Announcement!
After much consideration I've decided the rp is taking place roughly 20 years later. Therefore I will allow canon characters however these characters can not wield keyblades. They may use a new weapon as well as powerful magic but their physical attacks will not be as powerful as the new keybladers. If you'd like to use a Canon character I've made a profile layout for them below the others.
Also Disney characters such as Yen Sid will be considered to age extremely slower than kingdom hearts or final fantasy characters so they are all still as they were.

Sorta late to join in, but I'm kinda skeptical about using past characters. I had this same question in one of my own RPs and I'm more of voting towards not having returning (main) characters. My reasoning is that, why have them return when the new characters are what you want the story to focus on? Sometimes returning characters are done wrong but I've seen a lot of instances were they are made into more of a focus than the new ones. At least on my RP I know it wasn't a good idea cause there was an entire sequel series that did that and got raved against...
But I'm ranting on. I just don't really like this idea >_>
