"That's not what I'm trying to do." She said after moment, feeling an immense weight of his words.
She could understand how frustrating that would come along with it. And of course that was never her intention to cause that kind of feeling.
But its how he felt anyway, how was she supposed to act then? she had no clue what to say to him anymore, if anything she said at all was just going to further upset him and give the impression she expected him to remember.
its what she wanted of course, but she knew that nothing she did or said would fix the situation.

She probably couldn't say anything more even if she had the faintest clue of what to say.
A knock on the door, most likely was was Seraphine, so Rosie, with a last glance over to Luke walked over to open the door. lifting her eyes to her friend and smiling weakly
"Hey- come on in," She said, stepping back and holding the door open for her,

Well, he knew that. He didn't know her very well, but he could at least gather that she probably wasn't the sort to actively try to make people feel bad. But the Jirachi's cryptic remarks were difficult to take in stride when he was already on edge. 'It's like what happened before.' 'You said it that day.' What was that even supposed to mean? How was he supposed to understand without a proper explanation? How could he be expected to respond to something he knew absolutely nothing about? Why was he answered with disappointment when he failed at something that he had absolutely no chance of success with in the first place?

A knock at the door silenced the words, though in all likelihood he wouldn't have voiced them anyway. He glanced to the door as it was drawn open, unsure of how to react to the unfamiliar person on the other side.

She wasn't quite sure what to expect, but when Rosie opened the door, it was... almost pretty much what she didn't know she was expecting. Her blonde friend didn't look as happy as usual - and how could she, after everything that happened - and Luke was quiet, which... he kind of was sometimes. At least that hadn't changed. "Hey," she said as cheerfully as she could as she stepped in and closed the door behind her, trying to brighten her mood and tone to make up for the lack of positivity in the room she now found herself in, and moved forward to give Rosie a hug. "Sorry I'm late. I hope you guys didn't have too much fun before I got here," she teased as she stepped away again and looked to Luke, hesitating briefly as she deliberated on what to say before quickly deciding on, "How're you feeling?"

Anastasia slipped in after her trainer and briefly rubbed at the blonde's leg, before she trotted over to Luke instead and hopped up on the bed beside him. While she liked Rosie a great deal, Luke had been the one to find her at that one human's house and had restored her to her rightful trainer, and thus she gravitated towards him. With a happy churring noise, she settled down next to the redhead and rubbed her head on his arm in the hope of attention.

Luke watched the new arrival with some apprehension; he assumed this was the expected visitor - Sarah? He linked his hands in his lap, his gaze falling as he was addressed. How was he feeling - it wasn't the first time that day he'd been asked as much, and he wondered if they were referring to his tender arm or simply expecting him to feel as physically unwell as he was mentally. He shrugged passively, "Normal, I guess. For me." He wasn't sure what constituted 'normal' for the other him.

The appearance of the pokemon at his side startled him briefly, and its affectionate behavior was mildly confusing. After watching it for a moment, he cautiously turned his palm to it. "Umbreon, right...?" he ventured. It was always somewhat rewarding to try to think of a piece of information and actually come up with something instead of drawing a blank.

Watching how Luke seemed to be a little startled and hesitant, Sera couldn't help but feel a pang of worry. He really didn't remember anything, did he? Oh, well, he remembered what sort of pokemon she was, so that at least counted for something. "Yep, an Umbreon," she said with a nod, glad at least for that much. He probably didn't remember her either, though, and so the brunette decided to expound upon her first pokemon. "She's just hoping you'll pet her or something, she doesn't bite or anything. Oh, and her name's Anastasia."

The named Umbreon happily nuzzled the offered palm. While she didn't fully understand the situation, she had at least gleaned a few important facts and had gathered that Luke was unwell and obviously didn't remember her - which was disconcerting, but she didn't let it bother her too much. She, like her trainer, fully expected him to remember everything soon. Anastasia, though, also expected - or, rather, hoped quite a bit - for any attention he might give.

He relaxed slightly, put somewhat more at ease by the sensible explanation. He gave a faint nod to indicate his acknowledgment and lifted his hand to pet the dark-type's head. At least this pokemon, unlike the Jirachi, couldn't talk; if the Umbreon was disappointed in him for his condition, he certainly couldn't tell.

Rosie watched as the door closed, her smiling returning as she accepted the hug from her friend, feeling grateful to have her here.
Not that Sera needed it, but Rosie lead her back through the small hallway past the bathroom and to where Luke was sitting.

"We spent the last few hours looking around the city." She told Sera as she watched Luke greet the Umbreon, "It was fun."
Thankful this encounter with a pokemon was going well, Rosie was still really stressed out about now Northern was going to be taking this, and then of course there would be the time he would meet his own pokemon. She hoped he returned his memory soon, before that became something she had to really think about.

"So uh. This is Seraphine." Rosie said with a gesture to the brunette.

Sarah...feen. ...That probably wasn't how it was spelled. He began to respond but stopped to reconsider his words before pronouncing them. 'Nice to meet you' probably wouldn't be well-received, given that he allegedly already knew this girl. He frowned softly, resigning himself to the fact that was going to have to be awkward one way or another, "Hello..."

Anastasia continued making happy, pleased noises at the attention Luke gave her, going so far as to close her bright blue eyes and set her head on his leg as she sprawled out beside him, quite content.

"Oh, that's cool," the brunette responded with a nod. Sandalwood was pretty cool, she thought, though she definitely preferred Camphoreon. This city was too... naturey.

Being introduced by name to someone who had been her best friend for the better part of two years or so, however, was not cool, and she briefly felt rather awkward and at a loss of what to say - and he seemed a little hesitant as well, though she wasn't sure why. Probably had to do with not remembering anything. "Hey," she responded hopefully more casually, and hopefully not as awkwardly as she felt. Man, this was weird as hell introducing herself to her best friend as if he was someone totally different - he wasn't, he was the Luke she'd known and been friends with for the past several years. Weird as hell, that's what this was; hopefully he'd regain his memory soon, as all they could do for now was be patient. "Sera's fine though. So Luke," she went on as she took off her light hoodie and dropped it on a chair nearby, but paused before continuing and instead gave him a quizzical look, which she briefly shot at Rosie before directing it back to the redhead, "Luke, right? Or..." Well damn, now she felt a little awkward - they'd at least told him his name, right? He remembered that, at least?

He was faintly surprised, when she shed her sweatshirt, to notice that only one of her arms terminated in a hand, though he returned his gaze to his lap before he could be accused of staring. He probably wasn't supposed to be surprised, if they were friends. Not that he had any room to judge anyway; he wasn't exactly whole himself. He sort of wished that missing memories were as visible, so people would know not to expect too much from him.

He nodded mildly at the name she used to address him, "That's what I've been told, anyway."

"Okay," she said with a nod, figuring he was okay with being called Luke. That was his name, after all - why would he want to be called something different? With that said, she suddenly realized she didn't have anything to really respond to, nothing to say... which made her feel rather awkward. This was kind of a difficult situation to deal one - one that was completely and wholly foreign to her - and she wasn't entirely sure how to handle it.

In lieu of actually handling it, she moved over to flop herself down on the bed next to Anastasia, who lifted her head off Luke's leg when her trainer sat down - she seemed perfectly content to be between two people who might pay her attention - and the brunette looked to Luke. "I know you don't remember stuff, so if you wanna ask questions - about anything - you totally can. Oh," she suddenly remembered what Rosie had said, thankfully - she had been debating outright saying that she had no idea what to say - and added, "What'd you think of this city?"

It was mostly and impulse to try and keep her hands busy, Rosie reached down to pick up the sweater that Sera had put down, absently folding it as the brunette moved over to Luke, talking to him.

The sweater was placed onto the desk that was sitting in the room, and her hand reasted on the back of the computer chair as she stood, and listened to the two.

He silently watched her move as she took up a place on the bed, nodding stiffly at her given permission to ask questions; that was nice and all, but he didn't know what to ask if he just tried to think of something all of sudden. In response to the question that followed, he withdrew his hand from the Umbreon to join its twin in his lap, twirling his thumbs around each other. "It was... interesting," he replied. "It was different from how I expected."

If Sera noticed Rosie pick up and move her sweatshirt, she made no indication, and instead simply nodded at Luke's words. "Yeah, I can understand that. Everything is in trees, not anything like a real city. I felt the same when I first came to Sandalwood," she finished with a shrug, then tilted her head a little. "What'd you expect it'd be like?"

"Like a regular city," he said with a shrug. "You know... skyscrapers, paved roads..."
