Krinna looked up, slightly startled and at least as nervous as she was when the judges were tasting the dishes.
She flicked her ears and twitched her whiskers, saying:
"Uh... do Nia and I have to stand up in front of everybody, too?"

Krinna licked the back of her paw and passed it over her ears again. So what if she'd cleaned them several times in the last ten minutes? She was as nervous and fidgety as a housefly in black coffee.
