When the blow dryer appeared in the air, Jerome just stared at it, not quite sure what to make of it, but seeing as he's had a ghost pokemon all his life, he knew this kind of behavior instinctively.
The Grunt jerked back when the sounds of something bursting up from the lower levels jerked everyone on guard, and left a confusing looking little pokemon hovering over the blow dryer.
Jerome arched an eyebrow at it, noticing how tiny it was.
Bro, thinking the same thing crossed his arms again, eyeing the other ghost type before floating over toward the pokemon

[Elevator Rotom, Tambery]
Faleen stepped back with Tambery, glancing over to where Izaya had run down to go help with the Mewtwo, Though leaves a couple of his pokemon behind to assist here. she was sure that there wasn't going to be much more trouble with this pokemon.
Narrowing her eyes at the Rotom, she snapped her fingers at Nachtara and Zoroark as they recovered from the first attack.
With a snarl the two dark types whipped around, bared teeth turned up to the Rotom.
Zoroark attacked with a Night Daze, while Nachtara attacked with a Foul Play. Banette, being hit with the Thunder Wave, threw his arms up over his head and drifted back when he was hit. not attacking this round.

[Aulus, Mewtwo]
One of the other Rockets came over, Absol glanced up to recognize Tortie's master. The large pokemon watched the human for a couple of seconds, as he went over to the mess of his team mate, and knelt down.
Turning away from the horrific sight, Absol narrowed his eyes, looking instead to where the Mewtwo had fled to. Umbreon was dead, there was no more he could do for him, but he still had a job to do. And a pokemon to deal with that will regret what it had done to Faleen's pokemon.
He wasn't sure if he would be able to catch up or not, but he had to at least try. Leaping easily over the fallen debris, Absol paused only for a second at the torn opening at the elevator, glanced up. and with he held of his natural dexterity and Arial Ace, leap up, and bounced from wall to wall, leaving long scraped in the concrete as he darted up after the Mewtwo

[Floor 2: Jerome, Alba, Rotom, Absol]
Inigo stared at the hair dryer in vague bewilderment, and was about to speak when the elevator doors made an ominous noise and a blur sped their way. He managed to dive off to one side just in time, while Oriana flew up and pressed herself against the corner where the wall met the ceiling. When Inigo stood up again, he stared at the Rotom, even more confused. Once again before he could speak, an Absol jumped out from the elevator as well.
What.
"Actually I'm not sure I have any idea what the hell's going on," he admitted as he scratched his head in pure confusion. Was this all some sort of crazy dream or something?

((Battle post! Remember that there are only 4 Rotoms in play prior to this posting, one of which is captured on Floor 01 and taken out of play during this post. On Floor -4, there are two very different battles taking place in separate locations. It just happens that both take place near elevators. Like taking a chemistry class on the opposite end of campus from a math class: they may both be on the ground floor, but you're still not going to see who threw that paper plane in the other classroom.
After this post: + There may or may not be anymore new wild Pokemon appearing as things start to wrap up. + If any new Pokemon appear, the appearances will be limited to characters that have already been in play before now. + Elvis Mewtwo has left the building! It can no longer be interacted with. + For these long battle posts, I'm going to start using spoiler tags. Hopefully this will make it easier to see which segments are directed to which characters.))

Wild Rotom was defeated!
"Good work you guys! I'll take that from here." An Agent from Security carrying a few Pokeballs in the crook of one arm jogged up as the Rotom drifted down to the floor in defeat. The little troublemaker was finally captured when the Agent pulled out and tossed a new Pokeball with her free hand. "I'll take these down to storage for processing. You should stop by there later after things get back under control. I hear these little fellas may get assigned out and put to use," she said with a wide smile. Her dex beeped, followed by a voice.
"Hey, hurry it up, will you! This thing may be out but we're still stuck in here!"
The Agent rolled her eyes, and offered a brief explanation to the few still present. "Some Trainees and a Grunt got themselves stuck in a bathroom with one of these, go figure. Thanks for the help!" With that, the woman jogged off in the direction of the admin offices.

The Fan Rotom gawked as one of the guys who had order attacks on it went running the other way. Well hey, two could play that game. This Rotom was OUTTA HERE! Unfortunately for the little flying fan of a Pokemon, it had been so distracted that it was caught completely off guard and its plan to run away foiled by being slammed into by Discord's Dragon Tail. It barely had time to recover and send out a pathetic Thunder Shock in retalliation before it was being intimidated by a Ghastly and confused by Jack. It scrunched its eyes shut with a whine and bumped into the wall a couple times.

The Rotom was really frustrated now! Most of the attacks sent its way struck true or grazed it. It was difficult to get a hit in, but it finally got enough of an opening to send a quick Thunder Shock at the opposing Pokemon that insisted on fighting it. Noticing the round object tossed its way by Rory, the Rotom gave an unimpressed look and zapped the item out of the air. ((If that wasn't a pokeball aimed at a Rotom, just ignore that last sentence for now and I'll edit it out later.))

The Rotom tilted in the air curiously when Bro spoke to it. It chattered something, sounding confused.
Why not? This was a big building with a lot of electrical things and plenty of people to trick. Wasn't it just like one of those buildings out in the city?

The intercoms came back to life once more, the voice all business
Attention. The Mewtwo is no longer inside the base. All Team Rocket members, please focus efforts on neutralizing remaining targets within the base.
When the microphone clicked off, Harvard was back to issuing orders. It wasn't that there would be no pursuit. Oh no, far from it. In the garage on Floor -1, a small team of Rockets had climbed into one of the smaller helicopters with firepower and quickly took off. They would ultimately fail in their mission, but that would not be known until several hours later.
As Rory arrived, with Lasi in two, Tam's eyes were drawn from the battle for a few moments, widening with a slight panic. "You're bleeding!" She stated the obvious, clearly worried, but noting, at least, he was still standing. She knew, though, she couldn't tend to that or focus on worrying yet. The pokémon in front of them was still, as the announcement had said, a target to be taken down. "Uh, hrm." The dark haired grunt moved closer to Rory, where she could at least steal a better glance at how hurt he was. Now she could instruct her pokémon, Wait, Rory wasn't the only one who was hurt; she frowned at the marks on Pinkie and the ones littering Lasi's back and wings; he could fly though, clearly. Another two to look after once this was done. The pokémon had hurt people, and pokémon important to her, while she'd been dealing with her stupid fear of this one. Fine.
"Ella, if you can move, use Mud Slap! Treestar, try your luck with Razor Leaf again! Lasi..." She frowned. Lasi was one of the pokémon she trusted most, but he was a flying type /and/ he was hurt too. She sighed and recalled the bat. "Lasi, return."
(OOC: If we're supposed to roll once per pokémon I can roll for Treestar again and this roll can be for Ella but I've only rolled once, for both, in this post, sorry.)

The Mud Slap worked well to distract the unhappy Rotom, and the Razor Leaf from Treestar at last finished the job. Drifting down in defeat, the Rotom disappeared in a red light.
"Good work," complimented the random Agent that had conveniently arrived just in time with an unused Pokeball. "There may be more floating around the base still. I guess if any of you need an idea of what to do next, you could try to track them down. Or go check in with your departments and make sure things are alright there. Up to you." The unnamed Agent finished with a shrug and walked away. He disappeared in the direction of the stairs seconds later.

[Floor -1, Xander]
Asch eventually came to a stop near the elevators and looked around with yet another scowl as nothing was there. Didn't look like the Mewtwo had come this way, although there were still emergency stairwells and other elevators to check and so forth. Having heard Xander's voice, though, Asch sighed impatiently.
"Fine."
He supposed that the other agent was right. As much as he hated to admit this fact. Tyke came bounding up, green eyes blinking and looking around in confusion. Just what was the fuss all about?
Xander came to a stop a little bit away from Asch and looked around as well. Thankfully nothing seemed out of place. "Alright, any preference whether we check on the emergency tunnel or the detention area first?" He said when Asch agreed. Just after that the announcement about the Mewtwo having left and that there were still other pokemon came over the intercoms and Xander let out a sigh.
Conrad and Zack, having caught us as well, looked to Xander to see what would be happening next.
[Frost]
Xander paused briefly before pulling out his 'dex and sending a quick text to Frost. {You alright?} He then put the 'dex away and focused back on what he should be doing now.
"Yeah, I noticed," Rory gritted out as the pain in his shoulder grew worse. The embed metal was making it almost to painful for him to move his right arm but he couldn't worry about that right now. Right now, he had to help defend the base.
Before he could call out another attack, Tambrey had given her own orders to the two of her pokemon to take out the Rotom. Once the Rotom was taken care of and the agent gave them their new orders, as well as the message from the elite that came over the intercom, Rory groaned as he recalled Pinkie and spotted Jace running back to him.
When Rory called Lasi and moved to leave, Tatl and Jack hesitated. As their trainer's partner, they knew him better than anyone else on that floor, but neither was really ready to turn and run from battle; particularly when the Rotom they were facing seemed to be fading fast. At last, Tatl decided to follow Rory while Jack remained behind. He was the more experienced of the two pokemon, for one, and Tatl didn't enjoy getting left behind. He would come find her when this opponent was defeated.
The Chandelure fell back to hover next to the evidently gleeful Serperior. Jack laughed merrily, firing a Hex the Rotom's way. With the damage the serpentine pokemon was doing, he doubted the other ghost would last much longer.
Meanwhile, Tatl kept up with Rory and Lasi, tailing along after them with purpose. She liked the human's go-getter attitude, but she could also see he was badly hurt. "Gaas?" she asked, looking at him dubiously. Silly human, pushing himself. Where was Shadow? He needed to help his partner. Tatl had half a mind to go back and get him. After all, Rory had the human girl and his own pokemon to keep watch over him in the meantime. Surley Jack could find his own way back. Decision made, she slipped through the floors to find her trainer where she'd left him.
Mairu and Riviere, once the Rotom was defeated by Faleen's and Tambrey's pokemon, stuck to the former while their own trainer was away. Idly they wondered where the female Rocket's most fierce and loyal pokemon partner was. They couldn't remember a time not seeing him at her side.
[Floor 1]
Shadow gaped at Lindsay's and Haunter's handiwork. They may not have liked each other much, but they fought together well enough. Of course, that was after Claire's, K.O.'s, and Frost's pokemon had weakened the Rotom, not to mention after Shadow himself had told Lindsay to stay out of it...but he couldn't say he was angry. The grunt simply stared as the Agent congratulated their little group and mentioned another trapped in a bathroom. "Heh heh..." His relief trickled out in the form of a few uncertain chuckles before slowly unleashing itself as a wave of laughter. "Hahahaahh! HA! WHOO! We did it!" Yeah, he may have been an idiot for overreacting with one small victory, but as a grunt and a hall monitor, it was a big triumph. "That was GREAT!"
As if to purposefully ruin this moment, a brilliantly glowing sphere of gas flew into his face and almost blinded him. "WHOA! Tatl, watch it! What're you doing here? Where's Jack?"
"Gaastly, gas, gas!" She told him frantically, moving about with much impatience. As he stared at her, perplexed, she flew toward the stairs and then back toward him, then up toward the stairs again and back toward him. At last he got the message. "Uh...right. Thanks, guys, but I gotta find my partner," Shadow told the two agents and the trainee. "See you later!" The boy then took off in the direction that Tatl indicated, her leading him on as he tore down staircase after staircase to the basement floor that Rory had mentioned earlier. He didn't trust technology much and he always loved to run, but the fact that Tatl had specifically indicated that he used the stairs was what really made his decision. Lindsay and Haunter hardly realized what was going on before they, too, were following suit.
[Floor -4, Seth, Aulus, Absol]
Well, Izaya was stumped. That wasn't what he had expected at all. "Heh...I'm not sure you're going to be fine if you're agreeing with me," the grunt chuckled uneasily. "Maybe you hit your head harder than you thought." Catching sight of Kururi trying to nudge the Elite's hand, the grunt made a noise of annoyance and snatched up her ball. "Kururi, that's enough. Return," he told her, firmly but gently. "Aoba...you too." Less gently, more firmly, and with hidden threats in his undertone. Aoba growled deep in his throat, but didn't resist when the red beam returned him to his ball.
"...I'd better leave you to rest, then, before you start to think you're in love with me," he teased grimly, observing all the blood that Seth was losing. He gingerly got up, his bitter smile disappearing altogether upon seeing Aulus closing Umbreon's eyes.
"Oi," he called to Hayes' partner. "What about you, Agent? Your mind isn't too badly messed up, is it? It's 'Knackura'. Remember me?"

[Floor 02 - Jerome, Inigo, Rotom]
Oriana hovered forward a few inches at the Rotom's obviously erroneous assumptions, and explained that oh no, this building was much different and it was very, very bad to interfere with electrical things here.
Before the Rotom could respond, however, an agent rounded the corner and tossed a pokeball at the wild pokemon. He picked the sphere up once it had dinged successfully, and offered a nod at the two grunts. "Good job guys. There might be more somewhere, so keep an eye out." That said, the agent disappeared again as quickly as he'd appeared.
Wild Rotom was defeated caught!

The Rotom was nearly down regardless, but Jack's Hex caught it off-guard as it tried to float away again, and the pokemon bumped into the wall again with a shrill cry.

[Unharmed,] was the quick reply. A moment later; [Target evaded me. Toast crumbs. Your status?] The frustration caused by his failure to get hold of the mark, and the horrible discomfort of crumbs going down the back of his neck may have made Frost's messages a little less helpful in places than they otherwise might have been.

Discord grinned nastily and aimed another Dragon Tail at his enemy. Just as he gloated however the serpent's muscles locked up and the sweep of his tail froze short of his target.
Aulus blinked heavily and raised his head as he heard Discord's continued chattering. It was kind of hard to focus but he had enough experience of getting the hell beaten out of him by now to know that he wasn't going to pass out, he was just going to be useless for a while. This however wasn't much good to him when he was still worried about more ceiling falling on him.

Summoned as if by magic, or perhaps by the desire to avoid angry Legendaries, KO rushed towards the group near to the Rotom, pulling more pokeballs from his belt. "Duke, Thunderbolt! Countess, Night Shade! Viceroy, Bite!"
It was not a good showing: Duke and Viceroy's attacks missed, and while Countess' connected the Rotom remained upright. KO made an impatient noise and waved his hand at the rogue pokemon. "Just take care of it!" he ordered, turning away from his pokemon and heading over to the fallen Elite.
((I'm assuming one dice per pokemon attacking, if I'm wrong disregard as many as appropriate!))

Needless to say, the Rotom was less than happy. Such meanies! In a last-ditch effort to get some freedom, it sent Confuse Ray out at its attackers.

[Those near the site of the Elevator-Rotom battle]
Tambrey seemed to deflate, a little, relaxing, as the electric-ghost went down. Thank Arceus the terrifying thing was gone for now. She didn't want to venture down the hall; didn't want to see the results of the more intense, terrifying sounding battle. The Agent was giving them suggestions on what to do and she blinked. Departments? The labs! What sort of state would they be in right now? She eyed the route down... No more Rotom, but still, after that, she was apprehensive about going to investigate. "I guess... The labs, um, need to be investigated."
[Rory] Then Rory's hiss drew her attention and she started toward him, worry plain on her face. "Hey. Wait. You're hurt!" She frowned, trying to get a better look at just how much.
Her pokémon dawdled, Lasi having been about to follow Rory once again, the three of them still out peering toward the blond man as they heard Tambrey worry.
Lasi stretched his wings and shook them, a little uncomfortably, noting, for the first time, the pain of the scratches he'd taken in trying to shield Pinkie, but, he supposed, they didn't hurt as bad as they might have. Some healing would be needed, but it wasn't near as urgent as some.
