These were weird stalks for a couple of days but then they surprised me with these lovely flowers. Only 1-2 days later and the flowers are withered and falling. The wind was killer this day.

Day 93 emotion_ghostBunched Blossoms emotion_ghost
At first I thought these were cherry blossoms because of the tree, but then wondered if it were an apple tree. I'm still not sure.
I've been waiting for the wisteria to grow and bloom by the fine arts building. Previously, there was a brick wall about 7-8 feet tall for the wisteria to climb on. But last year some terrible wind knocked the wall down before the wisteria could bloom, so it had to be cut back. The wall was never rebuilt so the wisteria had to make due as short bushes instead of ivy. The blooms are pretty none-the-less.
Wish I could get some better lighting. There's only so much I can do at 6:45 pm.

Day 95 emotion_ghostTiny Iris emotion_ghost
I believe this is a breed of a pygmy iris? It's rather small, about 1/3 the size of a normal one.
I've been interested in this plant for several years but never succeeded in taking as many progress shots or seeing the full plant. At a later date I'll hopefully update with a completely unfurled pitcher/flower.
Notice how it starts out as a spike? I thought that was cool. It takes about 4 or so days for the leaves to completely come out of the tip. The pitcher/flower is located where the leaf stalks meet. I've been watching this plant for exactly 2 weeks.
I believe a compiled image of my dedication is quite fitting for the 100th day.
