Sato smiles happily when he hears the older male laugh because he was intentionally trying to be funny. He watches Jason to see what move he makes and plans his next move in the meantime.

Jason looked at him gently and softly as he smiled and move the piece to the edge as he smiled before pulling back so the other could make a movie. "your turn"he said.

Smiling softly Jason looked at him thinking a bit before bite the inside of his mouth some what. "You know what I really do not know, I know they are called activities but that is about it. If you want we can look it up later to see if it is"he said gently.

Sato listens to the teacher's response to his question. "I know, its a sport because seen one of its competitions. Competing against each through mental strength and wits. Being able to think ahead and anticipate your opponent's next move" he responded.

Looking at him calmly and gently Jason listened the whole time so he would not interrupt the other at all as he took a deep breath. "I never have heard it that way at all, but now it actually makes sense now that you explained it. Why you think of competing in some way?" he asked softly.

Sato listens to his response to what he had said about chess competitions. "That it can transfer to real life and proof if the winner is the making of a future leader or just really clever" he responded honestly.

Jason blinked softly as he looked at Sato gently as he smiled and tilted his head gently before looking over at him gently. "Well then i think if you are so passionate about this then you should start the club if there is none. I am sure there would be people who would join"he said gently.

Sato laughs a little and shakes his head a little, "Nah, I don't do clubs. Chess and checkers just helped me get out of some life and death situations so to say" he responded honestly, "I don't think I can fully be passionate about anything other than keeping away from my fears if that counts" he added

Sato is surprised Jason wants to know what his fears are. "Sure, its a long list of them" he responded honestly, "I am known as the frighten bunny. First fear is phasmophobia then acrophobia, aquaphobia, coulophobia, ophidiophobia, ailuphobia nekos and people who can shape shift into big felines don't count, hynophobia, nercophobia and lots more other fears" he lists a few phobias to the teacher.

"Wow that is a lot of fears still, have you ever tried to face them actually. I mean facing them would only make you stronger and not really being scared of them"he said gently.

Sato assumes Jason understands what the phobias he has mention mean. "I face most of them every day even in my sleep like phasmophobia. Those beings are all over the place in this school, they used to be tamed by the geography teacher, but then he bails so they go back to harassing the living. Like I don't already have bad experience with the dead" he responded honestly, "Trust me what doesn't kill you doesn't always make you stronger" he said to him.
