"The rubble creates cover for predators such as bears, snakes and wolves." Omazige answered simply before throwing the tree back into the forest, creating a loud thud as it hit.
"My only concern is time. If I'm gone for too long, she'll be left without certain supplies she can only get in a village. And I don't think she ever wants to go there alone."

"Well it would probably look bad on her part." Kagu agreed, nodding her head. "A girl with no family suddenly coming in the village with gold she hasn't earned asking for something..."

"We shouldn't be long anyway. Recht's lair is close to the portal. We should only be two days. Three tops."  

[Zahzi]

"...Who makes their lair so close to a portal?"  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Well... That's also if you can fly..." Kagu nervously laughed.

"On foot... three days walk."  

[Zahzi]

"...That's still too close..."

Meanwhile...

Recht sat on his throne, pondering on what to do with the only task in front of him. It was rather amusing when you thought of it. It wasn't the extermination of humanity. It wasn't the taking of the Earth...It was trying to get to a couple of half-breeds...

"Astaroth...I have a new assignment for you..."

"And what is you bidding..?"

"We need to get moving now." Kagu grumbled. "The more time we waste out here the more likely Recht and Astaroth will notice." She growled, as Hael started stumbling her way out.  

[Zahzi]

"Well, that's entirely your fault, isn't it?" Omazige said, before looking over at Hael.
"...Something wrong, Hael?"

"...You want me to do what??" Astaroth asked, looking at Recht with an eyebrow raised.

"You heard my orders...Are you questioning them..?"

"N-no, sir..." Astaroth said, as he turned around to walk out.

"Oh...And if you see Kagu..."

"Sir?"

"Make sure she doesn't live..."

"Of course, sir."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Just another nightmare.." Hael responded with a grunt. "No worries."

"No. It isn't." Kagu snapped coldly. "You're the one who wanted to wait until morning to move. I usually return by now."  

[Zahzi]

"I see." Omazige said before looking at Kagu.
"Oh yeah...Because rationality is going to kill us all..."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Just get your things already." Kagu hissed. "We're burning precious day light!!"  

[Zahzi]

"Fine fine...Just let me get Deras and the Claymore..." Omazige said, walking back to the house and patting Hael on the head before entering the house.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"...What's with all the head pats?" Kagu asked, looking down at Hael.

"I dunno." She said, shrugging her shoulders.  

[Zahzi]

Omazige returned with Deras on and carrying the claymore over his shoulder.
"Ready when you are, witch."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Har, har." Kagu said sarcastically before walking away into the thicker part of the forest.

". . .Do you HAVE to go?" Hael couldn't help but pout.  

[Zahzi]

Omazige looked down at Hael, laughing once.
"Well, now's your last chance if you want to come along." he said with a closed-eyed smile.
