The meal did not sound appealing to Tenere, although it would have to do for their meal. "Delectable." he responded in a simple yet fancy word. Waiting was the activity now, and even as a lady entered in an elegant dress, his attention didn't waver. When the doors opened next and a couple came out, a child and lady knight, he had his suspicions. They were confirmed when the queen introduced him. Standing up out of his chair, Tenere walked around the table to the child, hands folded behind his back. He leaned in closer to see his details. "Kai hm... So. You're the demon who spoke of my death..." he gave the child a genuine smile. "You have no idea how long I've waited to finally meet you. My name's Tenere."

Prophet Kai ►◄ Lady Knight Lynette Moncelle
As Cerise entered the room, Kai smiled and gave a wave, Lynette bowing her head a bit in greetings from where she stood by the wall. Lyn found it a bit strange that she was alright with these strangers seeing Kai, even introducing him as the prophet. Despite her thoughts, Lyn remained calm, until one of the strangers moved towards Kai. Lyn tensed a bit, letting her hand rest gently on the hilt of her blade should the man make any aggressive motions to Kai, who just watched with a smile as the man walked over.
Kai's gaze followed the man who got up and started walking over to him. He listened to the man who introduced himself as Tenere and let out a small giggle. "It's nice to meet you! Though I can't say for certain if I have demon blood or not. I hope you didn't have to wait that long, that would be a rough dilemma." Kai spoke with a smile, unfazed by the conqueror's closeness.

Robin couldn't help but to stare a bit as Tenere approached the prophet, who didn't seem in the least bit fazed. Shouldn't the child be concerned? Did he know who he was face to face with? Granted the appearance of the prophet made Robin's job of capturing him later a lot easier, but still, it was almost creepy how calm the child was when facing Tenere.
Something stirred in the back of Cecile's mind, and a ping of anxiety rocked through her as Tenie approached Kai. It only worsened as Kai mentioned demon blood. An instinct told her that something was off, something was wrong... but she pushed it down, and wrote it off as nerves, stemming from the new situation. It would all be okay in the end, she was sure. They were only here to deliver a message, after all.
As she was thinking those thoughts, servants came out of the kitchen doors, carrying a large platter full of food. "Ah, here it is," Cecile spoke. She looked towards Tenie as the servants put the food in the table. "Please, sit and eat. We can discuss the other half of the message afterwards."
Tenere shook his head. "Whether you have demon blood doesn't matter. I've met humans who are more monstrous than demons. I've waited a bit longer than I would have hoped, but some things can not be prevented." Whether it was the Queen's persistence to keep the Prophet hidden of the conqueror's to find the young man, but one had to prevail. Food came, and Tenere's eyes turned to the Queen as she encouraged them to focus on the meal rather than business, of which she seemed to be more interested in before he approached Kai. "Very well," He straightened himself before turning and heading for the opposite head of the table instead of his previous seat. "If you're so inclined to hold off business, so be it. I have all the time in the world now."
Cerise watched the blonde as he stood and walked to Kai, blinking when he casually mentioned that the Prophet had told of his death. This was the man she was set to kill. A thin, blonde man with three bodyguards and a silver tongue. She sighed softly and brushed her hair from her eyes. Maybe killing him would be easy after all. She shifted in her seat as the food came out, watching the man head for his seat once again while a small smile spread across her lips.
"So you're the Conqueror. I wouldn't have guessed that. You seem a bit refined for someone who has so many countries under his thumb. I was expecting to do battle with a madman, honestly." Cerise gave the man her best and sweetest smile, then turned to her plate as it was set in front of her. She didn't have to call herself Hero just yet. That could still wait. She glanced down to her Queen, hoping she hadn't pushed any wrong buttons, then turned back to Tenere as a servant poured a glass of wine for her. "Don't take that the wrong way, please. I meant it as a compliment. When I heard the prophecy, I was truly expecting someone more.....what's the word.....unhinged. Will be a shame to hurt you. Unless you're looking for a way to end this peacefully?"
Cerise cocked an eyebrow at Tenere, curious if he would pick up on her little hints or if he even recognized her. He hadn't seemed to as of yet, no doubt the lack of armor to blame, and it made her feel a bit more at ease. Made her tongue a little looser as well. She kept up the sweet smile regardless. Easier to play up being a lady than a Knight at the moment after her debacle in the throne room.
The nest to speak up was the maiden who entered, friendly enough with the Queen to be on a named basis. Her name was the same as the hero's, and her face matched the one that was eager to end him in the throne room. "Assumptions lead to many misunderstandings and unfortunate situations." he eyed Rosie at the end, remembering her allies' unfortunate fate when attempting to kill him for coin. "But there was in fact a time where I could have been considered a barbarian, though those days have long since passed, and are far away. Some have considered me a demon, and in many cases it would be rather fitting young lady." He picked up the knife laid out, turning it in one hand. "In this case however, your threats are indeed hollow dear hero. You won't be killing me, and you can certainly try to harm me, I would welcome the challenge... But that wouldn't be civil now would it?" He turned the blade down, resting it on the plate in front of him. "I'm sure my companions would be disappointed in me, even irritated at such an act." He looked over at Seonu with a sly smile before looking back at the hero.
Kai looked at Tenere and smiled a bit "I'm not saying demons are monsters, many other races have members just as violent or even more violent than some members of the demon race." Kai spoke calmly before Tenere went and took his seat. Taking a bite out of his food, Kai smiled to himself the food tasting wonderful. Lyn kept her focus on the prophet a bit confused as to how calm Kai had stayed when the conqueror had been so close to him. Despite that, the interact between the two seemed to end rather quickly as the man went and took the seat at the end of the table.
Robin smirked a bit as tensions seemed to rise, the hero wanting to apparently turn this into a fight. Despite the number disadvantage, Robin still had a pretty good feeling that they could keep the fight at a standstill. With the prophet and the Queen in the room, all their group would really have to do is catch one as a hostage. His gaze turned back onto the young seer who didn't seem to have a care in the world at the moment. Seriously, what is wrong with that kid? A fight could literally break out any moment now and he seems completely unaware of the tension building up in the room.
"Ceri, you should try this food! It's so tasty!" Kai spoke cheerfully looking at the Lady Knight with a smile. Then his gaze shifted onto Tenere "So, what do you want to talk about?" Kai asked curiously.
She hadn't heard him. When he had leaned over to speak to Kai, she hadn't heard his words. Could he truly be the conqueror? Cecile looked at him, observing him, and than looked at Cerise, her face grave. This could be seen as a good sign- he was here, on their own turf, which made him easier to fight. And since he did in fact come, the prophecy was continuing smoothly. But it also meant that the conqueror was at her table, which was a bad thing. Oh, to have such a villain in the room! It was almost sickening.
She looked at Tenie once more, twirling the knife in his hand. Her eyes, normally so warm, turned cold. "So then. What was the real purpose of coming here? To make a fool of me?" She asked. "To try to attack me in my own home?"
She looked to Kai, and withheld a sigh. Why, oh why couldn't he have told her that Tenie was the prophet? And he wasn't even bothered! Normally this behavior was amusing, but now? Not so much. She looked to Lynette. "Escort Kai to his quarters, make sure he is protected and guarded. Take some guards with you on the way." She would not have Kai near the conqueror.
The man's smile dropped away at the queen's presumptions. "Not at all, you can stop concerning yourself over fighting. Was pulling my army away and entering into discussion not enough to calm your nerves? I have not lied to you at all. I came here to deliver a message to you, and through that enter a dialogue with you. We were willing enough to leave our weapons in your hands." So far, the only calm ones appeared to be the Conqueror himself and the Prophet, although he appeared more innocent than calm. "I feel as though we've progressed into the wrong trail... Let's start over." He gave a sigh, sitting back into the chair with his arms folded over one another in his lap as he looks across to the queen with a calm face. "Greetings. I am Tenere Oroko, previous Conqueror and new Emperor of the nation that shall now be the neighbor of Rumala. I hope our two civilizations will prosper with one another into the future."
Cecile withheld a frown as Tenere spoke. He might've withdrew his armies, and left his weapons, but she wouldn't trust him if her life depended on it. She had known the rulers of those kingdoms he'd conquered. They were all good people, taken down by the conquerors armies. But for the welfare of her kingdom, and the possibility of a truce at hand, Cecile would listen to his words. "Alright. If you truly wish to avoid any chance of conflict, I shall hear your words," she said, her face still cold. At his little reintroduction, she let out a small sigh. "Well then, I hope so as well." Truth be told, she was very unhappy about the idea of having a large neighboring kingdom with a man known to be violent as its ruler- but who wouldn't be? It didn't help that the new kingdom was now one of Ruma's only trading partners. Ruma would have to rely on that nation for many things, which could be very bad. Cecile only hoped for the prophecy to be true.
Cerise took small bites of her food as Queen Cecile and Tenere went back and forth, leaving his challenge on the table. She wouldn't rise to it unless they had swords in hand and were ready for death. Maybe she'd read into the prophecy wrong. Maybe one didn't have to die. Only had to overcome the other. In some way. She gave a smile to Kai, showing her agreement with him that the food was tasty, then covertly glanced about the table at Tenere's entourage.
They seemed a stalwart few, to her. Loyal and attentive, and strong. Even without weapons or words, she could feel their strength. They didn't intimidate her, but she couldn't quite feel respect just yet. Her eyes roaved to Lynette out of habit, just to check, and she gave the woman a small smile. Putting up with Kai all the time took its toll, but she managed it well. Cerise let her eyes drop to her Queen then move back to Tenere again, curious if he would truly just be their neighbor. If he was content with that. She chewed a piece of lamb as she studied him, then leaned back in her seat with a thoughtful frown on her lips. Cerises eyes moved back to her Queen, frown still in place, and she raised an eyebrow at the woman, wondering how long her cold attitude would last.
((OOC: I dunno what to make her do. Sorry for poopy post.))

Also, can you please try not to define the world of the RP?))
"Honestly, I'm a little appalled how much you and your people are seeing me as some sort of demonstrous demon. I am no warlord who simply wishes to take everything to increase my wealth and power. Where I come from, wealth is useless and power only represents how well you can survive." He was beginning to get irritated at the country's stubbornness in his public image. "I think I should reveal a little light on the subject, if it would ease your conscious. When I collected my people under my rule, we changed from that of a nomadic life of simple upkeep to a prosperous one. To enter the details is to tell my life story, a burden I will not place upon you. I came to power legitimately, although nothing like your nations that keep lineage as its process of successors, and did so with each place I came to as I began to expand slowly."
"I did not spend decades of my life working to build a barbarous, empty nation that had nothing of value to provide to its residents. From the east I've brought exotic trade goods, from the south I've brought education, from the north I've brought hardier tools and building techniques. To all I've brought a nation they needed which stood without definitive borders until last night. Rumala is no stranger to aggressive expansion as I have learned from your history, so viewing my empire's progress as barbarous or distasteful would be hypocritical. While your eyes tell me of your dissent for me, I am sorry to tell you that we will be in relations with one another. I hope that you will come to think of me as a friend, as I have already come to think of you and of yours despite our initial personal encounter." He looked to the others sitting, ending his eyes on the Prohpet, the only one showing joy, and smiled in response.
As the Queen asked Lynette to escort Kai back to his quarters, Lyn gave a small nod before going over to the young seers side. "Come on Kai." she spoke softly to the child who was staring up at the hanging light above the table. The red falcon glanced back down at Kai, their eyes locking onto one another and after a moment the falcon tilted it's head a bit to the side and let out a little caw. No one but Kai would be able to hear or see the creature above the dinning table.
Robin's gaze trailed over to the prophet once more as one of the knights wandered over to him after the Queen asked for an escort for the prophet. He'd heard about how the prophet's often had personal guards, and by the look of it, this Lynette was the current guard. She'd come in with him and know was asked to return with him to his quarters, so unless the actual guard was sick or something, Lynette would be his adversary for when he went after the prophet. Noting Kai looking up towards the ceiling, curiosity got the better of Robin who looked up, only to see the hanging light dangling above the table. After a moment, Robin's gaze returned to the seer who kept his eyes on the lights. Odd Robin thought to himself before turning his attention onto the conqueror who was speaking.
The notion of Kai leaving seemed to be dropped as the Queen turned her attention back onto the the conversation with the conqueror. After another few moments, Kai's attention turned back onto his food as he took another bite, apparently not having heard the words of the Queen and Lyn about him leaving the room. Lyn looked over to the Queen questioningly, did she still want her to take Kai back to his quarters? It may seem as though they were trying to remove him should a fight break out. Kai's attention drifted onto Tenere who's sights soon came to meet his own, a smile coming to the man's face. Kai smiled back happily.
