((She is what you call an Oni. I am not sure exactly what their spot in Japanese culture is,but in Gensokyo,they are creatures of unmeasurable strenght. The horns are their real sign of their heritage, and they love to drink/party. They have been in Gensokyo for as long as anyone can remember,but they were pushed into the Youkai Mountain to have themselves seperated from humans.
They are actually very wise due to their age, but they are too carefree to show it at all times.))

The only time I've ever heard the term oni was in Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.
Then it referred to these creatures that were part of a game, and were hunted by the oni hunters within the game. There were different ranks to the oni based on thier strength and one ultimate oni that could control the other oni. The ultimate oni was the only one that looked human, all the other oni had distinctively non-human shapes.))

((But, well Suika is an Oni by Touhou standards.
And its like Keine,in the form she has in my siggy,she has the horns and tail, but she is a were-hakutaku. A history-beast with many eyes and a more...boarish-cowish form. So I see how Tsubasa could be right xD))

Uh-huh... Maybe, it is. Or maybe not. I just know that the oto country part of the series is one of my favorite ones. Especially in the manga. The anime left out a couple of bits of the action. ...Probably because they didn't want to show some of the characters getting drunk and acting crazy. xD))
