Another Droid appeared immediately in the doorway, the automatic door instantly slamming shut behind it. Kay was ready to use the smoke for as ever as long as it lasted, but a mechanical click came from the wall nearby. A soft whir kicked in, and Kay could see the smoke being sucked into the typically smooth and impenetrable walls. Taking every possible advantage, Kay immediately leapt over to the wall, trying to stay out of sight of the droid. From the wall, a series of small vents appeared in the wall to remove his advantage.

Thinking quickly, he wedged his saber into the vent and pried at it. Almost immediately the vents snapped shut, but it was too late. His section was coming free. The smoke was also all but gone...

Kay ducked as the sound of a blaster shot echoed through the arena... Another insidious upgrade. He dropped to one knee and threw the vent tile back as hard as possible.

The droid rushed the man, holding his lightsaber down, and brought it up in an extended sweep over the man's ribcage.

The vent made contact and the knocked the droid back as Kay turned back to the opening to see if it held any more advantages. The droid struggled to stabilize, being held aloft by only a single primary thruster as Kay searched the opening. Inside the gap, there was only a small duct that he could probably wedge himself in just long enough to get killed. But... In his efforts, the adjacent panel, this one with no vent, had come loose. He only had to too realize the panelling was compartmentalised, and that he wouldn't be able to get any other sections free before the droid was on him once more.

He immediately yanked free this other panel and swung around to block the droid's saber blow. As it bounced back, Kay drove the metal panel forward, slamming it into the droid. As it recoiled, Kay swung forward again, and again. He pushed the droid back, then down to the floor. He then finished momentarily stunning the droid with a massive stomp down on the panel, driving it into the droids head and knocking it back into the floor.

The droid swiped his saber back and forth merely attempting to ward off his attacker.
