I hoped that such rumors were false, but its hard to say whether any of them were true or not. But I guess its all in the past now, with Michael being gone and all.

Obviously the Grammies you are talking about was a long time ago, so I have no idea who was there. I can't think of anyone I would want to kick out.

3918. Studies have revealed that when sending out a resume a person has a 50% higher chance of getting a response if their name is white sounding than if it is black sounding. What do you think about this? Why do companies respond this way?
That goes against the no prejudice rule of hiring people. And honestly I don't think people should judge by what color of skin a person's name sounds.

Oh, I'm sure there's been quite a few movies like that. Probably because I got bored with the storyline and didn't feel like sitting through and watching the whole thing.

As you become aware that you do things just because it's routine or because you haven't put much thought to it, you begin to become more aware of things you'll do in the future. I agree with the statement, because I think many people have let themselves fall into a routine system and never take the chance to "look outside the box" they've built around them. I'm definitely not robotic myself.

I wouldn't say they are taboo subjects, its just that many people get offended or defensive when the subjects are brought up - especially if you are among a group of people that aren't open-minded to other peoples' opinions and views.

3939. Is there really a difference between republicans and democrats?
Yeah, I guess.

3940. Imagine someone has a great personality, sense or humor, family and job. they also really really like you a lot. Would you consider dating them if they: were fat? limped? were a midget? had HIV? were paralyzed in one arm? had a glass eye? had only 6 months to live?
Um... I don't know, depends on how well the two of us got along. I wouldn't mind a limp. It would go against my preference for having someone taller than me, but I guess if the connection between us was really good, I might consider an exception to the rule. Um... probably not. I wouldn't be bothered by that. I wouldn't be bothered by that. I guess...?

Lots of things, depending on the occasion and what memories I recall.

I don't remember anything about him. She was blind and helped teach others. He traveled across the Atlantic to America.

I don't know! Um...

3944. Betcha they didn't tell you that in American history. Wilson, Keller and Columbus are painted as heroes, impossibly good, ideal people. Why are so many things omitted from and lied about in American history text books?
Oh, I've come to know the truth behind a lot of historical events with the classes I've taken in college. I think it's simply the age of the class that is being taught of history. If a teacher paints a heroic, good image of certain historical figures and events, it'll make students become more interested in history and take the time to follow their interests.

I don't think everyone rushes to grow up. I know I rebelled a bit at entering the "grown up" world, much to annoyance and irritation of my parents. I still get mixed messages from my parents, especially my Mom. She wants me to get a job and all that, but she still wants me to be her "little girl." *rolls eyes* Anyway... I don't know. Because of the society we live in.

3949. Why do people sacrifice their health to obtain money and then use the money to restore their health?
