Donovan wasn't sure how he did it but the lawyer was holding the pen and paper. Hadn't the pen fallen on the floor on the opposite side of the table? He was sure the guy hadn't moved. Oh well. He gave a mental shrug. He wouldn't think on it too hard. He watched as the man offered the pen and paper to her, wondering if she was actually going to sign it like she said she would.

Elizabeth took the paper and pen roughly away from the layer, her eyes still locked onto Mary. Suddenly she threw the pen across the room and she took the paper into both her hands and slowly ripped it into two halves. She knew she was going to pay for what she did soon, but at that moment a smirk formed on her lips. "Like I would give up that easily."

((I g2g in 2 mins T.T)) Donovan visibly flinched when she tore the paper in half. He knew this wasn't going to end well, for either of them. But especially not for him. Everything that went wrong in the family always ended up on his shoulders. Everything. That thought was proved correct when his mother's sharp gaze landed on him. "Shek mahk nem ahk nah. Dedg em behk shum." He nodded at her command though didn't meet her gaze, keeping his eyes lowered to the floor.

Elizabeth sneered as the mother turned her attention onto Donovan. "You leave him out of this, I choose what I wish to choose and he has nothing to do with it." she snapped toward the mother. Elizabeth suddenly felt something drip from her hands that were fisted at her sides. She looked down briefly, noticing there was small droplets of blood on the floor. She was tring to control her anger so much she had cut her palms with her nails.

Marie glanced at Elizabeth before turning her attention back to her remaining son. She snapped something at him in their natural language before leaving with her lawyer trailing behind her. "Don't disappoint me Donovan," she said icily before leaving the room. The door was shut behind her. The moment he was alone with Elizabeth, Donovan closed his eyes and slowly shook his head. He groaned lowly. "You have no idea how much trouble we're in," he told her, his mother's command playing over and over in his head.

Elizabeth looked away from the floor as the mother and lawyer left the room. She looked at Donovan with a scrowl on her face, her eyes peircing with anger. "I do not care for how much damn trouble it causes I am not signing that cursed paper." she snapped at him.

"You don't get it, do you?" Donovan snapped, his own eyes darkening with anger. He wasn't as furious as when she'd nearly gotten hit by the car but he was angry. "This isn't about you! If we don't get married, there will be no king and queen! There will be no heir and the country will fall into chaos! You don't know what my kind are like when chaos ensues. I'm not talking about mere riots and looting. I'm taking about a civil war where no one knows who they're fighting! People are going to be killed Elizabeth! There must be a royal family to keep the country under control."

Elizabeth flinched and looked away as he snapped back. She didn't want a war to break out, just the thought made her heart sink to the bottom of her chest. She gulped and looked back to him, a tear slidding away from her. "Find another girl to marry then. There are plenty in the world I am sure would be more than happy to have your kids and be apart of your family. Theo was my husband and I was to bear his children. Until full proof is given to me of his death, I will not be at another man's side. Even if it is his twin brother."

Donovan shook his head, his anger fading away as quickly as it had come. "If only it were that easy," he told her, sighing. "My mother chose you specifically for a reason. I don't know what that reason is, but she wants you to be queen. That's what you agreed to." He stepped over to her, gently clasping her hands in his. "Please Elizabeth. My mother will do whatever it takes to make you agree to this, even if it means breaking you. I can't see you go through that. I've already lost my brother. I can't lose you too."

Elizabeth listened to him as he tried to reason with her. She took her hands away from his and stepped away and placed her hands on the top of her head as she closed her eyes tightly. She knew she agreed to things when she agreed to marry to Theo, but things were just becoming a little much for her. Even with her hardheadness and high spirted self she knew it wouldn't take much more to break her at the moment. Thing was, that was the exact thing making her refuse so hard, she wanted to prove she wouldn't be broken so easy. Looking up at Donovan she could see how serious he was about everything. What could the reason his mother have for wanting her to be queen so badly? What ever the reason was, she had to figure it out, but the only way was to agree with what she wanted. With a small sigh she looked away from Donovan and down to the floor and spoke. "I won't break as easy as you think Donovan. What ever your mother's reason is for wanting me so badly as queen she will have to talk to me personally before I agree to anything. I am sorry, but I am not agreeing to something blindly."

Donovan groaned and closed his eyes, rubbing one with the heel of his hand. "Fine," he said finally, lowering his had to his side and letting his eyes flash open again. "But do not underestimate nor disrespect her. This little refusal of yours is disrespect enough to last several months."

Elizabeth couldn't promise him that she would not do either. Acting calm around the women was the last thing she wanted to do, but she knew she had to try and hold her tongue when she spoke to her. She gave him a half smile and letted her hands rest at her sides. "I promise I will try my hardest to hold my tongue around your mother." she said with as much of a calm voice as she could hold at that moment.

Donovan nodded uneasily before walking over to the door and knocking on it. A few seconds later, it opened and Marie and her lawyer reentered the room. His mother glanced at Donovan who wouldn't meet her gaze, making her frown.

Elizabeth turned to face toward Marie while her arms tensed at her sides. "Marie," she said firmly. "I will agree to signing the papers but first you must answer my questions truthfully. Don't give me any bullshit. Why do you want me to be queen so badly? Why not choose a different women to marry to Donovan?"

Marie eyes narrowed the moment Elizabeth said 'but'. She listened to the younger female's words before shooting a glare at Donovan who was still watching the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world. Then, she looked back to Elizabeth. "It is not just about Donovan," she said finally. "The woman he marries will become queen. She will rule the country as much as he does. Do you think I would allow some air-headed bimbo ruling my country? Absolutely not."
