Like Hamlet.
I'm the same.

Can you drop the classes to save your average? Or at the very least, audit them? Do you need them for the transfer?

Are you sure there are no scholarships for you?
English as a second language? Proficiency in writing? Heritage?

PostPosted: Tue Dec 08, 2009 9:54 pm
If I drop the classes, that means that I won't get the credit or the payment for my undergraduate research.
And I spent at least 6 or 7 months working on it, and I need that money.
I've had to borrow from my tuition savings because my maintenance (food, whatnot) costs exceeded my mother's very limiting budget of $50 a week.
Also, the last day to partially drop out had definitely passed, and a total dropout is likely gone as well.

I like in the american provinces where everybody is a minority,
and neither do we get most of the scholarships available at the mainland.
Many of these depend on my mother's salary or a 3.0+ GPA.
Neither of which are eligible.

I need the credits for the transfer,
and I'm literally at the last week of classes.
Even if a dropout was possible,
I'd be beheaded before I can choose my courses for the next semester.

I'm not familiar with Hamlet, so I can't really understand...
but I should try to get back to my studies.
Despite the fact that whenever I look at the material, I feel even more trapped and helpless.

Read Hamlet. If it's not Shakespeare's best, it is very nearly so. Definitely one of my favorite.
His works lose much if they are not discussed, however. So I suggest reading it with friends, or me and you can chat as you finish each act or so^^

Once I realized that if I really try, I understand almost perfectly, my abhorrence for Shakespeare quickly turned to adoration.

Sucks. Sucks badly. Apply yourself. One more week, then you can collapse! Ganbatte! Fight-o! Vive le Nadi! «two thumbs up»

Watch lots of comedy to get you through the stress.

I gave up. I posted for Celestial. Can you tell how much I worship her? xD

I usually have something that can distract me and I'd study in small bursts, but I can't focus on anything BUT the doomsday clock in my head.
I'll probably pop a few advil for the massive headache I've developed the past hour.
And it's possible that this is just my low blood-sugar stage of dread and paranoia.
I hate my bloody pancreas...
it drives my brain- and me- insane.

It's the same for me and Nietzsche.
I'm reading his 'Beyond Good and Evil' and I find that I need someone to discuss it with if I'm going to fully understand it.
It's just so dense!

I read your post,
or at least to some extent.
I'm really only registering words,
and couldn't focus enough to make it all the way through.

I did notice it's very well-written, though.
I like your style,
it's quite elegant!
Then again, your general written speech is very graceful to start with.

I have a friend who practically worships Nietzsche! xD
Dunno much about him though.

Man.. I love modernized edwardian and victorian styles. LOVE. I want them. So bad. SO BAD! But they are hard to find, usually quite expensive, and impossible to fit right.

I could design and sew them myself, which I have some experience in, but I have a craptastic sewing machine and don't have the skill necessary for such intricate work. I have a friend who may be able to sew it, but she's so ridiculously busy I don't know how she has time to breathe.

I WANT THEM!

«pouts»

So instead I will live vicariously through Joy's outfits in my head and continue to surf through photos and drool on my keyboard. If I was a faster drawer I could at least put my designs on paper, but I suck immensely at ruffles, and am even worse at drawing lace. Sigh.

Going to bed, now, though.
G'Night!

You double posted, so I will too. And I will stay up for your answer cause I'm super egotistical like that^^

I'm assuming this is the post in the hospital, and not the one in the Event?
Thank you, I view Celeste as an elegant lady and am happy my writing reflects this!
I like to be verbose, but only to the extent that it doesn't seem so. xD

I won't take offense to your not finishing. I understand what exhaustion and a headache can to do your processing abilities.

I'm glad you like my style! I'm really working to improve it, because it's one thing I find lacking in myself and that normally brings so much to a written piece.

I like being called graceful!^^
It detracts from my real life's general clumsiness.

My coworker's husband called me polished. xP

Oh!
I thought you were talking writing styles for a moment there!
That was...
confusing to say the least.

Ah, Nietzsche has helped me through a lot of troubling times.
He's a great read, usually in a secondary source, for someone who's going through difficulties.
Though, in essence, it's just one very elegantly written from of,
"SUCK IT UP!"
"You'll feel better if you do!"
3nodding

You lost me at modernized...

My writing style switches from-

" Hey he knows some big words, probably in college"

to

" Hip, a hippy to the hip hip hop and you don' stop"

Ah, sorry.
Fashion.
Though I'm usually indifferent to my appearance, especially shoes and makeup, show me some aristo stuff and I melt into a puddle.
I actually love fashion, and would take a career in it, but like costume design, interior design, art, directing and pretty much everything else I love, it's a one in a million chance at true success.
And I'm not a gambler.

Though, if I get a law degree and become a CA and get paid $1000 an hour, I'm splurging on clothes. Splurging. Though I'll probably still be a cheap b***h about it (what can I say, I'm dutch) and will probably hire a seamstress to make my designs a reality.

I love eccentric dress.

Lady Gaga is a disgrace to eccentric fashion. I like her music, but can't stand her. Almost everytime she pops up, she disgraces fashion in one way or another. Ick

Ahh, fashion. I could continue for hours. It's a weird love affair. Unless I was dressed up, you would never guess my affliction. I should take photos when I'm all done up in whatever I could dig from our dressup box, Mom's clothes and some master skillz at making something into something different.

I'm going to a party on the 18th at which I can go crazy and will be praised for it. Maybe I can convince my brother to dress up too.. though he's going to the bar. Hasn't stopped him before then.

I already know what I'm wearing. I almost wore it for Halloween, but when I realized it was perfectly acceptable, I decided to save it. It's a monochromatic ode to the horse race scene in 'My fair Lady', but then the bottom of the outfit changes to pure me. I made a makeshift bubble skirt, and it ended up really short, so I'm nervous, but I'm wearing opaque leggings and will be around good friends the whole night.

It restricts my ribcage and digs into my hips^^
Ah, pain for fashion!
I love the feeling when you take it off in the end. xD

Sorry, I digressed..

Edwardian: late 1800s
Victorian: Early 1900s
Modernized: no corsets, crinoline as opposed to hoop skirts

I wanna take a fashion history course, but we don't have one at my school.

I DID IT AGAIN!

Uh.. I've had enough of people telling me to SUCK IT UP. Even me.
All I want is someone to let me mope about it so I can get it out of my system.

I have a habit of double posting more than editing.
It's usually because sometimes the forums progress so far that edits often go unnoticed.

As for me, I like going for the full-on verbose.
I like it!
I think it's one way for me to brag to myself over how far I'd gone over the years,
and because I find it most aesthetic and thus very poetic.
It pleases the senses, in my perspective.

And I like being told how my arguments are so amazingly structured,
so it may detract from the sheer entropy that has rules over my mind.

My sister is the exact same thing.
Now, she's using that creative vision in architecture.
Building houses and whatnot.
either that or build and run a small 5-star inn or hotel.

I also love the aristocratic look...
That's why I only have a single photo I actually cherish.
The one I'd shown you guys with the blazer, blue shirt, expensive jeans, and fancy t-shirt.

And that's why most of my characters reflect this.
I'm always into that graceful elegance and majestic beauty type of thing.
It's a recent pop-up thing...
dunno where it came from.

And the reason why I'm not up there reading Nietzsche is because I want to be grumpy and miserable in peace.

Awesome, Spazzy!
::bows down in reverence::
I like the eccentric combinations!

Nice Pazz!
Loving the shorts/pants and the one stocking!

Well, you are accomplished, and that is good. I like to pretend modesty, even if I don't actually have any. It helps when you want to manipulate people.

Tattoo socks, whut?
I THINK I COULD PULL THIS OFF
Floral lace tights! Drool!
WANT BOOTIES
TWEED BLOOMERS? I'm in heaven!
Coats? Yes please!
More demure, still gothic
Whimpers

Alrighty, no more picspam.

Yeah, I plan to look for employment at some kind of creative firm. So I can be close to it, and maybe dabble, and if it turns out well, I can jump full in, while still having a fall-back.

I'm also a big fan of business clothes.. part of the reason I want a career in it. xD

EDIT:: Damn, a link broke. Removed.
