[Zahzi]

"...When I was still a child, our village was pillaged by another country's soldiers. I was the only survivor."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"So I heard." Atella nodded again. "Course, I just heard your parents were slaughtered before you, and you killed the soldiers who did the dead." She added in.

"...My Mom died giving birth to me, and because of that my Dad started drinking. When he drank, he gambled. He eventually worked himself into a large debt he couldn't pay, so in exchange for it he offered other items he possessed instead of money he didn't have. I ended up getting offered..."  

[Zahzi]

"I was still a child when I was drafted into our military. I have been in countless battles, of countless wars."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"To my understanding, all men are drafted at one point." Atella sighed heavily. "Though it seems wrong to take in a child."  

[Zahzi]

"I had killed every soldier that had gone into that village..."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"At least you managed to avenge those of your past." Atella said with a heavy sigh.  

[Zahzi]

"There was nothing left of my life, so I devoted my entire being to my military career."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"And then you got people with nothing to be devoted to." Atella groaned.  

[Zahzi]

"Were that the case, you would not be alive."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"But it is the truth. I have nothing to really fight for." Atella said blankly. "I'm not even sure why I still breathe."  

[Zahzi]

"Did you not defeat that gladiator?"  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Yes, but I'm not exactly sure why I did."  

[Zahzi]

"Survival."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Perhaps. But why would I want to survive?"  

[Zahzi]

"That is your own answer."
