Marie Marie reached a hand up to wipe away the few tears that had escaped, and looked at him. "That's not why I'm crying," She replied leaning into him a bit, "It's not fair, you shouldn't have to live with it, you shouldn't have to worry about dying and pain and losing the people you care about to something like this. I don't want you to die." Marie felt herself getting worked up and tried to calm herself but before she could she noticed her hands start glowing a bit with the energy she was releasing. That hadn't happened since she was a little girl. And after that she had shut herself off from the magic, not wanting it. But right now she knew that this was strong energy, and it wasn't bad ethier. She turned so she was facing him. "Vaul do you trust me?" She asked looking at him seriously. ((Why are you feeling down?))

Vaul Moon
Vaul nodded slightly at her comment. Although he began to wonder why she was crying but he was given an answer soon enough. The last part of her statement caught his attention but her feelings where welcomed. "Life is not fair but it is something that I must deal with" he said calmly. His gaze drifted towards her hands and they seemed to be glowing at this time. He wondered what it was that was happening to her but he did not question the matter at this moment. Upon hearing her next question he gave it some thoughts. "I trust you with my life Marie" he said as he looked over at her. She had saved it once more before and he did owe her a great deal and there was no reason he should not trust her.

Marie When Marie heard him say he trusted her, her hands began glowing brighter. She reached them up and put them on his shoulders, closing her eyes in the process. As soon as she made contact she could feel the energy leaving her hands and going into him. If she was right, then this would help him. she left her hands there and silently focused on her energy seeping into him, helping him. Even healing him, but she wasn't sure she could do that, she didn't think she was that strong. When the energy stopped she opened her eyes and swayed back a little bit. It had been a long time since she had done anything like that and took a slight toll on her, but she smiled and looked at Vaul. "Did that help at all?" She asked hoping it had.

Vaul felt her hands on his shoulder and a rush of energy filled his body. It was rather troublesome at first but his body began to consume it like water. When she finished her felt better then he had in the past year but he wondered how long it would last. " Surprisingly yes but I am not sure if it will last too long" he said in a calm voice. His gaze drifted towards her for the time being and he reached out and gave her a quick hug. After a few moments he released her form his grasp. "We should get going soon if you do not mind" he said. He could tell this was a draining experience on her and he was grateful for her help in the matter.

Marie Marie listened to his response and nodded, "Well hopefully it lasts long enough to give you some time from the pain." She replied and then her eyes widened when she felt herself being pulled into his arms for a hug, she grinned though and hugged him back happily. When he let her go and mentioned their leaving she nodded again. "You're right, it's a few miles to the next village and we should try to get there quickly, the woods aren't the safest." She commented trying to mentally map out the quickest and safest way of getting there. When she remembered an old trail her and Ella used to walk on, she bit her lip. If it was still there, they could get there quicker and safer.

Vaul Moon
Vaul nodded at her statement and hoped it did last some time as well but that seemed unlikely in his opinion. Although he did not mention this to her at this moment feeling it would be better for her. "Alright and you will lead the way" he asked in a curious tone. He was more then grateful to have her along seeing as she knew these lands and did offer him support in more ways then one. Releasing his grasp on her he slowly parted there bodies before picking him self up. He stood near her and extended one of his hands to help her up. "Lets get going and I will not eat until later" he said. It might be best for him to eat now but he just did not feel all to hungry at this moment.

Marie Marie took his hand and stood up. "We'll stop in the woods to eat, you'll want to have filled up before we get there." She nodded and then walked over to wrap the food up to bring with them. She was moving around quickly, a feeling of nervousness was washing over her. Sometimes when she saw her parents a meaner side of her came out, she hoped just this once she could bite her tongue and not snap at them. She figured she might though, Being around Vaul made her calmer then she was normally. When she was finished she nodded toward the door to let him know and then headed down the stairs, slowly though since she was still cautios of both her and him falling down them, and then out of the building. She grinned when she saw the path still there, a bit more hidden then it used to be but still there none the same,

Vaul nodded slightly at her statement and followed her down the stairs. He moved slowly and with caution seeing as he had not wish to fall down today. They made it down without any trouble and a few thoughts wandered about his mind as he walked beside her and he caught sight of this path. Although before they even went near it he mumbled a few words and a spell seemed to form in his hand but it just stayed there for the time being. He liked his ability to precast spells before needed them and it made him feel safer. "Hmm I don't like the looks of this but you are sure this is the fastest way to get there" he asked as he looked over at Marie. It did not seem safe to him but then again they did not have too much time to spare. regardless of what happened however he would follow her into those woods seeing as she trusted her.

Marie "It isn't the safest, there are a lot of nasty things on that trail, but it is the fastest. If we take the road it will add time onto our arrival." She sighed, she knew there would be trouble on this path, she could feel it. Almost like a bad energy calling to them, but she couldn't think of a faster way to get there, and time was of the essence. As soon as they were five feet into the trail she saw why she sensed trouble. Peter was a few feet in front of them. She knew from his stance he was looking for trouble and their luck would have it, they were going to be the trouble. She put her hand out and touched Vaul's chest, turning her head she went to signal to turn around but her foot moved the wrong way and she snapped a twig. She swore silently and cringed when she heard Peter come toward them. "So is this the "visitor" He slurred emphasizing the word visitor, he gave Vaul the same look we would give an enemy.

Vaul Moon
Vaul was not pleased with her statement but time was not something they could waste at this time. A few thoughts crossed his mind at this mind as he followed her into the forest and he saw a figure in front of him. He got her signal and began to move the other way but it seemed someone snapped a twig or something and the man turned to face them at this moment. He looked over at the figure and caught his glare. "I am" he said in a calm voice. He knew what was going to happen here and they could not avoid it but he could cause some trouble for the man without causing him to much harm. He did seem to be intoxicated. 'How should we deal with him" he asked as he looked over at Marie.

Marie Marie heard Vaul but wasn't quite sure which move to make. If they attacked, Peter could end up causing damage to them, but if they ran he would follow. Ethier way they were in trouble. "I suppose we try convincing him to leave, if that doesn't work, we have to forcibly stop him. We can't have him following us." Marie replied worry creasing her brow. She had known Peter a long time, and he was a very bad drunk. "Walk away Peter." She tried telling him but he was focused on Vaul. He took a moment to turn to her and say "You protect this over your own?" And she wanted to slug him for that comment alone but then he spoke again. "You dare speak to me?" He glared at Vaul, he took a step closer and Marie's hand went to her blade. If he made a move, she would drive it into his stomache. Peter didn't move though, instead he tried staring down Vaul. "What the hell are you?" He asked looking Vaul up and down.

Vaul Moon
"I will deal with him if nothing" Vaul said as he looked back over at the man. The man seemed to be a real pain in the a** and reason seemed to be out of the question. "A person just like any of you" he said in a calm tone. This was merely to distract the man as he played around with the spell he held in his hand. A few thoughts wandered about his mind and he noticed that she was ready to draw her blade and kill this man. Reaching out his placed his free hand on hers. "That is unneeded" he said softly. "I would suggest you leave now Peter" he said brining his gaze to the other man. Although before he could speak or act he threw a quick spell at the man and it would knock him to the ground and the earth it self would restrain him.

Marie Marie's hand relaxed when Vaul's hand touched it and she stopped reaching for her blade, She was surprised Vaul was taking this so calmly, he had every right to be angry when Peter was saying such horrible things. She stepped back in shock though when she suddenly saw Vaul throw a spell at Peter that knocked him down. Turning to Vaul she felt the need to apologize for Peter, but she knew they had to get out of here now, Peter had friends and they would eventually come looking for the drunk man. "We should go." She said stepping on Peter as she walked by him, she was angry that he had been so horrible, but she shouldn't of expected anything less. There were some nasty people around these parts. When they got a little bit away Marie turned to Vaul, "Are you alright?" She asked concerned.

Vaul Moon
"You should learn to treat others with respect or you might find you self worse off" Vaul said. It was a warning to this man and it would be best for him to follow it. If he tried to cause him or her any harm it would be the end of him and anyone that stood with him at that time. A few thoughts wandered about his mind and he began to walk from the man. Upon hearing her question he looked over at her. "I doing fine your spell seems to be working for now" he said. He was more then thrilled that it had worked and it seemed the mechanical parts of him where also feeding off the energy. His pace was slow however and he was following the path in front of him. Looking to his side he noticed it was a steep hill of sorts and he would be careful. Taking a few steps forwards he felt something give out and a moment later he was sent toppling down the hill. He can to a stop when his back hit a large stone and his body laid there motionless on the ground. His condition was unknown to him at this moment bit nothing should be broken and it was more of shock then anything else.

Marie Marie grinned when he said her spell was working. "It wasn't a spell, when I was a child I used to gather energy up sometimes. My grandmother thought it was because I had too much energy that my body was trying to release some of it." She walked slowly so as not to get too far ahead of him and when she saw him start to fall she reached out a second too late, she watched in horror as he fell down the hill. "Vaul!" She screamed running down to where he was, she had no idea how badly he was damaged and was afraid to find out. Reaching his side she dropped to her knees. "Vaul, are you okay? How badly are you hurt? Can you move at all?" The questions fell out of her mouth as her panic rose. She wanted to check and see if anything was broken but wasn't sure if she would cause more damage by doing so, she was terrified.
