Cobain said nothing, merely grinned and winked in a "you're welcome" sort of way at Kiae's smile. He rolled his eyes slightly at Melthin's remark, but the grin never left his face. 'It's a start.' He reasoned, shrugging and going back to work. One thing he knew for sure, if Melthin and Kiae kept up their antics it would be a long journey indeed. He tested the knife he was working on by dropping it point-down on the ground. It stuck, so he grunted and moved on to the next.

(Well, if someone speaks directly to your character, it's all right to do a short post to at least reply to them to keep the conversation from being weird and stacked. And see the post in Baelorn for an update on Sielle and our newest Darkfriend.)

Kiae ignored the insults about the Aes Sedai in her mind for later, silently promising not to let them go unpunished. Some remarks were founded, others not, and she had certainly not done anything to deserve such cruel words. "He knows nothing and yet judges everything. What a fool," she thought snidely, "He lectures on respect, but doesn't know the true meaning of what he says." She kept the thoughts in her head, however. Nothing would progress if she continued to bait him like a spoiled child.

"The wards are completely intact. Nothing has tried to invade, and I doubt anything will for a bit," she informed him, her tone cold enough to form icicles in the branches above her head. She remained civil for the time being, though. "If you are having disconcerting dreams, I can create a ward in your mind. After Esole's experience, it may be wise to err on the side of caution," she continued, frowning slightly in concern of his words.

"I would be much appreciated Kiae....Although the latest ones still bother me. Perhaps I will be in front of thousands of corpses looking out over the dark one's prison some day." He chuckled at that, already knowing that that would most likely be where he would end up once he died. "As for my plan, I am going to try something different. I want you to weave over the female puppet so that my weave over it will be hidden. I will then do the same weave to the male puppet and have it remain unhidden. Then I shall walk out and practice outside and hope that that same man returns to his stalking duties and continues to do so." He had noticed a stones board and started using it as a partial visual aid to help picture it while he thought through it as he explained.

"I shall try to make contact with him again and gain his trust, then convince him that I can hand you and your warder over to them on a platter to give us the opening we will need. We will then proceed to the designated site, of our choosing or his, most likely his because he will want to arm himself in case he does suspect my treason. Before the planned date we shall dress the female puppet as a tinker girl's corpse, Making him believe that I killed innocents and thus furthering their interest in winning me over and claiming another soul to their side. We will take him by surprise and have him in our hands. When an opening is made, I will need you to cast a shield out at him and sever his ties to the source. then we can haul him to a location, bound him there and continue by starting the interrogation."


Melthin looked to Cobain and Kiae and pushed his glasses up as he rethought through everything he had said for the fifth time. "I believe it will work yet there is something nagging at the back of my mind."

Kiae's jaw dropped at this audacious plan before she managed to hide the laughter welling up in her throat. "Perhaps it's the fact that it won't work?" she asked dryly. "It's not a bad plan, in truth, as I've used such things before. But your entire plan is based on the idea that the man is an idiot and mere Darkfriend who doesn't know you." She paused before continuing, making sure the man was listening.
"His attitude suggested he knows you. And anyone in the presence of Aes Sedai, much less someone Bonded to one, will never kill innocents. Warders are unable to do so and everyone knows it," she pointed out bluntly. She frowned in concentration, thinking. "Besides, we've completely forgotten about Sielle. You didn't meet her when she and another man attacked. Cobain killed the man, but she got away. She was a powerful weaver and is mostly likely a high-ranking Darkfriend. She wouldn't be so stupid as to let a subordinate be tricked like that. He's most likely on a short leash," she finished, crossing her arms over her chest. She shook her head, sighing.

Won't work? I do agree with your analysis but They are trying to learn as much as they can from me and they know that I am quick to rediscover and use such things. Do you not think that they would want to continue to keep an eye on me? He shook his head and adjusted his glasses, keeping his thoughts to himself. "Very well then, what would you suggest Kiae Sedai?"

(I'm fairly certain male channelers cannot see the weaves of other men. They can only sense the use of saidin in other men and can tell a rough amount of how much they're holding. They can also tell when women are holding saidar and that's about it.

Esole ground her teeth as she came upon the tinker camp. She slowed her horse to a halt and tied him to the nearest tree. "I must remember to feed him well once I've had saidar restored to me," she thought with a grimace. The unnamed horse had served her well on her mad dash after Kiae. She had nearly run him to death several times and was upset when they had to take whole days for him to rest.

Esole very faintly sensed the use of saidar nearby. It was so faint to her that it was like looking for a speck of dust at dusk. She couldn't even point to which direction it was being channeled. "I will have saidar returned to me," she growled to herself, imagining her muddied hands wrapped around Kiae's unsuspecting throat.

Her attire was in shambles. Her dress was torn in more places than Esole had fingers and her hair was such a mess she had given up on caring entirely. "I must look like a madwoman," she thought with a crazed chuckle. "But it's okay. I am."

After circling the camp, Esole came upon where Kiae and Melthin were. She silently unsheathed her knife and held it tightly, her sites set on where Kiae's heart was. She let out a maddened roar as she charged towards the Yellow Aes Sedai.

Kiae blinked in surprise, caught off-guard for a moment and ducked to the side as she regained her sense. "Oh, for the love of Light," she growled, deftly weaving Air to bind the woman on the ground to prevent injury to either of them.
"How do you expect me to remove the shield if you kill me?" she asked, gesturing for Cobain to stand down. She wondered if this meant Ethin was close by as well, but focused on the enraged Green in front of her. She was glad to see the Green was alive and relatively unharmed - healthy enough to try to stab her in the heart, at least.
"And people wonder why I don't like Greens," she thought wryly.

Esole snarled and thrashed on the ground, trying to break free of the bonds that she knew she could not overcome. "Release me you Light-blinded fool!" she screeched, madness from the loss of saidar in her voice. "Return to me what is mine!"

He smiled at the sight of Esole's presence in the room, even if it was that of a woman wanting blood. He wanted to go over and console her, yet he looked to Kiae wondering if she would comply to Esole's demands. "Please Kiae, I think it is time for you to release her from that shield. Esole, I beg of you to calm yourself. If you wish to take out your aggression then you will use that knife on me. Kiae Sedai has become a great asset to my research and I would like to keep her intact." Melthin couldn't shake that dumb smile. It was as if just being around Esole was comforting. "I also think the situation should be told to her. Do you not agree Kiae?" Unbind her and release her from the shield already. We could use another piece in our hand to help hatch something better then my suicidal plan.

Esole ceased her thrashing to stare blankly at Melthin. "You ask me to calm myself, dearest? This woman has taken from me what is not hers to take and now she has bound me with what was taken from me to rub it in my face. Now ask me again to calm myself," she said with a sneer. Her eyes seemed to take on a glazed look, like that of a dead person. "I may as well be dead without saidar," she thought grimly.

"I'm certainly not about to return to her the ability to channel when she is in this state of mind," Kiae informed them sternly. "I don't feel like dying quite yet, and I do not feel like fighting her once the ward is removed. Esole, I shielded you because something was attacking through the One Power. Cutting you from it was the only way I could save you," she continued, a vague pleading sound in her tone. "I would never shield another Sister willingly."
She paused, sighing. "What a bloody mess. I need to remove the shield, and yet it's impossible while she is out for my blood," she thought grimly.

Cobain eased back on his heels, but did not retake his seat and did not return either of the triangular throwing knives he had slipped from under his hat. "She does have a point." He said to Melthin and Esole both. "We should at least wait until she's a bit more... I dunno, not trying to kill people. Maybe get her cleaned up a bit?" He suggested, scraping his thumb along the edge of one of his knives he held in between his fingers. He breathed a small sigh of relief- he had the knife ready to throw as soon as Esole took a step into the door, only a last-minute recognition had kept him in check. He finally did slip them back into a band under his hat with a grimace.

Melthin looked to Cobain and Kiae, nodding slightly in agreement. "You are both right. Perhaps some time to relax and plan is needed. Kiae for now at least release Esloe from the weave so I may get her cleaned up. If need be I'll escort her out myself. I believe I still have a few of her spare dresses in my things somewhere..." He said as he began pondering exactly where he had set his things when they had gotten to the tinker camp. Thats right. I made a tent out near the encampment. It should still be there.
