Jack said, smiling apologetically. She stepped aside to let him in, and he entered, noticing an intimidating looking older boy that must have been Miranda's elusive older brother standing at the end of the hallway. Jack got the feeling he was being glared at, but his friend quickly reassured her brother that Jack was not an intruder. He waved awkwardly at the other boy as Miranda led the way into the kitchen.
"That your brother?" Jack asked, tilting his head the direction of the hallway. He then added, "I take it you didn't warn him company was coming?" He moved to sit down at the table, where Miranda's homework was all spread out. ☽╠══━━══╣☾ ❝I like songs about drifters - books about the same. They both seem to make me feel a little less insane. Miranda Macy
Miranda nodded, sitting back in her seat in front of her homework. "Yeah. He stopped by in time for dinner. Which is good. Jamie has been missing him hard lately because of a few events at her school." She replied, moving some of the papers around, and pulling her spiral notebook closer. She laughed softly, the house already getting that 'everybody's in bed' silent feel to it, especially with just the kitchen light on for now. "You should've brought your homework to. We could've had a study night." She smiled over at him, leaning an elbow on the table.

Hell, he was nineteen and didn't know how to handle his own. Then he grinned at Miranda. "Do you really want to sit here and study on a Saturday night?" He asked mischievously, his voice low. Not only because the apartment had already quieted down for the night, but also because he was about to bring up the party idea, and he was worried her brother might overhear and get angry. He already hadn't been too happy to see Jack over, and Jack had no idea how he would react to the thought of his little sister going out to some party. Even though he and Miranda were close friends, Jack and her brother had never met before, so he could imagine the guy would be pretty protective. ☽╠══━━══╣☾ ❝I like songs about drifters - books about the same. #FF3333Once they were both in the kitchen, Ecko walked over and locked the door back. He'd noticed Miranda forgot to do it herself. Unusual, but probably not a mistake he would take too much note in unless it happened again. It was a pretty tense situation after all. Once he had finished locking the door, he headed back into Jamie's room and sat down on the edge of her bed. She was still wide awake and looking up at him curiously. "Who was that?" She asked. Ecko shrugged. "Just some friend of Miranda's." He replied, and Jamie lit up. "Was it Jack??" She asked clearly excited by the prospect. This only made Ecko frown down at her, feeling uncomfortable that Jamie apparently knew more about the stranger than he did. 'I don't know, but you need to get some sleep, so how about we finish this book." She nodded in agreement and settled back down, as Ecko started to read again. "No!" Jamie interrupted suddenly. "You were at the part where the Faerie Queen was giving Julia the special dust!" And then Jamie gave him the most haughty pout imaginable. Ecko raised his eyebrow at her with a teasing grimace before cracking a smile he wasn't able to hold back. This made Jamie laugh uncontrollably and cover her face. "Alright then." Was all he could say as he turned a few pages ahead with the smile still on his face. Once he found the right spot he began to read again, and Jamie, satisfied laid her head back on the pillow and studied the pictures, her imagination taking off on her brother's narrations.

Miranda Macy Miranda raised an eyebrow and gave Jack a curious look. She wasn't sure what he was getting at, because she couldn't think of anything else she could do. The house was pretty clean, and Jamie was in bed, and she'd taken care of all her Gym Training appointments for the next few days unless someone new called to schedule. "Well, what did you have in mind?" She asked, folding her arms on top of each other on the table in front of her.

Cyrus Alman **Time Skipped To the party** Cyrus sat on the curb in front of his group home, and waited for Tyler to show up. He was also waiting for Emma to come and join him. Honestly who knew when Tyler would show up. He was relying on his brothers, and those guys always did what they wanted on their own time. He only hoped that they wouldn't just leave him and Emma behind.

"Well, I heard some kids at school the other day talking about this party..." He trailed off, waiting to see what her reaction to that plan would be. "I was going to see if Wes wanted to go too, but he hasn't responded to my texts all day." He shrugged, like that was whatever. To be honest, he had felt kind of awkward around him lately, as he was still trying to decide how to tell the other boy what he had found out. There seemed to be no good way to start that conversation, though, so he had just been avoiding it. Jack gave Miranda an exaggerated eyebrow wiggle and a grin that said "it will be fun". ☽╠══━━══╣☾ ❝I like songs about drifters - books about the same. ∝╬══→ єммα мαsσи Emma was practically bouncing as she hurried to get ready for the party Cyrus had invited her to tag along to. It was really the first big social event she would be attending in her time here at the girl's home. She donned her usual outfit of jeans and a sweater, and shoved some money into her pocket just in case. As she left, she quickly explained to the house "mother" that she would be hanging out with Cyrus from across the street, before dashing out the door. She didn't think she should tell the woman that they were going to be out partying, because Emma was sure that she would not approve.
Emma saw Cyrus sitting on the curb in front of his group home, and peeked both ways before hurrying over to sit beside him. She could still barely contain her excitement. She had debated bailing on the party a couple of times after she had gotten home the night before, her own worry and anxiety kicking in, but the closer it came to Saturday night, the more eager she was to finally have something more interesting than homework and chores and sitting around the group house living room to do.
"Hey!" She said, her tone just a little bit too bright. ❥ Mais dis-moi adieu demain. ❥ Mais dis-moi adieu en chemin. ❥ Vas voir les autres, je n'en pense rien. ❥ Je t'ai aimé, mais je t'assure que c'est la fin...

Miranda Macy Miranda smile grew as she watched him trying to goad her into going to a party. She had never been the partying type, but with Jamie to care for it was hard to get out like that. Miranda never trusted babysitters, unless they were close friends like Mimi, but that girl would be so jealous if Miranda left her on babysitting duty while she went out and partied. She bit her lip, surprising herself by the amount of desire she had for a night out, and it was with Jack - and extra plus(especially since it'd drive all her friends crazy when she told them). Many of them had a crush on Jack, and often teased her for hanging out with him, but not getting any action from him. They were just friends after all. With a soft sigh, her few seconds of deliberation on the idea led to Ecko who was with Jamie now. There wasn't too much responsibility in watching their little sister while she slept. All you had to do was pretty much in the house, but with Ecko, even that seemed to be a chore. She only hoped he'd be ok with it anyway. "Ok." She replied. "Let me just give my brother a heads up so he doesn't bail on Jamie, and leave her alone in the house. I can't stay out too late though." She warned her friend, even though it was already passed 8:30pm. Standing up from the table, Miranda headed into the living room and down the short hallway to Jamie's room gently knocking on the door jam. "Hey, Glen. Jack and I need to go get some stuff. Can you stay and watch Jamie until I get back?" She asked. Ecko furrowed his eyebrows concerned, but Jamie lit up, although she was already getting sleepy. "Jack is here! Can I say Hi??" She asked, trying to sit up, but Ecko put his hand on her chest and gently pushed her back down. "No, you need to get to sleep." He told her firmly and looked back at Miranda. "Yeah sure, but make it fast." He replied. causing Miranda to scowl at him. "Yeah thanks. Goodnight Jam Jam." She turned her smile to her sister. Jamie beamed sleepily at her. "Goodnight Mir." Miranda headed back into the kitchen and started to push all of her homework, books, and whatnot together in a half-hazard pile. "Ok, let's go." She said, grabbing her jacket as she led him out of the kitchen, and then out of the apartment. She had to admit, she felt pretty excited to finally get a 'fun' night.

Cyrus Alman Cyrus couldn't help but grin as he watched Emma all but dash across the street to sit and wait with him. Her energy was contagious however, and he suddenly began to feel just as hyped about the party tonight. He didn't really know who was running the show, but he was sure wasn't going to be a small event. "Hey Emma." He greeted her, holding out his fist for a return bump. "I just talked to Tyler on the phone. He's waiting on his brothers, and then he said he'd be right over." He looked her up and down though, a bit distracted for a moment, and then added: "you are looking pretty good tonight."

"I try." she praised herself as she pushed her bangs back. She wasn't listening to anything else he said about homework and Cyrus and something or other. The girl started to follow Tyler before her phone started buzzing in her pocket. Taking out the iphone, Weiss let out a large sigh. "Gonna take a rain check, kid. Gotta get back in time for the night shift." Weiss informed him while she waved her phone in the air. She quickly turned on her heel and started making her way back to the diner. Pulling out another cigarette and lighting it, she inhaled slowly but deeply. Exhaling, a large cloud of smoke escaped her nostrils and mouth. She didn't even have time to go fix herself up again at her apartment before she went back. Oh well, Ecko will just have to deal with her looking kind of like trash.

He didn't hear much of the conversation, but a large grin plastered itself onto his face when he heard Jamie's voice cut through the quiet, wanting to say hi to him. Jack wanted to call a "hi" back to her, but he knew that it wouldn't help the fact that everyone else seemed to be trying to get her to sleep, so he stayed quiet until Miranda returned and half tidied her pile of papers.
"I wouldn't dream of keeping you out past ten." Jack vowed as though he were trying to impress a protective father, rising from his seat and following her out of the apartment.
'I think the house is pretty close to here." He said when they got outside, trying to remember the exact address. He remembered the street, and so he just started to head that direction, thinking it would probably be pretty obvious which house it was when they got there. Jack shoved his hands into his pockets and was careful to walk right next to Miranda, since the area was kind of sketchy. ☽╠══━━══╣☾ ❝I like songs about drifters - books about the same. Tyler Cambell Tyler nodded, and waved goodbye to Weiss, heading off back into the city. Eventually he just headed home though, and called Cyrus' group home to see if he was there. He wasn't, but Tyler had the answering person to have Cyrus give him a ring. Now it was time for the party, and his brothers were taking loads of time getting ready. You would think they were a bunch of chicks. Tyler could only groan, at them as he waited on the couch talking to Cyrus on the phone. "Yeah, we'll be there in a few hundred years. They're griping like a bunch of bitches." He replied to something Cyrus had asked. Once he had gotten off the phone though, it was time to go. Tyler hit up the back seat while one of his brothers called shotgun, and the other drove them. Tyler leaned over the passenger seat. "Hey remember, we have to go pick up Cyrus." He said. "Yeah yeah" Tommy(the one driving) replied, waving him off. Tyler sat back in his seat and glared at them, not knowing if that was an affirmative. His answer soon came though as he recognized the neighborhood, and then the car finally parked in front of Cyrus' home. A byunch of kids were milling around, and he leaned out of the window, waving at Cyrus and Emma who were seated on the curb. "Hey guys, let's go!" He called. "Yeah hurry up!" Tommy and Joey mimicked. Tyler could only scowl briefly in irritation, as if they had any room to talk about hurrying up. Tyler had been waiting for hours for them to be ready, and 6pm had come and gone.

Miranda Macy Miranda nodded, cocking half a smile his way as she pulled on her jacket. "I'm kind of excited." Was her response, The rain today made the evening sort of brisk, but it only seemed to heighten her excitement. She had a tumbling knot in her stomach however, worrying about leaving Jamie behind. She only hoped Ecko would have the sense enough to remain in the apartment whether Jamie was asleep or not. With a deep, soft breath she shivered out her worries, and tried to focus on the fun ahead. Following Jack, they had made it a few blocks into a more abandoned neighborhood when she could suddenly hear music booming away. Finally more people started appearing, either lounging around or loitering, and then the lights ahead indicated the house that was the main attraction. There were a lot of people taking part in dancing and much traffic going in and out of the house. She grinned at Jack, following behind him nervously.
