The lack of good RPiers recently?
::raises hand::
That'll be my fault : P
When I went on my RP guild absence I took off the requirement to send in an RPing sample before entering the guild. This allowed anybody to gain entry to Ria.
Seeing that we have a huge in favor for Semi-lit RPs around here I believe its about time I put that requirement back in.
Anybody want to make a flashy little checklist for people for the front page? : P.
Or even...
A new requirement to gain entry?
Please keep in mind I sincerely want to keep Ria a Semi-lit guild.
Because.
I'm only semi-lit too : P
I could never deal with Serious lit RPs @_@;;

I seriously agree with that man, I fully support the fact that you don't want crappy forum RP's to get into a guild such as this. I don't either! But I also don't want people to create pages and pages of RPs to read, because then everyone gets lost and many people lose the urge to write completely! It's hard to keep a guild straight when there's such a mixture of people within it, and I think we all need to come to a clear definition of what "semi-lit" is. Of course, I don't think I'm in the position to say that so I need everyone's input on it. :p

As it currently stands To me one well crafted paragraph could stand as a semi lit post.. Well I am a firm believer of Quality over quantity and that does somewhat skewer my idea of what a semi lit is...
As to your first post I don't honestly see that as becoming a problem here... most rps were originally run past a crew member and they used to be rather strict about the rules of new thread's only the people that really deserved it for there outstanding idea or standing in the guild were able to get one, Well I can see you not wanting to read through page after page of posts I suppose that brings something new to the table from several rps Ive been in where there is a small over view of the major events happening and currently happening in the guild.. perhaps that would in time come to solve some peoples attitude towards the massive amount of text and will be more able to jump in where they see fit.

Muahahaha! The Illurious one stands before yo- ehh... that's enough of that.
Why, hello! Please igore the pool of blood at my feet. I took a quick look around and I started bleeding profusely from every orifice in my body. In fact, its to the point where my orifices had bleeding orifices that ALSO had bleeding orifices of their own!
I suggest we purge them with fire! Huddle them up and eradicate their molecules with a thermonuclear warhead- no! Antimatter! >=3
Or throw them into a black hole where they shall perish by spaghettification!
Alright, off with the theatrical hyperbole... I agree that we need to define our standards. While one-liners are horrifying and show an utter lack of the basic intellect and creativity necessary for a decent conversation, advanced-literate novels really kill my motivation to do anything.

Suggested most of that already Nadindel... didn't get many takers sweatdrop welcome to the guild though I hope the rest of your stay is a O- friendly one.
And Mint were not putting the blame on anyone.. were simply not that kind of people.. Were putting the blame on the people that think they can get away with one liners... wait I guess we are that kind of people... ninja

Perhaps.. start with a simple guild announcement, warning people that the rules will soon be enforced again, and that they'd better look over them and start abiding by them or risk being banned from the guild.

Well the word warn is too friendly for me I completely 100% agree.. You have my stamp of approval.

No really it is my fault LOL.
I didn't take a second glance at some of the join requests because in some sense I wanted to "experiment" to see what would happen if I allowed anybody into a semi-lit guild setting that has already been established.
Kinda ruled out the factor that more then half of the guild went missing and it was basically a giant sandbox for anyone to run in and kinda.. trample around other peoples beautiful sand castles they worked years on.
huh.
Shoulda saw that one coming.
But in all seriousness I suppose I should put back the entry rule hmmm..
what was the previous one... :: searches::

Rules.
No * *'s for actions
Semi lit posts a requirement.
For those that dont understand the above it simply means if you cannot post more then one sentence this might not be the right place for you.
Keep active... by posting at least once a week although we would enjoy seeing you around more.
Be original and everyone will love you...
No god modding... You can be an immortal character but even Chuck Norris dies in at least one of his films.
Please use grammar even if its in its simplest form.
Thats all I have for now.. mayhap someone less ice cream entranced can come up with something else.. OH
Firefox has spell check.. were not strict about it but at least make the words understandable.. NO LEET SPEAK or short forms well in character.. 2 is to or too or two ... not 2.
Edit #2
Profiles are mandatory
Please read the and re read each of the guilds current and up to date rules to maximize your love well here
for the most part a list of common logic
