Oh well, it's all good. o wo Now I need to see if I can muster up the fortitude to beat Soulstorm, considering the bleeping lack of persistent bases...

What's the point of strategy without base building, I ask.
That's one of the few things I like about the genre. And I don't like the genre. XD

I don't like the serious, hardcore PvP that some of these games have. ^^ I do like the occasional skirmish match versus the computer, and I like the storylines; that's most of why I play, actually.

Well, I tend to turtle (unless I *start* the match with a powerful team...), so... uh... yeah. Oh well. ^^ I just hope they're able to finish Dark Millennium.

Haven't played a Dawn of War game since Dark Crusade.

DoW2 is different. Very, very different. o wo It's basically a squad-based tactical campaign rather than a true RTS; there's a general lack of bases, for example, aside from a few places to produce a handful of units.

Pretty fun, though. ^^ I rather liked getting to play as the Tyranids.

Well, at least the game did it reasonably well. o wo But I can see why people enjoy making (and KEEPING, Soulstorm) the bases for each map. Makes it feel worthwhile.

Maybe I'll get an age of empires game or something.
Something with a map editor.
