It's odd, but I may actually be one of the only people who agree with you on this. I do not think you were trying to be demeaning in any way and I support your arguments that man should be able to do those things.

Thank you! I appreciate that, and I'm glad that you see my ways as something other than demeaning!
It's nice to see one person on my side. biggrin

maybe its just the way I was raised?

Somewhat relevent but not completely, nontheless I like ranting about this particular issue...

I think that raising children to believe in a certain religion is completely wrong, people should not be spoonfed religion as truth by their parents, all that does is increase the levels of ignorance and intolerance in society. Children should be left alone until they are mature enough to make their own minds up.

hats pure physical appearance... you better look deeper girly!

Technically, she is looking deeper, however not much so... she's looking at how personal appearance reflects personality

No shes judging by physical appearance. if every one were to wear tight pants and have piercings then itd be different. doing things different would be a way of acting, or thinking, not dressing.

Well yeah, I didn't say she's looking deep enough, but nontheless it's somewhat of an attempt.

But liking someone just because they're different is completely moronic anyway confused What if they were different because they liked beastiality or something sick like that
lol, you reminded me for an inside joke me and fabe have. but still outer apperance should come last. except first impressions do mean something. but what if hes all pierced and tats and tight pants then is a complete d**k? will she still liek him?

And with the taking care of you, and him being in control, don't you think he'd be fair in that where he'll treat you as an equal instead of a subordinate?
By the way, I do believe that an SO takes up a lot of time and effort, so I've been walking the single road as well. That last relationship was a bit crazy. It's why I've been making the effort of being more the man that I've defined.

I mean, im the one in the relationship with a backbone, i can stand on my own and hold others up, but it seems that most the guys need way more support then they give. And ive been through like every relatiosnip you can think of. ive had abusive (physical, mental, emotional), ive had the hard core druggies/dealer, ive had the emotionally unstable, the "lets get drunk and have fun" kind (which was HORRIBLE). Ive had to lie to my parents for boys, ive lowered my standars to make them happy, ive done stuff i regret to make them happy, and then i always get screwed over for it later. So ive basically given up on the opposite sex. My standards are high because of what ive gone threw, my expectations are higher because i like some one who can give more.

Ive always been into long term relationships, first impressions can sway my opinion, and its funny the whitty cocky a** holes are normally the ones i befriend and not date. It sucks. but what can you do.

I guess the only thing to do is change yourself?
Since your friends are all what you don't like, you've gotta change something about yourself so that you don't attract those types of crowds, find some new friends, or something else.
What do you think?

Spiess Skits
[...♥]
My view on a what makes a guy an man is he HAS to be respectful.
For example back in the early 90's men were expected to treat a woman with respect. (Despite the political disadvantages to being a woman.)
In a relationship a guy shouldn't push the idea sex
on a poor girl that isn't ready. If a man touches a woman in such a way that makes her uncomfortable and she
speaks against it, he should just drop it right there.
Personally I agree with what you're saying about the idea of being gentle. Believe it or not, its more of a turn on for most women if you're
just a kind person. Personally I'd rather be with a man who could take his jacket off and put it on a puddle for an elderly person.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that it takes a little respect to make a man. Some other things that make a "man"
in my personal opinion are..he has to have a sense of humor, life is just easier when people can laugh. He doesn't necessarily have to be the
best looking guy, but he has to be well groomed. I also believe that he
should be very openminded and willing to accept things.
Being a smart one is a very important quality too. I think if "men"
in general just learned to accept things instead of make everything a
compition the initial seed of hatred wouldn't be in the world at all.
(Keep in mind for that last part, I wasn't trying to stereo type or generalize
male behavior, I was simply expressing my opinion.)

Hm, I really like the majority of what you said, and would obviously agree with it.

Unfortunately, the spoonfeeding does happen, even in households where it is rarely if ever mentioned.
And, children are usually exposed to the dominant religion of an area in school as well, through small remarks, studies, or their classmates.

And intolerances grow out of ignorance.
*sigh*
And there is much of that, no matter which religion one follows.
Not that every religious person is like that, because they aren't, but many are.

And the maturity of an individual varies.

That's my little rant for now.

Nah ive tried to change.. and thats what caused my longest relationship to end. So i figured ill just be me. Its just the ones i like end up my friends then when i do get a boyfriend theyre over protective and over barring.. its quite amusing to see my boyfriend having to compete with my best friends. Ive grown up with guys i know how they think, and i can up their girls any day and the girls know it and are intimidated by it. I scare people without even talking. My guy friends keep me on a pedalstool.. its lik im the one to be like or beat. But idk my boyfriends always turn out shitty. like thsi one (eric) his friends hated me for multiple reasons. he never stood up for me, his friends made fun of me, picked on me, forced me to do s**t, id wake up not knwoing where i was and why i wasnt where i was before. They kidnaped me one night and took me camping, didnt feed me and other s**t happened all i remember of that whole night is the sower episode and puking for hours the waking up in the truck.

Its not neccessarily mutilation.
Modification, yes.
Mutilation connotates painful disfigurement against one's wishes.
