Just when he managed to drink, Daniel's words made him spit it all out. "I'm not jealous!" Julian argued with an embarrassed blush on his face. "It's just that we're finally dating, and I don't think it's fair that someone checks you... out... Aww, I'm jealous..." he groaned while running his fingers through his hair.

"It's alright," he chuckled, smirking. "You're really adorable, Julian. It's really difficult to keep myself from reaching over the table and kissing you senseless."

Julian moved his hands out of his hair to give Daniel a mystified look. "I think this is the fifth time you've called me adorable or cute." he mentioned before smirking at him. "I may be jealous, but you're a lovesick puppy! I think that's way cuter than jealousy~ Especially for an assassin!" he teased.

"Shush! Keep it down!" he hissed, covering his face with his hands. "Not everyone here knows what I am. It scares the new hires away when they find out."

"What, that you're the infamous Nightingale... in-training?" Julian drawled in a hushed tone. "Have you even killed anyone on your own yet? Mom's already let me dissect three people, and my dad's letting me go clubbing some time this month to find someone to kill." he boasted proudly. Talking like this reminded him of when he first lost his virginity and talked on and on about it to Daniel.

Daniel blushed in shame. "Dad doesn't think I'm ready yet," he admitted. "Something about how I'm still too clumsy. I don't understand what he means by that, but whatever."

"Really? The fancy and bad-a$$ Daniel is too clumsy to kill?" Julian laughed. "Do you need me to give you lessons~?" he teased.

"You even try, and I'll practice on you," he grumbled, crossing his arms and pursing his lips irritatingly. It wasn't his fault! His technique was immaculate, his aim perfect, his ability to clean up flawless! Why wouldn't his father let him have his first kill?

Julian's laughter instantly came to a halt when he heard the threat. He'd pretend to be scared of that for now, he wasn't sure how Daniel would react to his excitement to punishment. Then again, he wasn't sure what his take on it was himself, so maybe he really should fear punishment.

After a minute, Daniel let out a breath and set his forehead on the table. "This is so awkward," he grumbled before sitting up and throwing a roll at the small crowd of waiters watching them from the corner. "Jesus, how do our dads handle this? It must be because of who we are."

Julian grinned. "Don't worry, I've got just the thing to brighten this mood!" he said and pulled out his wallet. He looked through it and pulled out a small picture. "Your mom gave this to me a few days ago. I've been meaning to ask... Were you curious as a child?" He set the picture down to show Daniel when he was a kid in a dress, looking as though he were some kind of ghost.

Daniel gaped at the picture, then surged across the table. "Where on Earth did he get that?! Dad swore no pictures were taken of that prank!"

Julian quickly grabbed the picture and stretched his arm back so Daniel wouldn't be able to reach for it. "Uncle Ethan's brother took a picture of it and sent it to him, and he never deleted it from his phone." he laughed. "C'mon! Tell me why you were dressed as a girl! Was it for Halloween? Hate to break it to ya, Danny, but you can't be a princess!" he taunted while laughing hard at his date's dismay.

Defeated, Daniel bowed his head and sighed. "Aunt Niji wanted to pull a prank on Uncle Mark, so she dressed me up as a little ghost girl and we scared him." He pursed his lips. "It was supposed be a one-time thing..."
