[FIN] Finish the Promise

The hand on his shoulder remained where Sera had put it, though she was running out of things to say and do to help - not that she had many ideas to begin with. "Well we're not leaving without you. Nobody can keep you here if you don't want to stay," she said, then repeated pointedly, "Nobody." Ain't no dumbass fathers trying to lock this son in their Arceus-be-damned backwards-a** princess tower, nope. Not while they were there.

He nodded to indicate his comprehension, tension just barely beginning to ease away. For now, just survive. Everything else would follow that.

Sera's determination was always impressive to Rosie, once she had her mind made up about something, it was near impossible to detour her. Rosie loved that about her. And right now, where Rosie could feel the emotional exhaustion in the room, it helped spark a little more warmth into the atmosphere.

Rosie sniffed lightly, nodding in agreement to Sera with a gentle smile.
"Here." Rosie said to Luke after a moment, lifting the ice bag back up and placing it into his hand. "Use this."
She then reached over to put and arm gently around his shoulder, in a hug her chin on his shoulder.
"Its been a long day, and I bet everyone's tired... I know we have a lot to work out about tomorrow."

Rosie's words reminded Sera that she was indeed very tired, especially after the long day they had and getting woken up in the middle of the night to go find Luke and Yuri. When Rosie hugged Luke, Sera joined in too, effectively turning him into a sandwich again briefly. "Yeah," she added, "we do. We can do it though," the girl finished, her tone of voice hinting that she believed fully in those words. She let go then and leaned back to regard both of her best friends, "Rosie's right, we should probably get some sleep now." They would have to be at their best tomorrow to ensure they got Luke away from the island without any problems with his father.

He accepted the cloth-bound ice listlessly, holding it in his lap and making no distinct indications that he as much as recognized that there were still other people in the room. The idea of sleep was entirely unappealing; or rather, the memory of the dreams would inevitably come was. He nodded nonetheless, loosely understanding that Rosie and Seraphine probably didn't have the same reluctance towards sleep as he and were likely suitably tired given the events of the day.

She was worried about tomorrow, she couldn't lie to herself about that, she hoped that Yuri might have a better idea, since Rosie and Sera didn't know anything about Grand Ile, let alone how to get off of it without being stopped my the authorities who would probably still be looking for Luke.

Despite herself she let out a heavy breath, feeling anxious about the situation, and finding badly that she would like to just be back in Kodo right now, safe and sound.

Pushing herself to her feet, rubbing the top of her left hand as she glanced around the small foreign room.
It was kind of Yuri to let them stay here, it was much more preferable then going back to the hotel... "I feel so stupid for putting the name of where we were staying in that note." She signed, blushing again after considering for a second that maybe she should go change out of these clothes, only to remember that everything, from her other clothes to her MP3 player were back in the hotel room. Heck even her toothbrush and brush and... everything.
Everything but her pokemon, and her Poke Gear.
The morning was not going to be kind, though she was more used to it then she imagined Sera was "I'm sorry Sera."

A hand moved to her cheek, looking over to Sera apologetically.

"... Hey Luke." She said after a second, noticing that he had not moved at all, let alone move the ice pack to his face, where it would be doing some good.
"Did... did we upset you?"
He had been talking, though the longer they seemed to talk to him the further away he was slipping again. and like the hospital, he had fallen completely quiet, and motionless. She couldn't help but be worried when he was like this.

Seraphine had the same idea as Rosie, to get changed into pajamas, but then remembered at the same time that all of their things were back in the hotel room, and she momentarily looked very put out. Rosie's apology drew her attention though, and she quickly shook her head, "No, it's okay, don't worry about it."

Again he failed to produce a verbal response, and his only movement was a small shake of his head.

She tilted her head when he answered silently, not feeling much better about it, but believing him.
"Did you want to lay down?"
She didn't see another bed, there were three, and four people. but that didn't concern her, she didn't need the bed, if she needed too she had a warm pokemon to sleep by, if she would be able to sleep at all.

Sera had just sat down on one of the two beds in their room, but she paused to look at Luke and Rosie.

Yet again, he simply shook his head, but the realization came to mind that the room was configured for two occupants and that Rosie and Seraphine actually wanted to use it for what it was for. Wearily he pushed himself upright, murmuring a quiet and vague, "I'll go." He could sit in the hall just as easily as he could sit anywhere else, and he would bother fewer in doing so.

"Oh! no no, that's not what I meant." Rosie started, very suddenly, horrified that she had made it sound like he needed to leave. "No you don't have to go if you don't want. I didn't see any other places to sleep, you can take the bed if you wanted, or the seat... thats all." she added, sounding a little flustered as she tried to figure out what to say.

"Yeah, you can stay if you want," Sera added in quickly, although honestly there wasn't room enough for three people... And even though Rosie offered to give up her bed, Sera was not about to sleep on the floor. It just looked so dusty and gross and.. eugh. Rosie was too nice to care about that though, and the brunette felt a small pang of guilt that it didn't bother her friend at all, whereas it bothered Sera quite a lot.

One more small shake of his head, "I'm not going to sleep, so…"

Rosie blinked, lowering her hands to her side for only a moment. "Oh."
She stood for a few seconds. "well, you still don't have to leave if you don't want to, there is at least a place to sit here..."
She glanced over to the seat. "Would a walk help maybe?"
It didn't feel very cold outside, not that she remembered, but then again, she spent most her time on a flaming horse.
