Gianna had glanced down as she worked to travel to the forest at a fast pace. She went over the town and the many districts that it held. At some point, a sight caught her eye. More like someone following her. It was someone she recognized from the city guard. That was perfect. At this point, she needed all the help she could get. Gianna hoped that he would continue to follow close by as she moved. When she reached the entrance of the Eoana forest, she landed and took a deep breath. Her blue eyes glanced around at the area as she furrowed her brows. It was only right that she lost sight Rin. Seeing as she wasn’t at her normal state, it caused her to be a bit more on the slow side. The last thing she wanted to do was run in there with no clue where to go or where they might be. Guessing would just take up more time, and time wasn’t something she had.

Crouching down, she saw various tracks leading into the forest. Reaching out to touch them, also allowed her to feel the vibrations from the ground. She felt the movement of many beings. That was enough of a clue to aid her in finding them. With that boost, she began to run in the forest and maneuver her way through the various number of trees and other plant life. The blonde looked down to see the tracks on the ground get a bit messier. She could only assume that Gin had charged in frantically. A sound nearby caused her to pause. She assumed it was the gentleman that was following her until she looked up. Birds were flying above, put a particular one caught her attention. Pausing, she ran in that direction at a slower pace and began to search. As expected, the elementor’s eyes rested on the person she had hoped to see. Utilizing the forest floor, she allowed it to shoot herself toward the man.

Before she could crash into the other male, she used her raiment to stop herself and land gracefully. ”Gannon! Oh, thank goodness, I don’t know what’s going on but Gin ran out of the house this morning. He told me he would talk to me ‘if he got out of this’, then proceeded to shift and run out. I don’t know what he was talking about, but I’m so worried. I’ve been such a mess, I don’t know how much more I can take….” She let out a shaky breath and ran a hand through her blonde locks. ”To make matters worse, Rin followed him right after. But there’s something odd about this…I need your help in finding them. I know you probably would be better at finding them in the state that I’m in…”

    Aldaine De’Fraye

Aldaine had continued tor follow the blonde-haired woman for quite a while. He was lucky he had picked up hair scent, in case he somehow lost sight of her. Thankfully though, he managed to maintain a view on her until she led him to, Eoana Forest of all places. It was then, he lost sight of her, assuming she had run into the forest by herself. Stopping briefly, Aldaine thought to himself. He didn’t like this, students were given strict orders not to enter the forest and Aldaine had never forgotten what he heard among the gossip of the guards, that there was a murderer lurking somewhere amidst the shadows of these dense woods. However, he needed to enter regardless. If those student from before had run in there as well as that woman, then they were in serious danger. Staying in his jaguar form, he advanced into the forest. He’d need to be on his guard, something was telling him that there was something seriously wrong here.

Having the woman’s scent made it relatively simple for Aldaine to locate her. Despite the fact he had a myriad of other senses surrounding him, such as the alluring flowers, damp moss and freshly fallen autumn leaves, he managed to focus on hers, leading him to find the woman, standing beside a mage. Wait, the jaguar had seen him somewhere before. He was the court mage at the academy, what was his name…Gannon, wasn’t?
Jumping up to the two, he then shifted back into his human form. Approaching the two he spoke “You there, what’s going on here?” He may have sounded stern, but time was of the essence, and he needed to find out all that he could.

Rin watched her older sibling, he almost seemed confused. She could tell even from her fair distance that he was trying to track somebody... But somehow lost their tracks? Raising her head Rin would smell the air, trying to narrow down what he could be after so she would have a reason to confront him and help. But there was no clear route from any source of smell that she could recognise. What on earth is go... Wait. The husky sniffed again, it was hard to distinguish... But Rin was picking someone up. It almost smells like... That girl... What was her name... Arya? Tanya? Gah, SOMETHING-ya! It was something along those lines. What was she doing here?

Before she could try to focus on the scent, seemed Gin had already done so and was rushing off, signaling the younger canine's time to follow after him, returning her focus to her brothers and his scent. He seemed so intensely focused, whatever that other Shifter was doing, it must be REALLY bad! What the hell did they do?? Rin continued weaving through the trees, ready to cut line of sight yet again if she has to. Hopefully... He wont stop and notice her presence before Rin can get her answers.

Used to the forest terrain, Gannon had no issues when it came to running through the trees. He easily avoided the tangling roots and the felled trunks. Occasionally, he had to duck to avoid getting hit in the face by a low hanging branch, but all in all he was moving at a good speed. The chattering animals were happy to guide him and he trusted them to lead him to the right place.

But as Gannon went deeper into the forest, a rumbling caught his attention. Coming to a halting, skidded stop, he looked up to see Gia land, literally, right next to him. She looked as frantic as he felt, and he hand to wonder what she was doing here. Before he could even ask, she was explaining everything.
Eyes going a bit wide, Gannon knew that his suspicions regarding a possible vision were true – Gin had witnessed something terrible and he was trying to prevent it.

“It will be alright Gia, I am being led to him as we speak. Come with me, we’ll handle this together.” Before anything else could be said in reassurance however, a city guard approached them, demanding answers of his own. Gannon had half a mind to put the man in his place - This was no time for long winded explanations!

“Clearly we have a crisis on our hands! Now you can either follow along to assist or you can go back to the barracks and notify Captain Reynard! But in the meantime, I wont waste another second on explanations.” That being said, Gannon looked to Gia and gave her a quick nod before he was running again, following his guides toward where Thanya, Gin, Rin and Sokea were all about to congregate… Little did he know the danger they were all placing themselves in.

Thanya reclined on a tree branch rubbing her stomach in a post-feasting daze. With her animal instincts finally sated, Thanya began to consider what her next steps would be. It occurred to her she wasn't entirely sure where she was or how she was going to get back home. But those worrying thoughts were quickly pushed aside when she noticed a strange humming sound. In fact it was the only sound she could hear with the forest suddenly becoming oddly quiet.

Thanya climbed along the tree to the source of the noise and to her amazement saw a pulsing blue light shine out from with the bark of the tree. Now, Thanya had never seen anything like this before--her closest experience being seeing the lights her teacher had conjured in her spells class. Curious, Thanya shifted her hands into claws and began to dig at the vines and bark. As she dug away at the tree, she saw that the pulsing light was coming from some sort of object. It took some time and concerted effort but Thanya was finally able to get the object clear enough where she felt she could yank it free. Grasping it tightly in her two hands she gave the object one final tug, breaking it free from its wooden prison. She had no idea what this object could be, but perhaps if she took it to Q'ara she would have an idea. For some reason the light seemed to be getting more intense...

While Gin’s animal instincts were telling him to run away from the area he was quickly approaching, he knew that he needed to keep rushing forward. This part of the forest was eerily quiet – there were no birds calling, no small critters scampering – the buzzing of insects was even absent. Gin knew that he was close and sure enough, the tree was just ahead!

Putting on a burst of speed, his paws dug into the earth as he raced headlong toward the one place he shouldn’t. The closer he came to the tree, the more he saw – the ripe, red fruit, the leaves bursting with green life, and the small, humanoid form of Thanya – who was digging at something in the crevasse of the tree!

Shifting back into this humanoid form, Gin continued his race to the tree. “THANYA! STOP!” He shouted even as he jumped at the trunk and scrambled to climb up to reach her. But the girl, either headless of his shouts or too focused on her task, did not stop. Just as he reached her, Thanya took the item into her hand, the thing pulsing blue with an eerie light. Catching sight of the same items from his vision, a chill of pure dread rolled down his spine.

Before Thanya could do anything more to the object, Gin reached her side. Wrapping one arm around her, he used the other to force the object from her hands. Deaf to any objection she might have, Gin wrapped his arms around her and jumped from the tree. The landing wasn’t the most graceful, or the most comfortable – it was jarring to say the least – but even as pain radiated up his legs from the impact, Gin didn’t let Thanya go and he didn’t stop running. Carrying her close against his chest, like a parent would guard their child, Gin didn’t look back as he attempted to put as much distance between them and the tree as he could before it was too late…

Pulsing slowly at first as the shifter girl dug into the bark, the eerie silence spread slightly and deepened, even causing the very sounds of her claws digging into the bark to dissipate and go silent. When she grasped the item in the tree, it started to pulse faster as its energy started to well, and on the final tug that loosened it free, the pulsing stopped altogether as the glow was now steady and illuminating greatly. It's light billowed from a soft glow to a bright light and continued to brighten harder and deeper right up to the point that a second shifter appeared and knocked it out of the girl's hands. Jumping from the tree, the male shifter quickly dropped to the ground below and ran as fast as he could with the girl in his arms. In those moments, the item fell downwards towards the base of the tree, bouncing and teetering through the branches as the light emanating off of the item shifted from bright to blinding. Then came the moment the male shifter was dreading. It was at the very moment that the item hit the ground with a large thud that the silence overtook everything, even the huffed pants of the shifter and everyone in the area who was running about went silent, and a pulse of energy burst out of the item in a column of light that exploded thousands of feet into the air and expanded from the point where it landed at a great rate of speed, engulfing everything in its path.

As the male shifter ran from the location, the light nearly caught up to him before it's expansion slowed and progressively stopped, filling and absorbing only a few hundred square feet of space away from the original tree where it landed. The explosion coming off of the tree and shooting into the skies was so bright, that the light billowing off of it would sear into the eyes of anyone within proximity of the blast, causing them to see nothing but white light and effectively blinding them for a short while until their eyes could naturally heal themselves from the damage. The light shot forth into the air for nearly a minute before finally dissipating and what was left in the midst of the illuminated explosion would baffle anyone who saw it. When the light dissipated, the area all around the tree was completely different, and the trees and grass and everything around it looked completely distorted and changed.

Some trees were whole but had branches that looked dead, others seemed to be on the verge of dying and falling, but with branches that looked completely healthy and full of life. Some branches had fruit that was completely rotted, while just a few feet away more of the same fruit was completely ripened and perfectly primed for the picking, all on the same branches! The grass was dead in some patches, while in others, the grass had overgrown and was swaying in the wind. Everything looked completely unnatural, as if the forest had become vibrant, and yet decayed all the same. Twisted, yet strong, vibrant, yet dying. The entire section of forest that the illuminated explosion touched seemed to have been warped and displaced, an eerie scene to say the least. At the base of what looked like a completely dead tree, the same tree that the girl shifter had just been eating deliciously plump and ripe apples from, laid the strange item, completely quiet, dark, unmoving, and unresponsive.

    Aldaine De’Fraye

Aldaine listened intently to the court mage. While he didn’t get an answer, but Gannon’s rushed, and panicked tone was enough to fill the jaguar in that something serious was happening. Aldaine was well aware that the title of Court Mage demanded authority and respect, but at the same time, when lives where at stake, the jaguar shifter didn’t give a s**t about internal politics. As far as he was concerned, lives came first. In any case, he was relieved he had found the two, the help of the court mage would be a great asset in this particular situation. Meeting eye-to-eye with Gannon, Aldaine spoke, “Very well, Sir. I’ll follow your lead.” Aldaine gave a quick look and nod to Gia before following the two deeper into the forest.

Aldaine suspected they’d come across the students sooner or later, after all, he could smell them. However, his thoughts where interrupted as he heard screaming in the distance. His ears shooting up and turning to the direction of the sound at the speed of lightening, he spoke loudly “I hear screaming, coming from over there!” As soon as he’d spoken, he’d ran off in the direction of the loud yells and commotion. It was the student, Aldaine was positive, the trail was littered with the youngster’s canine scent. However, just as he thought he was getting closer, everything went silent. Aldaine found himself pausing, as if on instinct with no though to his actions. It was as if he had gone deaf in a matter of seconds as he found himself bewildered at the forests utter and complete lack of sound. No passing of the wind, no bristling of the leaves, no chirping of the birds or croaking of the frogs.

It was then, Aldaine noticed a blue light, that instantaneously grew brighter within seconds of making eye contact with it. It was then the light had plus brightly into a, literal, blindly white, causing Aldaine to clasp his hand over his single eye, losing his footing in the process.

After a while had passed, the ambience of the forest had gradually made its way back into existence. The jaguar shifter found himself kneeling on the ground. Opening his eye, he noticed his vision had gone completely blurred and fuzzy. Perfect, this was exactly what he needed. While, admittedly, he was complete baffled, dumbfounded, and shaken by the experience on the inside, he managed to keep his composure. He still had his sense of hearing, touch and smell so it wasn’t all bad. Aldaine managed to get to his feet, and, continuing to follow the scent, he made his advance, slowly and carefully, making sure to use his hand and feet to feel out the path. Anyone would probably think he was an idiot for doing so, but he couldn’t have given less of a s**t about what anyone else thought at this point. Whatever had caused that blast of light, it wasn’t good, at least in the jaguar’s book. He had to make sure the students were ok…he refused to let anyone else die if he could help it…he’s already failed at saving, her, the least he could do was try and save others, to prevent further meaningless losses of life.

So, the Jaguar advanced forward as best he could, praying to whatever damned God that would listen that it wasn’t too late…

Finally... After so much sprinting and cautious shifting through the terrain, Gin had reached his target. Rin stopped nearby and hid behind a tree where she would shift into her human form, her breathing only slightly heavy from the prolonged running... Lucky for her, long-winded sprints were not too big of a problem. She watched the scene as it took place... That girl sitting on top of a large tree, seemingly clawing into the large natural chunk of wood for something. Thanya... Hearing Gin call out to the girl, that answered one question... Little did she know she was about to get an answer for another question. Thanya appeared to have found something that glowed rather beautifully, the light it emitted pulsed periodically at first and steadily sped up in that girls hands. When Gin smacked the object away from the other Shifter and dragged her away from the tree, Rin took that as a hint and started to back away in a similar direction to her brother, but her gaze remained on the object... What followed was too fast for her to even react to.

A large, blinding light burst forth from the object, if Rin hadn't started moving she would have been caught in the strange light. It was like an explosion, yet there was no sound... Just a huge orb of white, so bright that Rin couldn't do anything but scream as her eyes were exposed to it's blinding light, though briefly as instinct had her shut her stare and turn back. "A... Gahh!!" Her voice echoed faintly through the forest, followed by the rustling of the foliage beneath her as she tripped, falling to the ground and letting another, louder sound of the leaves from her impact.

She could only lay there and curl up with her hands over her eyes as she felt a burning sensation from them. Whenever Rin tried to open them, all that followed was an intense blur, everything in her sight would merely be coloured blots which she could barely differentiate from the almost pure whiteness... "Wha... I ah.. Why can't I..." Her voice was shaken, the Shifter couldn't even form a sentence, too confused by whatever had just happened... Unsure how long her vision would be like this, Catherine would crawl across the ground slowly, trying to feel where she is.

Sokea was sprinting at this point, only to find himself causing his body to fatigue at a higher rate. Being small, Sokea was a decent runner; however, running for long periods of time were not his... strongest suit. He knew his legs would give out if he continued running at this rate. He took a brief moment to stop and lean against a tree, and switched to Gin's point of view. Still, his determined running continued. Sokea's hands began to tremble, the sheer uncertainty of what Gin was doing somehow caused Sokea a panic in him he never knew existed. Staying calm and collected was a strong attribute of his, but this situation? The boy he loves is behaving in a frantic manner without a shred of context. Sokea continued to examine Gin's surroundings. Sokea proceeded in a jog at this time, running towards the shifter's direction, eyes still peering through his love's point of view.

It wasn't long now till Gin finally reached what caused his panic. There was a girl sitting in a tree, digging into it somehow, then pulled something out. Gin switched into human form, which was extremely disorienting in the moment, causing a sensation through Sokea that one would describe as motion sickness. After a few seconds, it went away. He continued to look through the shifter's eyes to try to understand further. Sokea was aware of the direction he was in, but he froze. He knew full well he shouldn't follow at this moment. Gin went up and pull a young shifter girl away from whatever object she took from the tree, then immediately running away from said object. This was a cue for Sokea to start running too. Sokea switched to his own perspective once more, and bolted in the same direction Gin was running. It wasn't long till there were dark and massive shadows cast in front of him. Whatever happened behind them, it caused an extremely bright light to occur. There was no time to ponder that now. Sokea was heading in Gin's exact direction now. Sokea needed to know what in the hell just happened.

It seemed that Gannon shared a similar worry, it became even more evident as Gianna explained the situation to him. Of course, he would know what went on in the forest, especially after all that happened, he had to have been notified of some commotion. It greatly relieved Gianna to hear that the male would help her in such a desperate time. ”Oh thank you, Gannon. I will follow where you go.” They were halted by the man who had been following her. Turning her head, Gia gazed at him and narrowed her eyes a bit. She knew he was doing his job, but with her kids in danger, she didn’t really give too much of a damn. Luckily, Gannon answered for her, taking some of the words right out of her mouth. She had a more colorful selection of words. Stress, worry, and panic were not a good combination whatsoever. Especially when the time was so little.

The trio began making their way through the forest, the female on high alert and guard at all times. At the mention of screaming, Gianna shot her head toward the direction that Aldaine was running toward. Using the forest floor, she manipulated it to push her at a fast speed as a way to keep up with the guard as best as she could. The atmosphere seemed to get increasingly eerie as they proceed swiftly through the forest. A bright light had come into view as Gianna yelped and stomped her foot, creating stone walls in front of her, Aldaine, and Gannon. The light had caused her vision to become blurred and unfocused. Holding her head, she tried blinking to get it back normal, but colored blots and white and black were the main things that she could make out. Whatever had happened, made everyone nearby stunned. All she could think about was if Gin, Rin, and everyone else was alright.

The closer they came toward their destination the more ill at ease Gannon became. Slowly, the creatures that were guiding him, the timider of them, began to hang back or abandon the journey all together. Eventually, even the bravest guides ran off, apologizing for abandoning Gannon in his time of need. They gave no explanation other than an ‘eerie’ presence ahead.

<<’Brageet, we’re getting close…Use caution.’ He said to Brageet through their link as she flew above.

<<’Yes, I can see an apple tree far below!’ Brageet said with excitement and concern. <<’Gannon! I see Gin! He’s-‘>>

At that moment Aldaine shouted and ran ahead, despite any possible danger. “No! Wait!” Acting on instinct, Gannon ran after the guard only to have Gianna follow him. <<’Gannon, something’s happening!’ They didn’t make it more than a hundred feet before the unthinkable happened – a blinding white light flashed before all of them. Crying out, Gannon immediately closed his eyes, ducked his head and shielded his face with his arms, but it was too late – the damage had been done.

It was only when he heard Brageet’s cries of pain that he realized with dawning horror what had happened. <<”BRAGEET!!!”>> Gannon shouted both physically and through their link. <<’Gannon…’>> Brageet’s mind voice, usually strong and full of confidence was small and full of fear. Turning his face toward the sky, he opened his eyes but all he saw were flashes of color and vague shapes.

<<’It’s alright! Just hover in the air keep flapping your wings, love…’>> He said frantically, his heart clenching in his chest. But it was too late, overhead, he heard the cracking of branches and Brageet’s cries of pain as she fell through the tree. Heedless of any danger, Gannon moved toward the sound, side swiping and running into trees and other obsticles as she tried to find Brageet. <<’Brageet! Tell me where you are….! Please, make a sound…any sound…’>>

Brageet’s soft chirps of pain ripped his heart in two but gave him hope as well – she was alive.

<<’Gannon…I can’t…my wings…’>> The pain in her voice and the agony in her chirps brought tears to his eyes. It took him a few minutes, but his vision began to clear, and he finally found her.

Going to his knees beside her, Gannon gently reached out to scoop her into his arms. Her wings were badly beaten, one looked broken. Doing his best to hold back his tears, he swallowed hard, past the lump in his throat. “I got you…shhh, shhh….it’s alright…don’t move…I have you.” He soothed, gently cradling her to his chest. “It’s going to be alright, Brageet..I promise.”

All Gannon could do for the moment was hold her and sooth her as best he could while his vision fully returned. Eventually, he stood and slowly made his way back through the trees. Finding Aldaine and Gainna was easy, but as the trio approached the area where the light had emanated from, Gannon was met with a sight unlike anything he had ever seen. He was reminded of the fae village and the destruction he’d seen there, but this was so much more. Everything was warped, but not in the same way. It was almost as if the trees were trapped between growth and decay, life and death.

“Gin! Where are you?! GIN!” He prayed that the boy hadn’t been caught in that light – if it could do this to the trees what would it do to a person. Just what the hell had happened here and how?

For the next minute or so everything was a blur. One moment she was grasping the strange glowing object she had freed from the tree, the next thing she knew she was being carried by the teacher assistant of her shifter class through the forest. Before she even had a chance to react there was a bright flash and everything went black.

It took a bit of time for Thanya to come to her senses. Though she couldn't see, her sense of smell still worked fine and to her dismay she couldn't smell the sweet scent of the apples like before. Eventually her eyesight did return and what she saw baffled her. A quick look over Gin's shoulder showed a warped and twisted reality to where she had been just moments before. The place looked both dead and alive at the same time, except, to her upmost sadness, her apple tree, which looked completely dead. Looking both scared and bewildered and a little sad Thanya would look up at Gin, who still had her tightly clasped in her arms, and ask "W-what...what happened?"

Gin knew to expect the flash of light because of his vision, but even so, when it occurred, he still hissed in pain and came to a halting stop. Because his back had been toward the light, his sight wasn’t as damaged as someone who may have been looking straight at it, but still, when he opened his eyes, everything was all fuzzy. With Thanya still held in his arms, all he could do was rely on his other senses. He heard a groan of pain close by and felt his hackles rise. Sniffing the air, it only took him a few moments to realize who it was and why they were there.

“RIN!?! Dammit! What are you doing here?!” He growled deep and low, hating that his precious sister had nearly been caught in this whole mess. Hating that he’d been so frantic in his race to get to Thanya in time, that he hadn’t noticed his sister, he vowed to teach her a valuable lesson on when it was appropriate to follow him and when she needed to stay away.

Blinking his eyes open several times, everything was still blurry, but he looked down at Thanya none-the-less. “Remember how I told you to stay OUT of the forest?! This was WHY.” He growled, his temper already rising. It took him a moment and a few deep breaths, but after a bit he was able to stomp his emotions back down.

“I had a vision…of you, in a tree, finding that…thing. I knew that if I didn’t find you in time…” He didn’t have to say it for them all to know that Thanya would not have survived whatever that reaction had been. Huffing a bit, he set Thanya’s feet on the ground before directing his still blurry gaze over to the fuzzy blob that was his little sister.

“Rin, Get over-“ His words were cut off by the shouts of Gannon, who he could tell was not too far away. Ears twitching, he released a deep sigh. Cupping his hands around his mouth he shouted back. “Here, Gannon! I have Thanya and Rin with me! We’re safe!” He called back, suspecting that the some of the Headmaster’s forest friends had alerted him to the commotion and urged him to come running.

As he waited for Gannon to come and find him, his ears twitched yet again. Someone else was coming toward them. Turning to look, Gin rubbed his eyes a little, willing them to clear so he could see who it was. But before his sight revealed who it was, his nose caught the scent – it was Sokea! Chest aching, Gin found himself running forward even before he knew he’d moved.

“Sokea!?” What was he doing out in the woods? Was he alright? Despite Sokea being a bit of a blur, Gin came right up to him, his hands grasping Sokea’s shoulders tightly, almost desperately. “What are you doing here?! Are you alright?” The look of worry was clear on his face and in his tone. How was it that almost everyone he cared about had wandered into the woods?! It was a good thing Ven and Gianna were safe at home…

    Aldaine De’Fraye

Well it was official. Today had turned into an absolute shitshow to say the least. Aldaine’s vision was gradually starting to recover, going from coloured dots, to seeing his environment, albeit blurred. However, after a few more minutes, his eyesight had returned to normal. Good, he was starting to worry that it might have been permanent. Once he regained his composure, he was able to advance more quickly forward, along with Gannon and Gianna. When they arrived, however, Aldaine found himself at a loss for words. Everything was distorted, unnatural and profane. The tree and the surrounding vicinity of the blast of light was like some grotesque abnormal conjuration of life and death sown together in some twisted thread of the unseen and unknowable. He’d been to places, seen many things, but nothing like this. Aldaine didn’t like this, he didn’t like this at all. First the strange happenings with the Lord Marshal, then a burst of light that warps reality around it?! No, something was definitely wrong here, and for the longest time, Aldaine felt fear crawl up his otherwise solid and composed spine.

However, now was not the time to dwell on such things, they three of them had to find the students. It was only a matter of seconds before Aldaine had heard a male voice yell and reply to Gannon’s previous call. Aldaine moved to the student’s location quickly. “Over here!” he called to Gannon and Gianna, beckoning them to follow him. By the Gods, if Reynard thought he had his hands full with the Lord Marshal, he was going to bust a blood vessel when he heard about this.

Eventually, the trio found the three shifters, all alive and well. Aldaine found himself breathing a sigh of relief at the sight of the seemingly unharmed students. Thank the Gods they weren’t caught in the blast, otherwise who know what horrific deformation they would have found. The jaguar imagined that Gianna and Gannon would be incredibly pissed off with these three, but, that was neither here nor there. They were alive, and that’s all that mattered for now. “And people ask me why I can’t stand students? These three shouldn’t even be out here! Whichever one of them caused all this gods damned commotion has a lot to answer for…” Most of Aldaine’s screaming thoughts were induced mainly by his current shaken up state. However, there were bigger priorities. They needed people on the scene here and most of all, he needed to inform the Captain about what happened. An event if this magnitude was bound to cause public unrest. Damn it all, when he stepped out of the barracks this morning, he certainly didn’t see this coming.

Recollecting himself, he turned towards Gannon, addressing the Court Mage properly this time, “Court Mage Gannon, I apologise Sir, but I should inform Captain Balgaire of this immediately. An event such as this is bound to cause some level of civil unrest. If you no longer require my assistance here Sir, I should leave to report to the barracks at once.” Aldaine finished, awaiting Gannon’s reply…
