, or anyone else really, joined them.
The Trainers, however, seemed to be struck stiff at the sight of what was coming. They quickly recalled all of their Pokemon except for Emboar, but were now arguing frantically over what to call that could give them added cover. Harvard sighed in a resigned way. "Cornell." The Alakazam needed no further instruction. In fact, he was already on it. The Trainers squeaked and looked terrified as they were lifted in pairs and deposited with minimal grace in front of the cargo truck's grill. It wasn't the best defense, but with the Emboar to shadow over them, they would at least get out alive.
The roar of the wind was deafening, and the load of sand and grit it carried would do no favors to any exposed skin or careless lungs. Eventually, however, the cacophony died down into a lingering howl. The sun was obscured by the dust still hanging and swirling in the air, lighting the area only by a hazy, orange glow.
After some time, a Trainer peeked around the front of the cargo truck, holding up the collar of his shirt to shield his nose and mouth.
