well i know one... every resident evil game either had

A: a keycard
B: a key

Pffftt... Keycards and keys... only in certain areas... other than that you need gemstones hidden in puzzles that act as keys to special items hidden behind paintings or walls. And in some areas, instead of a key or keycard, you have a door that is activated by finding two pieces of an emblem that is usually underwater or lost in rotting garbage.
