Salem looked up at the fierceness in Ryan's face while he fumed about his loss, propping himself up with one arm as he held his briefcase in the other. Surely this wasn't the last people would hear from The Lion, who subsequently stormed out of the arena following his anger-laced speech. Pushing himself up, Salem tried to stand, neglecting to put much pressure on the ankle Ryan had struck moments earlier. Sore and stiff, the rookie hobbled towards the ropes, trying to make it out of the ring before someone else got a wild spur to attack him.

The Dream watched as Salem came crashing down from the cable, briefcase in hand. He watched as Ryan beat Salem with the ladder after the victory. Cyrus, seeing Salem get up and attempt to leave, he looked down at his own ladder. "Hey Croft!" The Dream shouted before Salem could exit the ring.

Brody, having rolled out of the ring after falling from the ladder, leaned against the apron, nursing an injured right arm. While he reached out to brace himself, his arm buckled under his weight and crashed down onto his wrist. He repeatedly extended his fingers, making sure he could still move his hand. He barely reacted to the uproar that Salem's victory had caused, and only looked up to see Ryan and Salem exiting the ring. He heard Cyrus call out to Salem, but right now, Brody didn't care. He'd already lost the match and he didn't feel like getting hit in the face anymore. Instead, he turned to the barricade and carefully climbed over to make exit through the crowd. He absentmindedly slapped at a few open hands with his left as he climbed the stairs, concentrating on getting to the backstage Doc to get his arm checked.

Salem had just gotten onto the apron when he heard Cyrus call out to him, causing the rookie to pause. Though many had started recovering, or had left the ring entirely, the pair presently standing on the canvas still appeared to have unfinished business. The crowd grew louder as Salem turned around, clutching his ribs with one arm while cradling the briefcase to his chest with the other. Looking back into the ring at The Dream, a tense, almost aggressive tone in Salem's stare as he waited for Cyrus to make his peace.

The same aggressiveness in The Dream's eyes, and Cyrus still had the ladder in hand, looked about ready to charge at Salem with it. He paused however. Cyrus suddenly threw the ladder down to the side. Looking at Salem, then looking to both sides of the audience, the former manager slowly extended his hand out to Salem. "Here's my two cents."

Salem stared suspiciously at Cyrus, skeptical there was truly any real friendship behind the gesture. Though it appeared sincere, the raven-haired rookie just had a sense about people and something told him that "The Dream" was just blowing smoke. Their grudge hadn't been squashed yet, especially not with that briefcase in Salem's hands, but for now, it'd have to wait. Shaking his head, Croft scoffed and stepped off the apron, starting to walk towards the ramp in the stage's direction.

Cyrus watched as Salem scoffed at his sportsmanship, and turn his back on him. Rage began to swell up in Cyrus as he looked down at Salem departing. His hand balled up into a fist, quivering from the hatred building in him. Who did Salem think he was turning his back on The Dream? Salem had done nothing but insult and cheap shot his former manager for the better part of a year! Moreover, management had denied him the chance at revenge against Salem and handed him an opportunity! Cyrus' couldn't help but hate Salem, but he hated the company even more for aiding Salem. Not only that, but hated the fact that exactly one year ago he volunteered himself to help this man get to the top. And now, Cyrus stood alone, and unsuccessful in the ring at Wrestlemania. Cyrus suddenly picked the ladder back up and flung it at Salem as he made his way to the ramp.

His back turned to the ring, Salem was oblivious to the lucid rage that possessed Cyrus to take hold of the nearby ladder and throw it at him, the length of steel stairs smacking him square against the shoulderblades with a sickening noise. Falling forward with a scathing cry, Salem laid at the bottom of the ramp, arms and legs weakly moving while he squirmed gingerly beneath the ladder that was now atop him. The crowd gasped and applauded the act of aggression, cameramen moving from ring to ringside as to catch a better angle on the action.

Cyrus stared down at Salem with hatred and malice in his eyes. He took a moment to gaze at his handiwork. Brushing his hair from his eyes to look out at the audiences applauded reaction. What the hell did they care what The Dream did? Salem was the bad guy here! This action was fully justified! This further enraged The Dream. The world was against him this night. Why? He did nothing to deserve this treatment. His eyes turned back to Salem, this man had thoroughly pissed off Cyrus. He suddenly rushed at the ropes, and hopped off the middle rope attempting a springboard senton into the ladder atop the Charismatic Calamity!

The rookie was writhing beneath the ladder, struggling to get back onto his feet following the bone-rattling blow he'd been dealt when Cyrus tossed the ladder out at him. Salem had probably taken more of a beating after the MITB match than he had during, what with Ryan viciously assaulting him, only for Cyrus to immediately after. Still reeling from the lingering effects of the previous encounters, Salem was helpless to avoid the Seated Senton - his chest arching upward while a gut-wrenching scream issued through his lips, eyes popping wide from the shock and excruciating pain of being pinned to the base of the ramp.

Pain momentarily filled The Dream's back after hitting the aerial maneuver. He rolled off the ladder onto his knees, pressing his hand to his back for a moment before grabbing the ladder and pulling himself back to his feet. He looked down at the rookie and began shouting. "YOU WANT TO TURN YOUR BACK ON ME SALEM?! HUH?!" Cyrus held the ladder up vertically and looked to send it downwards, into Salem's spine.
