[Ean_arico]

"L-Lucinda..." Renatus began, turning away and blushing heavily. "What did you think I felt?"  

[Cecily D Aria]

"It sounds like... like you have a cursh on me," Lucinda said, quietly.  

[Ean_arico]

Renatus searched his inner diction for the word crush. All he oculd find was to destroy with downward force. "I... dont quite understand." Renatus said, "What do you mean 'crush'?"  

[Cecily D Aria]

"Like, you like me more than most other people. Like you're... falling in love," Lucinda tried to explain.  

[Ean_arico]

Renatus' heart felt as though it skipped a beat. Love? Could it be? He had never felt love before other than from his family, and this was completely different. "I... suppose that makes sense..." he said cautiously.  

[Cecily D Aria]

"Yes," Lucinda replied, nodding. She was still staring at the floor.  

[Ean_arico]

"Does... does this displease you?..." Renatus asked quietly. He didn't want to inconvenient Lucinda, and it this did, he wanted to know what to do.  

[Cecily D Aria]

"I... I don't think so," Lucinda replied, shaking her head, slowly.  

[Ean_arico]

"Oh." Renatus said relieved. He wanted to stay with Lucinda, and was glad that she wasn't angry with him or wanting of his absence. He did however realize the gravity of the situation. "Lucinda... You don't like me the same way... do you?" he said somberly.  

[Cecily D Aria]

"Renatus... you need to understand... it's hard for me to tell how I feel about people, I've been treating everyone the same way for so long..." Lucinda replied, meekly.  

[Ean_arico]

"Right." Renatus said depressingly. He looked down, and turned towards his door. He skulked slowly into his room, dragging his feet. He slammed the door behind him, perhaps harder than he meant to. He flopped down onto his bed and stared at the ceiling, thoughts flooding his head.  

[Cecily D Aria]

Lucinda let herself sink to the floor of the balcony, hugging her knees to her chest. She didn't want to hurt him, but she seriously didn't know how she felt...

Renatus sighed deeply. His heart was painfully pounding in his chest. He sat up slowly, his mind delving deep into the crevices of depression. He reached into his shirt and retrieved his pearl necklace. He stared into it's infinite patterns.  

[Cecily D Aria]

"What is wrong with me?" Lucinda asked no one. "Why did I hurt him like that?"  

[Ean_arico]

Renatus' skin shifted into the scaly truth, his violet eyes becoming feline. Their reflections in the pearl were the most notable thing. "I cast of this curse..." Renatus said quietly. His arm extended, and the pearl bounced on the floor by the balcony door. Renatus' heart began to slow.
