((Alright, thanks for verifying for me.))

(feel free to kill the Erinyes.... I don't care about keeping control or keeping them around.. So long as none of the others kill Bakher off with them)

He was tiring now, his adrenaline glands beginning to run down as he slashed a Erinyes across the back, his talons slashing to the bone. He'd lost track of how many Erinyes he'd killed, but it had to be many, for his talons and even his beak were beginning to dull with usage, the blows no longer instantly lethal. The others were getting into the fight as well, and for that he was glad; the Erinyes would have otherwise mobbed him completely before moving onto the others. He'd nearly used up all of his Magika as well, even with his new found reserves, and he could no longer constantly heal the various and many wounds he had sustained, and could no longer cocoon a Fury in Magik and rip it to shreds; he bled now from dozens of cuts and slashes he could no longer heal, and his scaling was now cracked and penetrated in over a dozen places from otherwise lethal hits.

He flicked a wing to smack away a Fury trying for his flank, and screeched in pain as another grabbed his wing in its powerful jaws and bit down. He couldn't reach its head with his beak, but he could reach its hindquarters, and did. He heard a brittle Crunch! as his beak bit home, cutting through hide, fat, muscle, and eventually the hardened bone of its vertebrae. The Fury convulsed silently, its jaws full of his wing, but hung on, grinding its jaws and tearing through delicate tissues.

Bakher jerked his head, and the Erinyes went limp, its spine almost ripped out. He pulled the dead monster off, and tossed it away, feathers, tendons, and muscles going with it.

Automatically, he thrust up with his bloodied hind legs, and landed fully on top of a Fury that made the error of trying for his throat. His massive weight drove the Fury into the blood thick mud, and he made sure its head was buried as deep in the mud as he could manage as he lashed out with his beak, tearing a deep gash across another Erinyes's chest. The pinned Erinyes struggled, but it was a ultimately useless gesture, for there was no dislodging the gryphon as he pressed harder. Eventually, the Erinyes went limp, literally drowning in blood and mud, and he huffed in satisfaction, then took a look at his wing.

He saw blood coming off the mangled wing; it looked like the Fury had ripped the extensors muscles and tendons to shreds, and the blood vessel rich tissues were now streaming blood, and it was not clotting. Worse, he couldn't even fold the wing against his back, out of further harms way; it dragged on the ground now, and he was uncomfortably reminded of a grouse with a broken wing- helpless, and defenseless.

He growled anew, and looked around for more Furies to kill, then leapt after one as it tried to back away, headed for one of the others. The unlucky Erinyes squalled and bit at the scaled paw that pinned it, like a hyena being attacked by a lion would do. He tightened his grip, and the Erinyes lashed out with long, deadly talons as he pressed it into the mud like he had to the earlier one, only this time he wasn't trying to drown it; the Fury gagged as he put his entire weight onto its throat, and it struggled anew, managing to mark his forearm scale plates in several places, but not enough to save itself.

He grimly pressed harder as dull popping sounds came, the vertebrae dislocating under the pressure, and the Erinyes wheezed in a attempt for air, which only made him press still harder. Finally, its eyes rolled back and it breathed its last as its neck snapped under the stress, and he looked around for something else to kill.

There was nothing left, save the badly wounded and dying Furies, and the many savaged bodies (and parts of bodies) that literally mounded the ground in a few places; the rest of the Erinyes, sensing that he was too tough a target, had given up on him, and now headed for the others; there was still over a dozen and a half left that were uninjured, and many wounded ones still able to fight.

None of them were coming after him, though; he fell to his knees as the Battle Rage faded, the effects of the adrenaline and shock wearing off. He collapsed to his belly, then onto his side (not the one with the mangled wing) as exhaustion and pain kicked in with a vengeance. He looked his mangled wing over as the shock wore off more fully, the pain beginning to haze his perceptions; One of the others would have to treat the wound- he was completely tapped out. And it had to be a Magik fix; nothing else could possibly fix the damage properly, or he'd be a lamed gryphon, unable to fly, unable to hunt .

It was with that thought in mind he collapsed there, his head splashing into the mud and blood as unconsciousness took him

{I haven't had enough time to post. With getting cavities filled this morning, going to the family counselor, shopping with my mom, and now cleaning, there really is not enough time. Hopefully I can tonight though: if my Mate doesn't distract me too much with his mere presence. >3>}

Kirisa tore into several more furies, ripping the ceatures to shreds with brute strength. She turned her head and saw the Gryphon collapse. "Pfft she snorted. "What a useless creature". That said, he did manage to kill quite a few of the creatures. That at least earned him a few brownie points. She spun around and drew a deep breath, "You'd better get out of the way!" she called out to any friendly creature and then unleased her flame breath. Orange flames erupted from her mouth, washing over several Erinyes, incinerating the beasts. The others seemedto be holding their own, but the fainted Gryphon was an open target.

Slamming a massive claw into a nearby Erinye that was attepting to take a bite out of the fallen bird, kirisa walked up next to him and smirked. "You're gonna be soooo mad for this" she grinned. Placing a claw on the open wound, she began to flood it with healing magick. After the treatment was complete,Kirisa leftBakher to wake up on his own and re-joined the fray.

Kaishin continued to make his wauy through the forest, until the scents of the human village filled his nose. "Guess it's too late to turn back now" he said and walked into the village. Several people turned to look at the large wolf that had entered their domain, but did nothing. The truth was that he had been here before, many years ago. And due to what happened here then was the reason Kaishin had returned. Walking upto a large hut at the far end of the village, he scratched at the door and waited for a response.

Leran sat down in front of bakher. He waited for him to wake up. He noticed that his paws were basically blocks of ice. He hit the ground shattering the ice off them. "allways happens..."

Kirisa clawed a few more Furies, turning them into a fine mince. "Oi! Birdbrain! Just how long do you intend to sleep?" she called out. One Erinyes leapt at her and sank its fangs into her hind leg, its teeth breaking against her rock-hard scales.

Kaishin sat at the doorway of the Shamans hut, waiting for an answer. Much to his suprise, once the door opened, the one whom answered it was a beautiful wolf anthro. The shaman also greeted Kai at the door, his eyes showing suprise. "Well I'll be... I cant believe you actually returned. Though I did suspect that you would someday"
Kai nodded and walked inside, shifting to his anthro form. "I did not think I would need to return ether... but things have changed. he forest is no longer as safe as it once was". He crossed the room and sat down on a chair in the corner, his eyes falling onto the female wolf. "So who is this?" he asked.
The shaman smiled, "Her name is Agata, she arrived here a few weeks ago and has been helpful as my assistant". He sat opposite of Kaishin, and sipped some tea that he had. "So I'm guessing that this is about the markings?"

Kaishin nodded, "Yes, it seems that I have need for the process to be completed... I have need of the power that it will bring"
The shaman sighed, he had a feeling that this day would come. "I can do this... but there is no garentee that the process will be successful, you might not be able to handle it".
"I don't care!" Kaishin snapped back. "My family needs me, I need the power to protect them". He thought about the others at the Den and wondered how they were doing, if they were okay.
The shaman sat back in his chair. "Alright then, I'll do this... but don't haunt me if you die" he laughed. He turned to Agata. "Please fetch my things for me, we have a lot of work to do".

Agata had been going about her few chores when she heard a scratching at the door. "I wonder." She hummed softly to her self as she stopped what she was doing to answer the door while being escorted by the Shaman that had taken her in. Just as she opened it, the musk of wolf hit her, and soon her sight confirmed her nose. Agata was a bit taken back by the large, male wolf at the door. It was a pleasant surprise, actually as it had been awhile since she had seen another being with fur. Her ears pricked forward, tail gently swaying. Just as Agata was about to step aside and invite him in when the Shaman broke the silence. Agata simply stepped aside, watching as the wolf came right on in and shifted.
When the Shaman introduced her, Agata smiled brightly, bowing her head slightly with a soft 'hello'. Even though she stayed out of their way, as they obviously had business together, her hypnotic eyes were focused more on the wolf before her. Human company was great and all, Agata actually owed them, especially the Shaman for allowing her to stay here, but nothing could compare to her own kind. Agata escorted the pair, half way listening to their conversation but not picking up on key points as it was none of her business. That was also her reason for not joining them at the table, instead she stood near by, waiting for when she was needed. As the conversation progressed, the wolf seeming to become irritated, she couldn't stop her self from jumping slightly once his voice rose even though it was not directed at her. Soon enough, she obtained her orders from the Shaman, nodding once before padding off to get anything and everything he could possibly need from ceremonial garb to all sorts of supplies.
Once Agata returned, she set everything down and prepared an area for the pair to work in. She stepped aside once more before speaking. "Let me know if I can help."

The shaman took a brush from his bag and began to paint a magic circle on the ground. After a few moments, the symbol was complete. "Okay Kaishin, stand in the circle and we shall start the ritual". He turned to Agata. "Make sure no-one enters this hut, the ceremony must not be intrupted".

Kai stepped onto the circle and his fur began to stand on end whilst his markings began to glow a forest green colour. He could feel the magical energies building up inside his body, straining to get free.
"I need you to keep your magic in check" the shaman instructed. "If you use magic now, the results would be devastating". He closed his eyes and began to chant, waving a staff around and using it to draw smokey symbols in the air.
the symbols began to move towards Kaishin, and as they touched his fur, they began to add to the symbols already on his body.
Kai gritted his teeth and growled. the pain was excrusiating. It felt like his whole body was on fire. After nearly an hour, the ritual was over and the shaman stopped chanting. Kaishin fell to the ground, panting heavily. that was the most painful thing he had ever experienced.

The Shaman smiled, he knew that Kiashin was strong enough to survive this, it was the reason he had chosed the wolf in the first place. He looked at Agata, who had stood guard the whole time. "Thank you" he said, "Could you please fetch soem water for our guest? He's probably quite thirsty.... I could also use some tea".

With an obedient nod, Agata placed her back firmly against the door so she could still watch what was to take place. Shamanism had became something of a hobby of hers as it could be so beneficial to those around her. It wasn't long before things were started up. Her multi-hued eyes widened as the markings started glowing and eventually more and more were added. Once signs of pain was seen and heard, grinding teeth, growling, her ears fell flat against her head. Agata hated knowing that this whole process was hurting him. Not because they were alike in both being wolves, but because she hated any living creature to be in pain.

As his body started swaying, then falling, Agata took a half step forward as if she was going to rush to him before he did, but as she completed that small bit of movement, it was too late. Agata glanced up worriedly at the Shaman. He seemed so calm and confident, something that reassured her. "Yes, sir." She responded to the request, going off to get a tray that had a tea pot and cups along with a pitcher of water and a tall glass. Agata set the tray on a table and prepared the tea before filling a cup with it. Then she turned her attention to pouring the water into the larger glass. She made her way to the wolf's side, pulling his head into her furry lap before offering the water to him. She didn't mind caring for either of them. It was something she actually enjoyed and it made her feel useful. "Your family is lucky to have you." She said to him with a soft smile.
