Michiko's perked up on the sound of poison types. She may like water types but she is an aspiring scientist and that there might be poison types here, to study, she couldn't help but grin.

"If there are poison types, I would love to study them. Especially how they live and develop in this volcanic area." She didn't bother to comment on what the Captain said. Of course there is water, but she wanted to know like...the isolated spots. It is a sure bet that there maybe water types gathered there for refuge.

[Lexxie, Not keeping the Rufflet, Hot Springs]

As soon as Lexxie and Makoto arrived in the Hot Springs, she smiled. Yeah it was hot, but the place was abundant with natural hot springs, foliage and, of course, pokemon.

On her way here, she saw a Rufflet in the trees and made a note of it in her pokedex.

As for Makoto...she went and waded in the Hot Springs. //Ah!!! This is the best!// Lexxie smiled as she took out a towel from her bag. As much as she wanted to take a dip herself, she's working.

She went to sit down on the ground and watched Makoto and the surrounding area. She is pretty sure plenty of pokemon come to this Hot Spring.

"I find it a little strange, thinking of you on a ranch," Zevran admitted with a chuckle as Abel reigned in Elizabeth. "Did you have a straw hat?"

Ahh, but here they were! Zevran stood still simply taking in the vista for some moments before indicating an area a short distance away to Abel. "Shall we go over there?" He suggested. "It looks as though there's a nice pool and we could put our bags on the rock by the edge." He didn't really think anyone would run off with his bag if it were further away... but still, he had few possessions and so he took good care of what he did have.

Kat laughed as the bird used its feet to clamber up her hair and on top of her head. "Comfy up there?" She questioned, reaching up to stroke under a wing, getting a chirp in answer.

"What do you think Kara?" She questioned, looking down at the little cubone.

Kara snorted and pointed to the left.

"What? Ooh!" That was a Growlithe! Hello fire puppy, come to mama. "Hello, there," she said soothingly, pulling out her pokedex to snap a picture. She then went for her phone. "Want to come out and let me see more of you?"

[Abel, hot springs]

A grin lit up his face and he chuckled a bit. "Why is it strange? And I did as a kid, courtesy of my mom of course. She'd always get hats for all of us to stop us from getting sunburn - though that only helped if we actually wore them," he added with a shrug.

The area Zevran pointed to looked good to him, so the blond nodded his head with an easy "sure" before he headed over in that direction. Upon closer inspection, it did look like a nicely sized pool and off to one side, away from the others. Isaac immediately trotted past the pair of humans and hopped into the pool first to find a good spot to curl up in. As Zevran had suggested, Abel knelt down by the rocks near the pool to deposit his bag before he opened it up to rummage through it. "I dunno about you but I only brought stuff to change into, I didn't wear it here. Sonia can you help me out for a minute?" The dark-type quickly stepped to her trainer's side and in a split second, the blond disappeared behind an illusion. "Am I good? Thanks." Once assured of his temporary invisibility, Abel set about changing from the clothes he wore on the way there into his plain dark blue swim trunks. It took but a moment to change, and after he'd stuffed his clothes into his bag he reached a hand out to pat Sonia on the head and said, "I'm good now, thanks girl." Sonia made a pleased noise as her illusion rippled and faded away to reveal her trainer once more. He was still kneeling by his bag to finish zipping it up, but as he did so he glanced up at Zevran, "D'you need to change too or are you good?"

Tabitha and Vanessa had found a smaller pool right close by their trainer's, and after a great deal of hesitation on the latter's part and some coaxing on the former's part, the Lopunny slowly stuck one foot into the pool with immense trepidation. A few seconds passed during which she realized that the water was actually pleasantly warm and that no, it wasn't hurting her, so Vanessa slipped into the pool more fully, her lengthy ears draped along the rock behind her to keep them from getting wet. Pleased with this development, Tabitha settled down outside the pool and laid down on the warm rock beside the Lopunny. She could get in too, of course, but she didn't have any desire to soak her wool.

Elizabeth made a pleased, guttural noise when she spotted a hunk of pumice on the ground. She stopped to pick it up and immediately shove it in her jaws, proceeding to chew on it as she continued trotting into a particularly large lava tube. Caleb huffed and ignored her, instead opting to head into a lava tube a bit further away. He merely wanted a nice, warm spot to curl up and nap in, but the Charmeleon was eagerly exploring the tube, her bright eyes darting around it as the light from her tail flame bounced off the uneven surface.

[Alice, tourist village shop]

Excited not only by the prospect of another trip to another island off Kodo's shores, but also by the fact that Captain Whittard would be leading it, Alice knew immediately that she had to go. The boat ride over had been spent as close to Captain Whittard as possible, and she made sure to thank him for the trip and say good-bye before immediately heading off into the island proper. With a map in one hand and one of Cassandra's ribbons curled around her other hand, the young woman and her fairy-type eagerly trotted into the village, set on beginning their trip there. Maybe one of the locals could direct them to the best place to look at all the scenery? Alice suspected a good place to start would be the ridge, and maybe she'd go there, although really she wanted to check out the whole island, if possible.

Once they entered the tiny village - it was so cute! - they immediately homed in on the shop and made a beeline for it, and as they entered Alice put her map away and readjusted the straw hat on her head so it wouldn't interfere with her view of the shop's interior. What kinds of things would they have for sale here?

[Seraphine, hot springs]

Once she'd gotten off the boat and a good distance away, the brunette paused a moment to let out her assortment of pokemon. Anastasia and Giselle were already out and with her, of course, but Isabella, Jacques and Luna were not. Neither was Jasmine, but Sera kept the Vaporeon in her ball for the time being. Forgoing the little village and the ridge, Sera and her pokemon headed along a short path through the forest that took them up to the hot spring. Ah, there were people here already... Not that she could see them too well, but still, they were there and she'd come here for a relaxing day with her pokemon, not a day with her pokemon with other people bothering her.

With that thought in mind, Sera turned on her heel and headed towards a secluded spot as far away from other people as possible. The closer she got to the pool of water, the more she could feel the warmth already - or maybe that was all the steam, but whatever - and once she got there she dropped her bag, pulled out Jasmine's ball to release the water-type, then pulled off her sundress, adjusted her swim suit a bit, and slipped into the warm water of the spring. Anya hopped in beside her trainer, while her other pokemon curled up nearby on the warm rocks. Jasmine huffed and moved away from the group to curl up in her own spring all by herself.

Jasmine's antisocial behavior was perfectly fine with the brunette - she couldn't stand her mother's Vaporeon, anyway - so she ignored her for now and instead moved around the pool to find a good spot to settle in, her pale gaze focused on the warm waters to see if she could locate a good section of rock to sit on at a suitable height.

Alice at the Tourist Shop meet Jon

The fan, complete with paper streamers from a year long gone, and a matte grey colour, likely once popular in the 80s or 90s creaked and grumbled and spat air almost spitefully across the shop, doing little to actually cool the place.

A large man in a colourful shirt and tan trousers, wearing a necklace full of plastic fobs and keys, flip-up sunglasses and flip flops seemed to materialize from a shadowy void obscured by long strips of a colourful fly screen.

Bald but for two 'horns' of untidy black hair on either side of his head, the man was grinning with a full set of pearly white teeth on display, eyes alight with opportunity as much as welcome.

"HALLO HALLO! SO THE BOAT IS HERE?! You are first to my humble store though, young lady! Good taste, such good taste! You are here to buy of our QUALITY souvenirs of course, of COURSE?! Sunglasses? Keychains? Novelty towels? Or perhaps something more," he paused for effect before gesturing toward some strange, very crudely done, shell paintings of what might have been pokémon if one squinted "CULTURED?!"

[Alice, tourist shop]

Alice turned when the shop keeper appeared from almost no where, but she didn't think much of it and smiled brightly at him. "Yes, it's here!" She confirmed cheerily, and her gaze swept across the shop as he mentioned his wares, though she halted at the shell paintings. "Oh! That's such a wonderful idea," she said, gold eyes practically shining as she hastened over to the painted shells. Cassandra followed her trainer, not looking nearly as excited. The 'paintings' looked like they'd been finger painted by a child - or so the Sylveon thought, anyway - and she sincerely hoped Alice wouldn't buy any of them.

Fortunately for Cassie, Alice wasn't interested in the painted shells themselves so much as the idea. Already she could see herself finding large shells and painting beach scenes or seascapes on them, or... "Oh," she said when she felt her Sylveon tug at her wrist to pry her attention away from her daydreaming and back to the present, and Alice turned to the man eagerly. "Do you sell plain, unpainted shells? Can they be found on the beach? Oh! Do you have anything for pokemon too?"

Jon's eyes widened and 'lit up' further as Alice seemed to compliment the shells.
"Ah! You like the shells, YES? PLAIN?" Instead of seeming deflated by this seeming rejection, the man kept going "WHY OF COURSE! They are so tricky to find on the beach! YES THEY ARE! But I sell the BEST sells so so cheap! Of course we have things for pokémon! Are you in need of the FINEST hats? The best TREATS? Or perhaps you are wanting," He gestured toward a shelf which clearly had children's shirts on it "specially made POKÉMON fashion!"

[Sera, hot springs; not keeping Luvdisc]

As the brunette crossed the spring, a flash of pink caught her eye. What was-- Oh, it was just a Luvdisc. Cute and harmless. Ignoring it for now - it seemed to be ignoring her too - Sera plopped herself down on a smooth rocky section in the pool and practically melted against the wall as she relaxed. "Hot springs are wonderful, aren't they?" She asked aloud, and Anya eagerly settled down beside her trainer with an "eon!" of agreement. Her other pokemon didn't respond, but were enjoying themselves nonetheless. Jacques flopped down on the warm rock beside the spring and tracked the Luvdisc's leisurely path through the water, while Isabella's gaze drifted around the bottom of the pool, noting the lava tube holes of varying sizes. Someone had to keep an eye out, after all, if anything else decided to swim through. Her trainer didn't need to lose another limb.
