Bruno sat straight-backed in his chair in surprise. "Uh... um..." If his tan took on a reddish hue at that, he would deny it to no end as Glacia snickered beside him. "Haha... uh... Thank you, miss," he called back. "That's... very nice of you." He then tried to go back to watching the crowds like that happened everyday.

Rosie, Luke

No sooner had Rosie told them of their names than the people introduced themselves, and Nicolette held a hand to her lips. Rosie had to be one of the most knowledgeable people she'd ever met - she knew practically everything about pokemon! She'd always had an answer to every question either of them had ever posed to her. That, she knew, was a true and unshakeable sign of vast knowledge. She was so lucky that Luke had introduced her to the girl. Briefly she considered asking how Rosie knew, but it sounded like they were all relatively famous pokemon people, so it made sense for her to know who they were.

All Rockets

Each of the Rocket's trainer 'dexes would buzz with a short message from Claire:

The panel should be starting about now. Keep me updated throughout, if possible.

-----

Whoever, idk he's practically by himself at this point

When Inigo's temporary 'dex buzzed with a new message, he pulled it out and replied with a brief affirmative, and, given his position behind Rosie, found it prudent to type out a quick, short message with what the girl had explained to her friends. Not like he knew any of those League people by name or sight, so his friend's words were, unbeknownst to him, rather useful. It actually made him feel really bad.

Nicolette, Rosie

Just as Rosie finished naming the individuals at the microphones, they introduced themselves, reaffirming the names and the way they connected to the faces. Rosie's additional information - the fact that they were members of the Elite Four and Champions - confirmed that they were indeed every bit the important and highly skilled people they appeared to be. It was kind of impressive that such significant people had been called out to such a small region; such was the threat of Team Rocket, it seemed. The thought was bittersweet.

Crowd, etc

Henrietta sat on the edge of the seat she'd grabbed amid the group; swinging her legs as she hung onto every word, and stared at the League members. It had only been a few minutes, perhaps, but it might have been one of the longest times, in days, that she'd been even a little bit quiet.
Her face held a properly excited, pleased grin.

Gummy, still holding the plush toy in his mouth, sat just in front of her, on the floor. He was as interested in the panel as he was in anything else.

The attention at the table turned first to Bruno. Clearing his throat, he leaned forward and slid his microphone closer to the edge of the table. "To begin, a little history. Team Rocket is a major crime syndicate that originated years ago in the Kanto region. They were forced underground for a time, only to reappear in Johto sometime later. They make their money from stealing Pokemon, illegal Pokemon breeding and experimentation, deal heavily in the black market, and participate in many other forms of dangerous and illegal activities. We believe their ultimate goal is to expand their network and influence. In short, and not intending to sound cliche when I say this, but... world domination."

He glanced to his peers at the table to see if they had anymore to add to the description. When they did not, he continued. "In Johto, Team Rocket was again found out and forced into the underground. We have kept a watchful eye for them in case they were to resurface, but it seems competition has kept them out of the other regions so far. Unfortunately, it seems they have decided to move away from regions overseen by the League completely, and have begun rebuilding here in Kodo. Their more recent activities include stealing the Blue Orb and Sky Plate, the theft of many local Pokemon companions, and an appearance at a recent competition in Kanto.

"Are there any questions at this time regarding Team Rocket and their background?"

The same woman from before eagerly jumped up to ask a question of Bruno, but an assistant quietly moved to encourage her to re-seat herself and discouraged her from asking her question a second time.

For some reason, the explained history of Team Rocket made Inigo rather uncomfortable. He didn't want world domination, or even Kodo domination - he had just wanted to continue his experiments on his plants, not hurt people or steal anything...

-----

Nicolette couldn't help but raise her hands to her cheeks in her surprise. She'd heard very little of Team Rocket so far, but what these important people were saying... sounded awful. Terrible. To move to somewhere that appeared defenseless... It was so horrible.

Bruno

Henrietta thrust her hand up and then didn't wait to be asked to speak, jumping up right away instead.
"Yeah! Why can't we just go to where the Rockets are an' kick 'em out?! They just use dirty tricks and don't play fair but I totally bet we could take them on and win if we all went to kick them out right?!"

Gummy, jostled slightly by his trainer leaping up, gave his support through an impassioned silence and slight tail tic.

League Trainer Rosie

Kodo was the perfect location, no League in Kodo, and so few Trainers, it was no wonder Team Rocket picked them.
It made her feel sad though, especially knowing how serious this was.
Henrietta had her hand in the air, and was asking her question, without even waiting for the mic to be passed to her.. Rosie smiled a little, but a little sadly, it was a good youthful mindset, and Rosie just wished it was that easy.

Henrietta

There was a scattering of whispers and snickers at the child's enthusiastic questioning. Bruno, however, smiled proudly. Ah, the Champions of tomorrow.

"That is an excellent question, young lady, and we would very much like to do so. Sadly, we do not yet know the whereabouts of their primary base. Tracking methods have been used in the past, but the desert to the north and mountains to the center have rendered those attempts faulty. Team Rocket did have what appears to have been an outpost located near Camphoreon at one time, but that has since been raided and successfully removed from the problem."

Once Bruno finished, Alder couldn't help but grin broadly at the girl and her enthusiasm as he leaned forward to add, "So you could say we went and kicked 'em all out."

Rosie

The information was mostly new for Luke, who had heard nothing of any of it before. It was strange to think that Kanto once faced the same problem; he had seen no tell of it when the went for the competition, but then the average visitor to Kodo probably wouldn't see the signs either - unless they were the unlucky sort, like poor Nicolette. The information did raise a couple of curiosities, however, but he felt them insignificant to ask of the panel and turned them to Rosie instead, in a suitably quiet voice, "Do you know how Team Rocket was driven out of Kanto? Or if they have a presence in other regions as well?" There were League representatives present from all regions, after all, but it was just as likely that that was only because of the severity of the issue at hand…

Panel

Once Henrietta's question was answered. Rosie blinked when Luke leaned over to speak to her, she glanced over at him, tilting her head then sat up, raising a pink gloved hand in the air, waiting there until a mic was handed to her.

"Hello." she spoke cheerfully into the mic, "I've got a couple of questions actually, the first, a few of us were wondering how Team Rocket was able to be beaten back when they had made their appearance in Kanto. How did you win? And the second, If there still a threat from Team Rocket in those regions today?"

Henrietta listened to the answer and frowned a little at the idea that they still had no idea where the Rockets might be located, though she didn't really know much about tracking or how things might not be as easy as 'follow Rockets to base'.
She couldn't help but grin, though, as Bruno, and then Alder, talked of the Rocket's losing an outpost near Camphoreon.

"Awesome! I bet they're totally scared of losing now!" She finally sat down, question answered, but remained on the edge of her seat, in case she needed to leap up again.

Gummy, now using the artificial Totodile like a pillow, had moved a little to one side, on all fours.

A history of Team Rocket, one that was run by a much less compliant leader.
Faleen kept her eyes down as she tapped on some commands on her dex. to set it on record. Sure that there would be other Rockets able to send Claire life updates on what was happening, in the meantime she would have something to reference. Too bad she didn't think to bring Porygon.

The first question was quaint, but rather repulsive at the same time, naivety at its finest, it was the second question that gave the women pause, knowing that voice very well.
So it seemed Rosie was here, no surprise.

"Another fine question." Bruno folded his muscled arms. "Team Rocket was forced back by the League and diligent trainers bit by bit. We chipped away at them and their influences bit by bit, until there was little left, and their crime ring dissolved and fled.

"As for your second question," the man's response became much more intense and passionate from that point onward, "we are only aware of Team Rocket's active presence here in Kodo. It could be that they are snaking their way back through the underground, but their center is here. We have ground them down before, and through rigorous training and determination, we shall do so again! Hoo hah!" The Bruno fans in the crowd were obvious as they mimicked the cheer in unison (the woman from before jumped up and screamed). Bruno leaned back and laughed as the assistants tried motioning to get the crowd to settle down once more so the panel could continue.

"But now I will pass the torch to Glacia." His piece done for the time, Bruno sat back once more in his chair.

Glacia nodded curtly. "On the topic of Team Rocket's more recent dealings, there have been rumors and speculation concerning a number of Legendary Pokemon. We can confirm that several Legendaries have indeed gone missing for various lengths of time, and we believe Team Rocket had some influence in those disappearances. However, most of those Legendaries have had more recent sighting reports. If they were captured before, then it would appear they have since managed to escape. There is still the question of Kyogre as one of those still reportedly missing, and Hoenn's Champion, Steven Stone, is currently heading the investigation into the matter. We are confident that Kyogre will be returned home safely."

“It could be,” Cynthia added as she pulled her microphone closer once Glacia was finished, her tone a little more optimistic, “that Kyogre has escaped like the rest of them and just has yet to be spotted by any of our colleagues.” The woman paused before switching topics.

"On the subject of rumors, there is another in particular I'd like to address today. I'm not sure how many of you have heard it, if any, but it is this: That there is another team that is a rival to Team Rocket." Cynthia paused briefly to regard the audience before her, then continued. "They are called Team Galactic, originally based in Sinnoh, but seemingly disbanded and disappeared some years ago - like Team Rocket did, as Bruno mentioned earlier,” she explained as she lifted a hand in palm-up gesture towards her colleague before continuing. “Also like Team Rocket, it seems they're making a comeback, although we don't know as much about them as we do of Team Rocket. They've inadvertently made their presence known in various ways, but have yet to come out directly." Another pause, as her gray eyes scanned the audience. “Does anyone have any questions about these Legendary pokemon or about Team Galactic?”
