I've actually always been a fan of Jim Carrey, for the most part... Even as a kid, though I never understood most of his jokes, I loved his wacky antics.
The movie was actually very enjoyable. I've never seen or heard the tale, so I expected it to be some yuppy Disney christmassy children's tale. The tale was moving to say the least and there were a few things that I didn't like, but that was mostly due to personal tastes. I enjoyed Scrooge's initial personality since I can familiarize myself with it, to some extent. The 'hauntings' which set the story were spectacular in its narrative; the special effects, simply breathtaking. I obviously can't complain about the actin-err... voice acting. Jim Carrey played Scrooge as well as the three ghosts, among others...
I'd have to reccomend it, in all honesty...
I had regular thanksgiving dishes, thank goodness! Thanksgiving is my family's time to turn us all into guinnea pigs for fancy dishes I never end up liking. I've had to make myself some mac and cheese more than once because I only liked one, or none of the things they'd serve. But this time, it was just a well-seasoned turkey served with rice and "gandul", which is a sort of traditional local pea, of sorts. The rest of the family had egg salad, stuffing, and some bread-cake blessed by a priest. I didn't like neither of these, but my meal was very delicious as it was simple. After that, I ate garlic/bacon/turkey sandwiches for the past... three days.
Apparently, I've starved myself so bad in the past few months that I've been craving these fatty and greasy meals. I can't help it! College is not conductive to your physical health... >..> ::is going to be pulling two or more all-nighters this week::
After Thanksgiving, it's all been reading and hanging out with my best friend since it'll be the last time I'll see him until after the 21st of December. And after 3 weeks of my absence, my room developed enough mold to cover half my pillow and a third of my futon. I've been sleeping in the couch since.
My life is as eventful as Joel Barish's from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind... minus Clementine (kate winslet), of course...
In any case, I'll be taking a while to post since I'm trying to memorize the last of my binomial nomenclatures and working on my chemlab exam. While attempting and failing to ignore this MASSIVE feeling of dread I've had for most of the day.
