dramallama The Yuffie Kisaragi reference was obvious. The uniformed man was supposed to be Reeve right? I think he was in the main ff7, but i only know him from ff7: Dirge of Cerberus.

A very nice fight. I enjoy reading long posts, double that for action-packed posts. I'd reccomend shrinking the text size next time because it looked like a pretty formiddable wall of text. I liked the creativity, especially utilizing Joylre's gauntlets.

This RP is off to a great start, I really enjoy the creativity from all of you guys. Hope this one finishes all the way through.

Yes to Yuffie. No to Reeve. The black hair and blue uniforms are similar, but the character I mean to reference has distinctly long hair. Like Sephiroth long.

I don't really like shrinking my text. It's just not my style of writing for this RP.

As for the question Lythe posed earlier about an all-ways simulcast. That kind of attack would be incredibly powerful an difficult to control, even at their current level it would cause wide-spread destruction. However, at the end of the RP they will be able to control it and use it against the final enemy. Something that magnificent is best saved for last. whee

And Reeve was in the main FFVII. He was the one who was in control of Cait Sith the whole time, playing double agent by helping both Cloud and Rufus Shinra until he finally made up his mind on his obligations and stuck with Cloud.

I don't have the time to Wiki the characters from every final fantasy and find out who the gunner was. But I enjoy the references smile Btw, feel free to put up new polls as you see fit in the RP, I always like to see other's opinions on different subjects.

...do my eyes deceive me? the RP now reads (Full) ?! OMGYAY! So do we have an oustide Earth Bearer now? Or is it one of us taking on that role?

It's a surprise that I have planned. I'm keeping the Earth Crystal back for now, but it will come up soon. The person who will play Earth doesn't mind waiting for it.

...I wonder if I'm the one in the roleplay who knows the least about Final Fantasy sweatdrop

Well, what games have you played in the FF series?

I think I played some of the older ones, but I don't remember if I finished all of them. I remember the one with Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin... I think that was the 3rd one. Might have touched the 1st and 5th one before. Saw the 7th, and haven't done anything past that.

*coughs*

I really only played XII (And XII for the DS, which is like a sequil). I've watched tons of others (tactics, X, X-5, 8, 5, and some others... *probably got all the numbers wrong, too.*) So I guess that makes me the least informed.

I REALLY didn't get the Gilgamesh ref. I love the guy (but hated fighting him), but as I said earlier- really just a XII girl. *coughbaschwranglerextrodinare*

You'll get that if you have the guide book.

OPEN OFFICE LIVES!!

I'm so glad. I have no other writing processor and it wasn't working yesterday. Don't know why. It works now, though. I'll be able to post tomorrow but it's late right now so I won't bother.

Yeah, this is bound to confuse you even more, but that FFIII you played... that was really FFVI. Only three Nintendo-era Final Fantasies were released in America, so they changed the numerals for them, but went back to normal when FFVII hit the Playstation.

I'll just summarize some of the plots so you can know for sure which ones you have played. I will not include any handheld or side-games, only the main series of console games.

WARNING! There are spoilers, though small ones for the most part. Don' read if you intend on playing them one day and don't want it to be spoiled.

FFI: The four warriors of light travel around the world to defeat the four elemental fiends and restore light to the Crystals, facing the embodiment of Discord, the God of it, Chaos in the end.

FFII (Not released in America originally): Firion an his allies fight to defeat the evil empire, eventually fighting and defeating the emperor himself.

FFIII (Not released in America originally): A new group of Warriors of Light gather together and try to protect the Crystals of Light and the Crystals of Darkness, eventually facing the powerful Cloud of Darkness.

FFIV (FFII in the first American release): Cecil Harvey, a Dark Knight of Baron, goes on a journey of redemption, becoming a Paladin and fighting to reclaim the captured Crystals, fighting against his brother, Golbez, and the one manipulating him, Zeromus.

FFV (Not released in America originally): Bartz and his companions try in vain to prevent the Crystals from shattering, and eventually come into a conflict with the entity that the shattering releases, ExDeath.

FFVI (FFIII in America originally): Terra, Locke, Sabin, Edgar, and a group of twelve other heroes all gather together to fight and defeat the source of their unhappiness, the evil ruler Kefka. To aid them, they use the Crystals given to them by the Espers, powerful summon spirits that Terra is the child of, making her an Esper as well.

FFVII: Cloud. Sephiroth. Jenova. Shinra Corporation. Meteor. If you need to know anymore, then I'll go into more depth.

FFVIII: Squall and his fellow mercenaries are raised from a young age to fight and defeat Sorceresses. They end up going to the future to defeat the powerful sorceress that had manipulated Sorceresses in the past to try to eliminate said mercenaries that were supposedly meant to kill her one day.

FFIX: Zidane Tribal and his friends fight to stop the conquest of the Alexandrian Kingdom, eventually uncovering a plot by a world in another dimension to absorb their own world by causing an endless flow of death and interrupting the flow of souls. They fight against the embodiment of the death in order to prove the meaning of the Will to Live and prevent the end of everything.

FFX: Tidus is swept 1000 years into the future and protects the summoner Yuna in her journey to master the Final Aeon and defeat a monolith of destruction named Sin, made from the soul of his own father. Forsaking the Final Aeon, which only perpetuates the rebirth of Sin, they fight it themselves and defeat the ancient summoner that forever summons it, Yu Yevon.

FFX-2: Yuna returns on a journey to find spheres, hoping to find some clue as to the whereabouts of Tidus, who vanished at the end of X. In the end, she fights a giant machina that uses the power of the Farplane to try to destroy everything. This act convinces the souls of the departed Aeons to bring back Tidus to live with Yuna once more.

FFXI: Don't care. It's an MMO, so it doesn't count. xp

FFXII: Vaan and a group of rag-tags fight to save the world of Ivalice from the empire that threatens to conquer all. (Can't remember the name for the life of me right now.) On their journey, they also learn the secrets of the Mist, Magicite, and Nethicite, all powerful forces that influence the course of their adventure.

FFXIII: I haven't learned much about this one really, but I plan to eventually. All I know is that they have their Eidolons forcibly implanted in them by another Eidolon called Anima.

This is just off what I leeched from my time watching my friend play a bit of FFXIII, it's probably only half correct.

What Drac said is mostly correct, with the main group of that game having their Eidolons forcibly put into them. The basis of that final fantasy world is there is the main planet called Cocoon. And there is a smaller planet called Pulse floating above it. The pseudo-religious government called The Sanctum, decides to purge all of the citizens who have come into contact with the Pulse world because (if they encounter a certain being from Pulse, they become 'servants' to what I've come to understand is their version of The Great Will). So yeah, with that basic info, you can tell that a certain group of citizens don't feel like being 'purged' and so embarks the long storyline of that game (Which has the most freakin amazing graphics I've ever seen in a video-game!)

Were I not working a minimum wage job, I'd have the cash to spare and go buy a PS3 and just that game. *hint hint mom and dad, possible christmas present? sweatdrop *

The Sanctum in that game definately reminds me of the Yevon clergy from FFX...just with twice as much power and corruption lol. And I do love FF games that place the name 'Cid' for one of the main villains/antiheroes.

Yeah, Yevon wasn't all that intimidating in X. Yu Yevon, however, was hard as balls unless you had gotten more than the minimal weapons and levels. If you ent beyond their individual sphere-grid routes and got the celestial weapons, Yu Yevon was cake. Granted, it was impossible to lose against him, but it took forever without some boosts to your power.

I've played and owned every final fantasy, including the two MMOs. ^^; However, I'm terrible with names and have a very poor memory... But! My favorite was FFVI and I'm super excited that Tina/Terra is finally being made into a figure from Dissidia. I preordered it and am eagerly awaiting it! (if you're curious here's the figures!)

I've been thinking of a song for Miya too, despite that being a old topic, so keep on the lookout for that. 3nodding

Back to my paper on pastiche... Post Classical Cinema is killing me. crying Pray for me.

Lol. School is the worst, isn't it?

Well, there's one thing I'm sure you're not going to like about the new Dissidia 012. (Also called Dissidia Duodecim) From what I've heard Terra is going to be on the side of the Warriors of Chaos. She even has the slave-crown on her head in the CGI cutscene that has been seen so far.

http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100922124456/finalfantasy/images/9/9f/Terrad012closeup.png (Couldn't get it to appear as an image. sweatdrop )

I believe that is the slave-crown. She also looks fairly blank and emotionless despite being a very emotional person. Damn you Kefka! You delightfully evil b*****d!

But, on a positive note, Kuja is a good guy! He's a Warrior of Cosmos! Yay! ((If you couldn't tell, I like Kuja. He never really was a bad guy, just arrogant and afraid of death.)) Check the link for all kinds of Final Fantasy yumminess in one game.

thought I would jump in now sense there seems to be talk about Final Fantasy lol

The ones I have played are dissidia, FFVII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2 and also FF Crisis Core.
FF Crisis Core had to be my favorite cause it goes into Zack life. wahhh I miss Zack!! He was my favorite character!
I do agree with you Draconia. Kuja wasn't really a bad guy. I liked him a lot in FFIX. Along with Zidane and Vivi
