Leora blinked in amazement. "It's beautiful . . ." she uttered softly in awe.

Michael giggled, apparantly liking the word that his mother used. "Buh! Buh!" he exclaimed happily and clapped his hands together.

Michelle's face when she looked at the garden seemed literally identical to her mother's. Which caused Lance to chuckle lightly.

Lance was only slightly surprised to see the garden, it seemed different from the last time, but that was probably just Alexis' way of changing things slightly to perfect it. She loved the garden more than anything else after spending so much time and work on it. She'd be very hurt if anyone messed it up or destroyed anything, which is why she kept Leora's family from knowing about it. As friendly as she was, she still believed that humans were far more clumsy than vampires and might accidentally, or purposefully, destroy her precious plants. Lance smiled at Leora and beckoned her to follow him. "Don't touch any of the plants here, by the way." He advised her. "This is Alexis' pride and joy."

Leora chuckled as she followed Lance, continuing to look around in wonder. "Duely noted." she said with a smile.

Lance led her through the garden and then into a forest that lay behind it. After about a minute's walk, he led his family into a clearing where what seemed to be a copy of the garden lay. Though, in this one, it wasn't quite as grand and it wasn't tended to hand and foot. But, also in this garden, there stood a miniature playground, with a swing set, a slide, and a merry-go-round and what not. "Alexis and I designed this while you were pregnant." He explained with a proud and loving smile.

Leora's eyes lit up happily and she turned to Lance with a wide smile. "Oh Lance!" she said happily and then crossed over to him quickly and placed a kiss right on his lip.

Lance kissed Leora back and then grinned. "I take it, you like it?" He asked her with a joking chuckle before looking down at their son and daughter, Michael and Michelle. Michelle looked back up at them with a light smile, without a care in the world.

Leora smiled. "I don't like it . . . I love it." she said softly and then stood on tiptoe to whisper in his ear, "But not as much as I love you." she said lovingly and then pulled back before looking at Michael and then looked at Michelle. "Let's put them in the swings!" she said happily as she started heading toward said part of the playground.

Lance smiled lovingly and followed after his wife and son with his daughter in his arms. When they got to the swing set, Lance placed Michelle on one of the two swings.

Michelle immediately felt off balance and instinctively, reached for the chains holding the seat with her undeveloped muscles. Then, she watched her father get behind her and gently push her back, causing her to swing forward a bit and she smiled with delight.

Leora placed Michael in the other swing so that he was facing her and he also clung onto the chains on either side, making small frightened noises.

Michael looked at his mother with large, frightened eyes, but saw her smiling at him as she gently pushed the swing causing him to move forward and then move back towards her. The fright left and he giggled, finding the movement to be entertaining.

Leora giggled a bit as well at her children's delight with the swings and she pushed a bit harder, causing Michael to go back a bit higher and then come down towards her again.

He let out a laugh as he swung back down towards her, letting go of the chains and reaching out towards his mother happily, his little legs kicking.

Lance smiled lightly when he saw his son's delighted smile and heard his joyous laugh. It made him remember his own childhood, though unlike he and Leora, his parents had been strict and harsh, making sure that if, or in this case, when his father died, he would be able to take the throne and be a strong king, much like his father. Now that he was centuries older and his father had died, he wondered if, when he took the throne, he wouldn't be the man his parents had prepared him to be. He pondered this to himself as he continued to push his joyful daughter on the swing.

As Michael continued to be pushed by his mother, he looked over towards his dad and reached out for him. "Da!" he called out happily, laughing quite a bit. "Dada!" he called out again as though wanting his dad to see how 'high' he was going.

Leora stopped pushing. Her son just said his first word . . . "He said his first word . . ." she said softly, smiling as tears watered in her eyes. It was definately bittersweet. Michael was growing up so fast . . .

Lance smiled at Michael, then looked sympathetically at his wife when he noticed her eyes watering up. He stopped pushing Michelle and went over to Leora before wrapping an arm around her and holding her close. "Don't cry, Leora. These these things happen, it's a part of nature for them to grow quickly, but at least they'll live forever." He murmured into her ear in a soft, soothing tone

Leora sighed and hugged her husband. "I won't cry Lance . . ." she murmured softly.

Michael looked confused as his swing started slowing down. He frowned and then let out a cry. He wanted to keep getting pushed!

Lance hugged Leora back with one arm while he reached an arm out behind her and began pushing Michael before switching to Michelle and back again.

Michelle giggled happily as her father pushed her and she swung back and forth.

Leora sighed as she regained her composure and took over pushing Michael, smiling at Lance as she did so. "When should we move to the slide?" she asked with a bit of a laugh.

Michael laughed, happy that he was being swung once again.
