She sighed into the kiss, letting her hands play with his ears. When he pulled away and spoke, she smiled, laughing breathlessly.

"Oui, I don't mind. And to be honest... I don't think savage suits you."

She stroked his cheek gently, her cheeks pink.

"Mon Amour, Oui? Now that seems more fitting.", she smiled radiantly.

"True amoure suits me but do not speak of my savagery until the solstice. Then you will see what I am."
he chuckled lightly as he pulled her behind the waterfall to a small cave with a large flat stone in the middle where Nikolai had been happily chasing his tail as well as a rather large moth
"I figure we can dry off here and zen find another place to take our furry friends oui? " he said ah he tickled his dogs belly

Gabrielle smiled and sat on the stone, running Espresso's tummy as she leaned against him. She was silent for a few minutes, thinking.

"What should I expect when the solstice comes?"

"Think of ze most 'orrific fit or rage you have ever seen, zen give it eight I ch claws and fangs and enough strength to throw a truck fifty feet. When it comes I want you to lock the door to my room and do not open it no matter how much I beg you. Do not open it until my transformation is done "

Gabrielle cringed and stiffened at how he described it
The young angel was horrified at the thought. Not kf him transforming nut the thought of leaving him to suffer that wretched state in isolation.

Drops of water clung to her hair as she sighed and scratched his ears. Things, it seemed, would get tougher from now on.

Seeing the look on Gabrielle's face., Jacques quickly thought of a way of cheering her up
suddenly he was struck by an idea
"Gabrielle,turn around for a moment please "
He walked to the center of the rock and was engulfed in a red and black swirl of fur
When the cyclone dissapated a massive wolf, the size of a polar hear sat where Jeice was and let out a massive bark that sent ripples through the water

Gabrielle's eyes widened and she squealed, running at the wolf and wrapping her lithe arms around its neck. Burying her face in its fur, she giggled and sighed.

"So warm!"

"You know" the wolf grunted "If you hold me too tightly i will not be able to speak"

Gabrielle blinked and blushed, loosening her arms on him.

"S-sorry.."

She gave him a peck on his nose and smiled warmly. If he was trying to put a ile on her face, it was working very fast and very effectively.

"It is quite alright, I should honeslty be used to it by now"
He shook his head and paced around the rock, followed by Nikolai who seemed happy to follow the monstrous transformation of his master
"This is another result of being turned by an elder. I can transform into what they call an alpha wolf"

Gabriellw followed him, along with Espresso. It slipped her mind that she had been hovering as they went over the rock.


"I see.. so what makes you different from other wolves?"

She was stroking his fur tenderly now, enjoyinh the feel of it.

"Well for starters im bigger, faster and stronger zan any regular wolf you'll meet"
He sat down and scratched his ear
"And that's about it. It's mostly a survival adaptation for the Siberian plain".

Gabrielle nodded and looked him up and down before perching on a rock. Her undies had finally dried off and she watched Nikolai and Espresso running around and chasing each other.

"And does the alpha male get lonely? I get lonely."

" I used to be lonely, not anymore though" he looked over at nikolai " I have him and a wonderful little sister"

She looked away and hugged her knees, playing with Espresso's tiny paws. No one ever liked her very much. When she was good friends, they rejected her saying she was too... good. Too... angelic in aura. When she had bad friends... well, they kept her around because she did everything they told her too. Gabrielle was always the black sheep. The odd one. But all she wanted was to belong.

She had fallen silent and she couldn't think of anything to say. Shaking her head, she stood up. It was always the same. Despite all that Jacques said, she had to face the facts. The friendship wouldn't last. She was too... stand-offish, as a lot of people put her. Best not to get involved. Attachment would hurt. Detachment would kill.

"...I should go. I have to get some sleep if I wanna make it to class in time tomorrow."

Time to walk out and cut the connection while it was still weak.
